what is the treat you can give your puppy while training?

i am getting a westie this weekend was wondering what is best and how much to give :)

@ollieapril I use his regular kibble dog food when I am in the house or working on simple things. When I am training a new behavior or really want him to go WOW this is worth working for, I use string cheese, cream cheese, or any cheese for that matter, chicken, roast beef, or natural balance dog food roll. However, I make sure to feed him a little less of his normal meals when we are training and using a lot of rewards. Also, no seasoning on the meat, just meat. :) Hope that helps! Pam

@chihuahuabulldog Thanks Ann, It is amazing how fast our pups grow up! I can't believe that Isabelle is 5 and that Bandit is 3. It seems like yesterday that I got them. @hunkymonkeykaine Awesome! My husband and I will be going to the clicker expo. He has gone to 3 with me. He only likes working with our dogs, but maybe one day I will get him to train for my business. hehe! It will be awesome to meet you in person. :)

He's beautiful Pam!, and growing so fast! I've been a huge fan of your training methods and they have helped me more than I can ever thank you for with my Comet and Fancy. Both are Aussies Comet is now 9 months old and Fancy 4 months. Comet is my Blue Merle male and he is the highstrung one!! SO much fun. Fancy is my sweet little girl but she's a litte go getter herself! What a joy they are and have taken to the training like a duck to water. Thanks so much for your teaching!!
