A question I always ask converts to Islam is this: "presumably you used to believe that stars are celestial bodies of hot gases that radiates energy derived from thermonuclear reactions in the interior. Now that you are a Muslim you are compelled to believe that they are in fact made to guard against jinn who attempt to listen to "the secrets of heaven" (Qur'an S. 15:16-18). Please explain, scientifically, why you now accept this view?"
@vermentinu.Muslim divide Quran in 2 parts.One dealing with clear advices,2nd deals with"mutashahbiat",meaning immediately you can not understand the verse. The above is one of them (i think so, i am not an authority on Quran).For instance in chapter Yaseen,Allah has addressed prophet that he has created many transportation means such as camel,horse,donkey,ships,boats etc and he would create many more but you would not understand them. Surely 1400
@vermentinu , because , we do believe that they are gasses , and at the same time we believe that they guard against jinn . why would u ask someone who has just converted into a religion something they probably did not learn ?
The problem with your view is that it has no basis in reality. Remember that 7th century Arabs were poorly educated and very superstitious. They would believe all kinds of nonsense which we in the 21st century find ridiculous. Islam is still stuck in the 7th century - that is why you still blow kisses at a stone in homage to Islam's pagan origins at the Kaaba.
Where do you get idea that Quran denies that stars were made out of hot gases?
Yet again, how do you know that stars are not guarding the secrets of the heaven. You do realize that the temperature of the star would burn anything trying to get even close to the star?
"how do you know that stars are not guarding the secrets of the heaven. "
I Don't, but then again I don't know that there are ice cream factories on Jupiter either, but I think it's rather unlikely. A question for you - Do you think that ants can talk and be understood by humans?
Even if ants communicate with each other obviously humans cannot understand their language. However, humans can understand why ants do what they do.
Even though we don't know what is meant by the secrets guarded by the stars, we do know that stars have purpose such as giving needed light to planets with life on them, they have gravity which attracts planets around them to orbit them, and we do know that nothing living can come near stars as it would not be alive anymore.
"Even if ants communicate with each other obviously humans cannot understand their language."
I fully agree with you, unfortunately the Qur'an takes a different view (Sura 27:18-19). This is yet another example of the ridiculous legends, myths and fables found in the Qur'an and Hadith. Amongst other ludicrous examples is that of Adam allegedly being 90ft tall! Uneducated, superstitious Arabs in the 7th Century would have believed such things, but we are now in the 21st Centrury.
@samtubeca Becuase of the laws of physics ? You made perfect order of it, but really order and chaos are non-existant out of this universe (relativity). It's not proof for god, let alone for Islam.
Because things in the universe and on Earth follow certain patterns and obey certain rules, we humans were able to observe those laws in physics, mathematics, biology, chemistry, etc. These laws make perfect sense because there is no randomness, life had to follow this same rule, therefore it did not happen by chance. If anything is happening by random chance than this universe would be in chaos.
@samtubeca Look I'm not an Atheist myself. You don't have to convince me. I do believe however that there is no physical proof for it. If you want to discuss this with me I'd love to (and I really do respect your opinion!). So please mail me via youtube or if you want to (not forcing you) give your email via youtube and I'll add you on msn. But I'd prefer not to spam this video =). Have a nice day.
@samtubeca Do you have any idea how many planets exist within this universe ? Chances are atleast some of them contain life. I'm just going to put it this way, If people who RESEARCH these things find no reason to believe in god than it is a respectable position. It's pretty simple really : If a biologist knows more about biology than you and concludes that there is no evidence for god in Biology then chances are there is none and most of our arguments come from ignorance.
@samtubeca You completely missed the point. If certain conditions have to be met for life to exist and you have a nearly endless amount of planets its only normal for life to exist. Your argument is flawed. Whether you want to accept that is a whole different matter.
Actually you are the one talking about probability, and using flawed logic here. For probability you need to have some statistics, but you don't. You only have opinion based on assumptions, and your philosophy. And just as you may not agree with my opinion, I do not have to agree with yours either.
In order for life to exist obviously certain conditions exist, but these certain conditions also have to be maintained to preserve this life. Even if life adopted to conditions, how come then that other planets in the Solar System do not have abundant life on them too, or any in fact?
According to your logic every planet should have life on it, as due to probability theory of yours, life has an equal chance to develop on any planet.
Atheists believe that life formed on Earth some 4 billion years ago and to prove this theory they often use 1950's experiment performed by Urey-Miller. Experiment was rejected by science, but atheists refuse this and constantly bring it up in discussions. Had experiment produced any viable evidence and had it been realistic, it would be reproduced and perfected by now and probably replaced by some far more advanced experiment which would produce undeniable results.
