One of the main tenets of these creepypastas is leaving you with a bizarre twist that gives the story an element of mystery, like in the one TLF did about the lamp post. What makes it scary is that everything can be explained until that last sentence.

Actually, what they take into account is that the woman in the video is approximately X inches tall. On average people X inches tall have a femur measuring Y inches long. They take the femur of the burnt crispy critter, remove remaining tissue, since tissue burned to this capacity is useless, and measure the femur, and if they do not, you know you do not have the same person. Woot. Criminology.

That explains why the body was different and since it was on a tripod she could get cut it the tape without it looking odd and she hid it so if they found it it would look like she is dead and she confused the detectives. perfect murder