Religion cannot be disproved and it is a personal choice.
Even if scientists can prove that life can form out of non-life, how do we know that this is not the way that God programmed things to happen?
Therefore, it is on us to believe or not to believe in the God.
Those who believe in the God, do not need any evidence to be produced for them, they will in fact find evidence everywhere around them, just as those who do not believe in God will reject this evidence.
Noble Quran in fact stated correct facts 1400 years ago. These facts were proven by modern science thousands of years later, but atheists work hard to twist these facts in Quran and disprove them. Atheists interpret things in the way they want and often take words out of context. They corrupted Holy Bible in the past, and are now using distorted parts of the Bible to say how Bible is bad, how Christianity is bad, and how religion in general is bad...
@samtubeca Sorry I can no longer take you seriously. Because you are simply projecting your own hypocrisy onto me and onto atheists. Even though I'm not an atheist, science doesn't have an agenda (it is simply looking for a model that works) and you use your own ignorance to craft theories that aren't there.
ALOT of religion can be disproved due to some things being contradicting or psychologically impossible (some gods just can't exist!). And yes it is a choice, make it an informed one.
They way in which you express your self, I seriously doubt that you believe in a God. However, even if you do you should know by now that in religion there is no hypocrisy. In religion you either believe, or you don't, you can doubt, but you eventually find the right path.
I am sure that you cannot find a real argument in Islam which can be disproved other than using a false logic which can disprove anything obviously...
@samtubeca Who the fuck are you to judge what I believe in or don't believe in. I'm a deist. I believe in god, however I don't believe it is important or even relevant to believe in one. My existence and capacities are not determined by me being right or wrong about the god thing. I'm not saying you are a hypocrite when it comes to believing, I'm saying you are a hypocrite because of what you said it has little to do with your religion. And the Islam can be disproven.
@samtubeca It's called psychological argument, its bad moral values , its called contradicting lines in the Qur'an , its called lack of practical use. How many lives has Islam saved ? *none* (unless you coun't the souls saved ofcourse but you can't count those untill you prove Islam is usefull). How many lives have been saved by science ? Millions. Every day. Thats why I "believe" in science. Because it works.
@samtubeca Now if you want a discussion then fine. But atleast have the decensy to admit you use flawed logic when you're using flawed logic. And don't call my logic flawed if it has a practical use and a predicting value. Again discuss with me via mail or msn but not on this video. Have a nice day.
If you are deist, I do not have anything to discuss with you about religion because you are equal to atheist in any of the Abraham's religions as you do not believe in THE GOD.
I do not deny that science saved many lives, but you do deny that science was abused to destroy much more lives than it saved because people always abuse everything that can be used for good purposes, in order to serve them and for them to gain money and power.
@samtubeca Also I was just stating that science works. Nothing else. It's cruel but the nuclear bomb on hiroshima is still an example that it works :P. Whether it is moral is a question similar to money. Both aren't immoral, it's what we do for them and with them that makes us immoral. People should just take responsibility for their actions already. Ow and 2 more things : They already try to get more money and power, they have always tried and always will and especially Islam recently.
The Arabic word "Islam" means "submission", and is derived from root word "Selam" meaning "peace". Therefore, Islam is a religion, and not just a civilization.
Also word "muslim" means "one who surrenders and submits to the laws of God" and in fact Muslims do not have race, nation, or color of skin as they come from different backgrounds.
Islam requested complete reform of Arab politics and traditions. It requested people to stop worshiping idols and thus threatened the social influence, and economical wealth of Mekka that was enjoyed at that time.
Traditional Arab world did not see this as a good gesture, so they prosecuted and murdered Muslims whenever, and wherever they could. People which you call 'nice people' were killing Muslims, and attempted to kill Mohammad saws several times, but they did not succeeded.
@samtubeca Look mate, I know all this stuff. I know what happened to it and how it partly got corrupted due to the european opression at some point. However religion in general needs to die, I'm not saying the belief in god mind you, specifically religion. The interpretation of Islam doesn't just go against alot of morals, just like all other religions it severely hampers conscious acting. If we want to evolve past this mess we need to become conscious. Therefor religion has to die.
Furthermore, Quran loves science and in fact encourages Muslims to learn, to know, and to research. Quran have lot of scientific facts which were discovered only in 19th and 20th century. However, if we want to see the science in a bad light it will not be hard. as science made wars deadlier than it was ever imaginable. Around 80 million people died in the WWI, WWII, and Soviet Union. Science also helped spread Ebola, and AIDS virus due to immaturity, and lack of precautions.
To conclude, Islam helped the world as it forbade bad things and encouraged people to do good things. Quran also made Arabs leading civilization in the past because it asked them to learn to read, write and think. First word revealed to Mohammad was "ikre" (learn/recite), woman gained respect and equal status in society, and finally Quran taught Muslims that we are all brothers and sisters and that we are all equal in front of Allah.
Religion is the only thing that gives most of us conscious my friend. Without religion we become shameless, do things that are immoral, and have no limits.
As you said yourself, people corrupt everything, not just religion. Evil always prevail over good.
Actually, did you ask yourself why humans desire to do bad things?
I wish you could see that and that you could find truth and true belief in one God.
I pray God to give you faith and I hope He will help you find His way. Ameen!
In fact, flaw is in your interpretation of my words.
1. I said: "we become". This means that originally we aren't shameless, or immoral, but once we reject religion we tend to become such.
2. We all make mistakes (evil things), and evil is visible more than good deeds. Thus, evil prevails over good, and I demonstrated this to you even in the case of science.
3. God gave choice to all of us thus He does not need, to intervene all the time as we would not really have a choice then.
1) Actually most immoral people are religious and even if we calculate in the difference. Check the %age of atheists in prisons for example, or check the numbers of crime done by religion. People came first, not religion. So people had to be bad first according to your reasoning.
2) You just see to much evil. Look for the good and review this statement.
3) I'm agree with this statement (I'm a Deist so its essential to my belief)
"Check the %age of atheists in prisons for example, or check the numbers of crime done by religion."
Religion is generally broader term than atheism, and atheists get away from any situation by saying that individual, or group that committed something is not associated with them. Communists and socialists are essentially atheists as well.
Stalin and Hitler, two biggest murderers in the history of Earth, both were in fact
atheists, even though Hitler abused religion to deceive people.
Psychology is nothing, but a philosophy of assumptions that do not apply to every case because even though we are similar we are also very different.
Without neurology, and the other sciences psychology would be nothing since it cannot be based on logic, as it doesn't have proven methods, laws, or rules.
Opinion based on theological point of view which in my opinion is much better because in fact it is logically possible, and thus not need to be psychologically possible.
And here is an example for you based on my life experience.
I was raised in an atheist family, but as I was growing up I didn't see logic in atheism, so I accepted Allah and became Muslim. After I became Muslim, I was constantly harassed by people around me, including my parents. Unfortunately
this did hurt me a lot, but my point here is that despite the external influences, and despite the problems I had, I remained Muslim in my heart, even though I was not raised as one.
Due to problems around me, war, two near deaths, family problems, health issues. I felt that life had no purpose and I became very depressive.
Eventually, I started swearing at God for bad things as people told me that God is bad if existed.
Eventually I realized that people are in fact bad as all bad experiences came from them, so I did my research and found Islam and Allah the only God that helped me and saved me to survive the war, and depression which no psychologist could cure.
One of the slave owners ordered his black slave Bilal to hit one of the Muslims with lash because he was spreading message of Islam in market place.
Bilal refused to hit this Muslim, and testified himself that Allah (God) is one. After hearing that, the slave owner started beating Bilal, and wanted to kill him by putting huge rock on top of his chest.
Thanks to Allah's mercy it happened that Abu Bakr es-Sidik (Muslim) came along and payed a lot of gold to set Bilal free.
Idol-worshipers didn't care because similar to the other pagans in the world at that time they did not even treat a woman as a person.
However, Allah warned Muslims in Quran that woman is equal partner to man, and deserves equal social status, is eligible to inherit property, and to secure their economic future they are given a gift before the marriage that they get to keep in case that marriage would not work out, so that they would not revert to prostitution in order to survive.
And just before you misinterpret my words, let me say again:
1. Science is good when you use it for good things - to heal people.
2. Science is bad when you abuse it to make weapons of mass destruction, and any weapons in fact that murder people.
So far most money to advance science was spent in the military field. Therefore, your argument that science saved many lives, fails big time here because as I said science killed much more people than it saved on global scale.
@samtubeca Sorry mate but you're wrong. Science saved way more people than it killed. You might not like it but right now 1000s of people could be dying of small pox. Also that's like saying : well let's not use fire to cook our food anymore, it killed more people than it saved.
This event definitely inspired people that truly accepted Islam to do the same. Thus Islam abolished the slavery in the Muslim world. In fact people who accepted Islam were competing in good deeds in return for reward in the afterlife by Allah swt.
Also Allah warned Muslims to stop practicing pagan habits such is one where parents had to bury female children alive if they were first born or if they were poor.
Before your counter-argument, let me also say that Quran challenged people to seek for knowledge and talks about facts in science that were discovered only in 19th and 20th century.
Also let me tell you that Quran saved many lives by:
- preventing racism and hate,
- preventing parents from burying their child if they were poor,
- saved many slaves from slavery, and early death had they stayed slaves. Muslims were buying slaves from their slave-owners and setting them free.
I'm not arguing against the existence of a creator: what I am saying is that the purpose of the sun is to enable life to exist. Islam imagines that stars are comets are things that get flung around at non-existent beings (Jinn). You may also wish to ponder the significance of the crescent moon in Islam, as well as the reason why you feel it necessary to try and kiss a stone.
Noble Quran, Sura 27:18-19 speaks about prophet Solomon who was granted gift of communication with animals and jinns. In which way this communication was carried out I do not know anything about this, but I surely do not doubt that the creator of the Universe is almighty and that he can do whatever He wants. If God created everything and if he wants something to be the way He wants it to be who am I to doubt in His creation, or His choices.
"Noble Quran, Sura 27:18-19 speaks about prophet Solomon who was granted gift of communication with animals and jinns."
You are making the mistake, common to most Muslims, of making the Qur'an your start point, without actually looking into its origin and where the information it contains comes from. In the case of the talking ants myth - this comes from a Jewish legend, as does many other things in the Qur'an. In fact the Qur'an contains virtually nothing that is original.
1. Every nation that existed on the Earth, not just Jews, Christians, and Muslims were sent a prophet.
2. Quran confirms that Torah and Bible WERE words of God. However, humans altered words of God with words that will serve them better in this world, so God revealed Quran in which he revealed new as well as repeated some of His previous words considered as important message to humanity and He promised that Quran unlike Torah and Bible would not be changed until The Last Day.
"so God revealed Quran in which he revealed new as well as repeated some of His previous words"
No, Allah, Muhammad and Gabriel are all the same person: Muhammad - who suffered from paranoid narcissism, suicidal tendancies and possibly epilepsy. In short, he was demon possessed. Muhammad never received any revelations from God, they were simply a mixture of twisted Bible stories, Jewish fables, Arab paganism and gnostic texts, compiled into the Qur'an long after his death.
3. Even though virtually Quran may look like the Bible, or Torah, it is nothing like any of the two. Quran contains no blasphemy such as saying that Jesus is a god, or that Moses stoned people, or that Lot was drunk and slept with his daughters thus committing incest, etc.
4. Quran is full of texts that never existed in the Bible or Torah, and many scientific facts that were correct and proven in 19th and 20th century.
"Quran is full of texts that never existed in the Bible or Torah,"
The Qur'an contains no historical evidence or prophetic writings. The Bible can be backed up by archeological evidence and extensive fulfilled prophecies. Contrast that with the Qur'an, which has absolutely no historical, archeological or phophetic evidence to back up a single thing it says. The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, particularly the Great Isaiah Scroll, verify the Messianic prophecies.
5. Furthermore, Quran is considered a miracle for poets because when recited it sounds like most beautiful poetry ever written in Arabic, yet it contains scientific facts, and God's message to humanity.
6. Regarding the prophet Solomon. Muslims see him as one of the great prophets, son of David who had profound judgment, and because of his honesty God gave him ability to speak language of animals and control elements.
7. If you believe that God is Almighty, then you should not doubt that anything is possible for Him. If God created universe and everything in it, than why is it a problem for God to make someone speak to animals, or elements? Yet again we do not know in which way this was done. Actually, scientists claim that they are able to understand sign language of certain animals; thus as I said before I do not know how Solomon was able to understand animals, but he was.
"I do not know how Solomon was able to understand animals, but he was."
This is just blind faith on your part. The point is that uneducated, superstitious, 7th century Arabs would have believed such nonsense without question, as they would have believed that Adam was 90 feet tall. One only has to read Ibn Kathir to see how fantastical and irrational is the thinking compared to the 21st Century.
Finally, I think that you should read New Testament, Torah, and Quran before you speak again because people who read all three may laugh at you because similarity among the three books is very small. However, as I already said just because some words may seem to exist somewhere else does not mean they
were copied from somewhere else, as God is All-knowing and He created all; thus we only discover and describe what is known to us, but God knew already ahead of us.
@samtubeca Islam once was one of the most scientific and bright civilizations, however then europe came and when opressed society turns to a more leftist aproach. Its mass psychology. Now I don't really care how it happened : We have a problem and we have to fix it. And right now the problem is called Islam. And if you want to contest that fine. But give proof that Islam and only Islam was the reason they did it. And not just people being nice.
@samtubeca For the record I don't hate the left approach (I'm prolly left aswell) I'm just using a understatement. Many muslims don't even realize that half of what they do is not as a result of the Qu'ran but of the change of minds due to the european opression.
"just because some words may seem to exist somewhere else does not mean they were copied from somewhere else."
It does when the wording and themes are virtually identical. Most Muslims simply have no idea that nearly everything in the Qur'an is lifted (sometimes literally) from existing, earlier, sources. For example the talking baby Jesus myth in the Qur'an is lifted from the apocryphal Arab Infancy Gospel. There are dozens of other examples of course.
Muslims know that Sun gives life, they used stars for navigation and astronomical calculations for centuries. Muslims also new that Earth is round, and that orbits the Sun, as well as that Sun and Moon have an orbit also.
All this was written in Quran long time ago before science even discovered all of this.
Most people in fact believed that Earth is flat and that it was the center of the universe, carried on the back of giant turtle standing on four elephants...
"7th century Arabs would have believed such nonsense without question, as they would have believed that Adam was 90 feet tall."
While in Heaven Adam was 90 feet tall, on Earth his physical characteristics changed. If you are God ALMIGHTY and you create universe and everything in it, you create atoms, electrons, and even smaller particles than that, why would be a problem for you to create a man in whatever size, and do whatever else you want to do with him?
Arabs also believed that Earth is oval while rest of the world believed it was flat until 17th century. They believed that Earth revolves around Sun its own axis thus the Quran speaks of wisdom in shifting of day and night. They believed that Sun and Moon have their own orbits in which they revolve around other celestial bodies, and that there are multiple galaxies (7 actually).
But, until modern science proved all these facts rest of the world believed that Arabs were delusional.
@samtubeca I understand your point of view but not all people are bad , in fact very few are. Most are just misguided by fear,hatred and other emotions/desires. I feel your pain and I hope that one day both you and your country will find peace (of mind). But please this is no reason for Islam. It works for you yes, but that doesn't mean it works objectivly.
"I feel your pain and I hope that one day both you and your country will find peace (of mind)."
Thank you. I already found peace of mind, and I do not live in 'that' country anymore.
"I understand your point of view but not all people are bad"
I agree with your statement because I know lot of good people, and ever since I accepted Islam I realized that majority of the Muslims are very good people.
@samtubeca Tell that to the thousands of people who had their lives spared or destroyed because of the fairy tale "science". I'm pretty sure they'll tell you it worked.
You say: "It works for you yes, but that doesn't mean it works objectivly." and "Actually most immoral people are religious"
Sorry, but for me it is hard to believe that Muslims are immoral people, as I never had such experience. Those claiming to be Muslims, but not acting accordingly, I do not see them as Muslims (i.e. Mukmins).
I was never betrayed by any Muslim brother or sister, and in fact when I needed help and advice from them I always got them.
My own father advised me to have sex at age of 12, and gave me example that smoking and drinking is normal.
In Islam I learned opposite, to stay away from cigars, drink, and passions.
I realized how bad dirty language leads to shamelessness, disrespect, and immorality. So, after I managed to stop swearing, I became much
better inside. I stopped talking about other people and their lives, and instead gained my life back. I started helping people instead of criticizing them.
In fact in Abraham's religion, Allah created angels and jinns before man, and ordered them to worship Him. Angels had no choice but to obey, but jinns were given free will, so one of them disobeyed Allah as he refused to bow to His creation - Adem. Obviously, according to this view, religion came before people.
"You just see to much evil. Look for the good and review this statement."
I said before I do not see evil everywhere.
I also said when someone does something evil people will remember him by that evil thing longer than they would if he had done thousand of good things in his life.
Furthermore, I never said that science did not work, in fact what I said is that science serves for both good, and bad just as everything else.
Another problem we did not take into account comes from the fact that people tend to generalize. Even if you would lets say remove religion as one aspect of generalization, people would still generalize in terms of race, gender, nation, ethnic background, etc.
It is simply in human nature to associate individuals to groups of people. Individual responsibilities are rarely observed as such, but are rather looked up from the aspect of the whole society based on of the generalizations.
Finally, Islam is against generalizations based on nation, race, gender, or ethnic background. In Islam everyone is the same and everyone who truly accepts Islam has that view about everyone else.
I have brothers and sisters among every nation, and ethnicity in this world, and I love them all based on level of their love for Islam, and their love for the other brothers and sisters.
Malcolm X in his speech before he was assassinated made a statement, "Islam is the cure for racism".
If you do not see the bond among the people of all races, nations, ethnic backgrounds, genders, etc. than something is wrong with your observation my friend. No society, culture, ideology, or religion has achieved level of equality among the people that is achieved in Islam.
Extremists do exist in every religion no doubt, but yet again they will pay for their sins eventually, and to ignore everything God gave us in Islam because of such individuals it is stupid to even expect such thing.
@samtubeca Look I don't have time right now to answer all your statements but a quick one :
You're against generalizations based on nation,.gender so am I I never said I wasn't. I never said I was against religious people. My problem comes with the ideaology itself. The very *core* of religion, not the extremists. I don't care for a fw idiots claiming to do something in the name of their god. How can you know Hitler was an Atheist if he said over an over again he's a christian (creationist).
You see I know that you don't know much about Islam it is very obvious, but at least if you want people to respect you then do not talk about something you don't know.
In Islam, we don't believe that Jesus paid with his life for our sins. On contrary, in Islam Muslims are aware that whatever we do and whatever happens is because of our own actions and deeds. Thus even God's intervention is last measure, and this is something which you obviously have a hard time to understand.
@samtubeca An example : Science denial , Using god as a center (it might seem good to you but people should fucking take their responsibility already instead of saying "oh It was due to god", harder to become conscious (alot harder) , more passive, lower moral level, lower IQ. NOTE : THESE ARE AVERAGES ON AVERAGE A MUSLIM IS NOT AS INTELLIGENT AS AN ATHEIST, IT SAYS LITTLE ABOUT ALL MUSLIMS BUT EVERYTHING ABOUT ISLAM.
Muslims observe God as creator of everything, but unlike deists we believe that God cares about His creation. Thus if we do bad things to each other, we consider that God will not tolerate this injustice forever and will eventually intervene and send His punishment upon those who prosecute God followers.
Muslims also believe that God gives guidance because He loves us, and cares
about us. He protects us, and wants us to live as sisters and brothers in harmony.
@samtubeca That god is psychologically impossible (he would either contradict himself or cease to be a god). Also isn't it arrogant to want god to care about what we do every day ? I mean really we may deem all these things serious but isn't life just like kid playing in the park from his perspective ? I mean we'll be alright in the end ? Also I talk about religion in general I don't need to know details, I'm attacking the core, the essence on which religion is based.
Ahteists and alike only believe in material things. Every action, everything in life they do is in order to have some material reward in return. Atheists are destroying nature, killing animals, they actually made some animals disappear of the face of the Earth in the name of luxury, modern life, and the other
material stuff. Just look at those fur companies, they raise wild animals in captivity and skin them alive in order to make coats from their fur.
I am even afraid to think what kind of society we would have without God's intervention, probably some cocky stupid fat asses claiming to have high IQ while disallowing others to even read or learn and keeping them slaves for rest of their lives. Islam brought literacy throughout the Arab world and advanced Muslims in astrology, mathematics, medicine, mechanics, etc. While atheists in Europe were burning witches and believing in blind science.
Your words of philosophy: "That god is psychologically impossible (he would either contradict himself or cease to be a god)."
If God could contradict himself, he would not be God in the first place.
However, your deist god could possibly contradict himself as he is selfish self-sufficient god who does not posses qualities of the real God anyways as he is imaginative just as everything else you believe in.
god which you invented because your atheism didn't make sense...
@samtubeca Look I can explain my views when it comes to god or any of my views really but it will take alot of time. Youtube's comment section is not suited for that.
Also IF you falsify all data that doesn't contribute to your view on reality you'll find your reality to be true but not stroking with reality.
Your philosophy: "isn't it arrogant to want god to care about what we do every day I mean really we may deem all these things serious but isn't life just like kid playing in the park from his perspective"
No, it is not arrogant from God to be concerned about life He created if he cared about His creating it in the first place. If you abandon children after birth, they are not likely to survive on their own. Someone has to take care of them until they are able to take care of themselves.
Your further words of philosophy: "Also I talk about religion in general I don't need to know details, I'm attacking the core, the essence on which religion is based."
Very wrong thinking there, no sense or any logic because you do not know what the core of religion is unless you know everything about religion.
However, if you meant basis of religion instead, that is totally different thing, but you cannot attack even basis of religion unless you know at least something about it.
Furthermore, you obviously don't see the difference between psychology and philosophy. I observe that you see life and everything very superficially.
But let me tell you that knowledge is necessary in case you want to talk or discuss about something, as you need proof to support your claims which in your case you don't have.
Therefore, you contradict your self and your statement because in fact you prove how low IQ you must have to believe that knowledge is not important.
@samtubeca If you really want to know my IQ fine : Its 137 without rilatin and when tired. Very low if compared to brilliant people like Einstein but fair enough to discuss with you. I'm telling you the psyche of said god is impossible. Nothing more, nothing less.
Muslims essentially know biology, physics, economy, religion, and other sciences as our religion does not forbid us to learn about anything and in fact encourages us to broaden our knowledge in everything.
While you think you can sell some philosophical crap and that people should
listen to you just because you seem smart to yourself.
In my opinion it seems to me as if you suffer from some serious pathological narcissism since you have so high opinion about yourself for no good reason.
@samtubeca You lack psychological insight. I'm probably the complete opposite of a narcisist (I didn't mention myself or any of my talents (if I have those) ONCE). I'm just saying that science denial is a stupid thing to do if your intentions are creating a better world. I'm saying that religion is bad thing if you want a better world. Your religion encourages you to study ? Look at the numbers ... The current interpretation clearly does not. Until 2005 Islam contributed less than harvard.
You lack lot more than you think, so no point in discussing with you.
If Allah SWT had put veil on your eyes, and your soul, so that you cannot see the truth, I can't remove that veil.
I guess you are suffering from ADHD since you are using Ritalin, or maybe you are just a drug junkie, but I would suggest you not to trust too much to your psychologists, as mine couldn't even remember my problem when I walked-in into his office as he wasn't expecting me that last day I came to him.
@samtubeca I never went to the psychologist. I take rilatin for a concentrationproblem, I *dont* have ADHD (you can't get high from rilatine afaik btw). And you failed to be specific. I asked you to be specific in your response but you aren't. So I'm going to assume you're just saving your own ego from butthurt =). Thanks!
If you are referring to the document you posted on scribd I couldn't even access it. And furthermore, this same goes for you: "Also IF you falsify all data that doesn't contribute to your view on reality you'll find your reality to be true but not stroking with reality."
You falsify everything I say, but you expect me to believe in what you want me to believe? Don't you understand that is useless to discuss who is right or wrong.
@samtubeca I don't falsify by using random shit. I actually use reason and research to back up my claims. If you don't understand it then fine but don't say I just falsify everything you say. It has always interested me how religious people are such hypocrites. And This is a sincere thought. And I actually have that right, I don't think I have it I *have* it. Do you want me to quote the lawbook of all non retarded countries ?
"I don't falsify by using random shit. I actually use reason and research to back up my claims."
Like what for example?
Just as I said before, you cannot use hypothesis and theories that are not confirmed by observation, or experiment as proof of anything.
Furthermore, you are big hypocrite and you even like using that word to make you feel better about yourself while diminishing others, and their opinion.
"non retarded countries" - non retarded in your opinion...
@samtubeca If a theory has a predictive value it is more likely to be true then if a theory doesn't. I could smack you with logic on your head and you still wouldn't recognise it. In fact that is what I'm doing right now.
1. Your research comes from Wikipedia, and anti-Islamic web sites...
2. Note that logic has nothing to do philosophy, or psychology as you prefer to think. Philosophy is nothing that cannot be argued with more philosophy while logic is something that cannot have two different outcomes.
3. You constantly talk about proof, but you never presented even one obvious evidence to prove anything.
4. Your philosophy is boring as you keep repeating the same stuff over and over.
@samtubeca It's also what I'll stop doing right now. Something tells me that there is no point in educating a monkey if said monkey doesn't want to be educated. Good luck with your life =).
I personally don't believe that humans are descendants of monkeys, but if you do I will respect that as it helps me understand why you refer to yourself as "monkey doesn't want to be educated."
I actually, noticed long time ago. Your first language is English, but you are not even good at English.
Furthermore, you don't understand the basic difference between the logic, and psychology, or philosophy in general.
So if you want to be monkey I guess I cannot help, but to let you be.
Matter is coming down to purely whether you want to believe, or not.
And just as you said, you choose your faith and I choose mine. You do not have to believe in what I believe, and I do not have to believe in what you believe.
Islam is faith open to everyone who wants to believe in One God, but I don't have right to force you to accept Islam, just as you should not have right to talk against Islam, but you think obviously that you have that right...
Furthermore, I never said anything against science.
Muslims contributed to science more than you or anyone else can even think.
But, due to the history written by haters nowadays, and the fact that whole media in North America is owned by 5 Zionists no wonder you hear all kind of stories.
Luckily not everyone is stupid to believe in all that crap. Some people are really educated and can use their brain while some people just think they are educated and they are waste of brain.
@samtubeca You've just breached another one of stupidity's gates. We never said Islam wasn't meaningfull to science in the past. It just isn't right now. You said things against science. I adressed them. Stop argueing about it.
"We never said Islam wasn't meaningfull to science in the past. It just isn't right now"
Qur'an is book of signs, and not book of science.
Quran is above science, and is not comparative to science in any way, but it seems that you like to think that way.
Quran contains things which were discovered, and proved just recently, and also Islam contains things which will be discovered, and proved in the future, but atheists/deists will continue to argue this...
One thing which you fail to observe, but if you are any serious about your life and where you are heading with it is that whatever is proven scientific fact is in accordance with Quran.
However, hypothesis, and U-turns which science often makes, don't disprove anything in the Quran as they are not proved by science yet, but are based on theories that can change tomorrow.
So, unless it is proven fact based on evidence, or observation we should not use it to discuss something.
@samtubeca I'll save all your comments on a word document and answer each of your statements and questions individually. I'll also try to cite sources.
@samtubeca w.w.w. scribd com/doc/38848891/Fallacy Your response in wordfile. Thanks for everything! I hope this discussion was as usefull for you as it was for me .
"You blindly believe in magical fairy tales of science theories that everything was created out of nothing, molecules randomly formed life once, but then that never happened again..."
No I don't. I believe in a creator God, but that God is not an impersonal, unknowable entity like Allah, who's attributes most closely match 'The Force' from Star Wars. Incidentally, this is one reason why Muslims get so much more upset over criticism of Muhammad rather than Allah.
"That is exactly what Quran said about Bible, that it was twisted. You are copying Quran words now."
The burden of proof is on the Qur'an, not the Bible to prove its authenticity, by virtue of the fact that the Qur'an was written hundreds of years later. For example, If I was to claim that the Shakespeare's play - Hamlet - has been altered and corrupted, the burden of proof would be on me to prove my claim and provide earlier manuscripts to back up my assertion.
"The Qur'an contains no historical evidence or prophetic writings."
It doesn't have prophetic writings obviously as Quran is Word of God, therefore you are right about that one. As for historical evidence, even Napoleon once said that "history is a lie agreed upon".
Therefore, everyone see history in their own way. Quran speaks about certain events, as well as lot of hadith, but obviously this history is not important to you.
"It doesn't have prophetic writings obviously as Quran is Word of God,"
It the Qur'an is the Word of God then fullfilled prophesy is exactly what one would expect. The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, and in particular the Great Isaiah Scroll, verify the Messianic Prophecies given in Isaiah 53 and Psalm 22. Isaiah was written 700-750 years prior to the birth of Christ. Psalms was written about 1020 years prior to Jesus' birth. The Qur'an is no older than the 8th Century AD
And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. Revelation 5:6
da sun god n da moon god is paganism but ALLAh is ALLAH N dats x-tian propaganda here is what quran is against to worship anyting besides him, n here is the evidence in the holy quran :-
41:37 (And from among his signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon.PROSTRATE NOT to the moon and the sun, but prostrate to ALLAH who created them, if you really worship him)
so if you have stablished evidences come up with it, dats lie n if u wana kno dat search it in quran 4 ur own way.
The problem is that the Qur'an is not evidence. Obviously it says worship Allah. What you need to realise is the ORIGIN of Allah, which is a pre-Islamic pagan Moon-god. That is why the Qur'an mentions moon worship in the first place. The pagan Arabs worshipped the Moon-god Allah by praying toward Mecca several times a day.
that's lie that arabs used to worship a moon-god and prayed towards mecca, because it was mohammed (saw). who got revelation from ALLAH to pray towards mecca when the christians and jews said to him why r u praying towards our QIBLAH or towards qudus. and as i told you before no creation in this world we worship but the creator, ALLAH.who created the universe, to say arabs worshiped the sun, moon, stars and even idols but when islam came the light of knowledge came out and reached the world
let me clearify 1 thing which is when arabs worshiped the moon-god they worshiped also many other things like the sun...but not prayed towards mecca, though mecca was a holy place since its building, and ALLAH was not a pagan god but it's the ELLEI or ILOHIM, who was known even the jews and early christians..i.e.. jesus said..praying one day...ellei..! ellai lima sabaqtani..which means god why you left me...so god or ALLAH is the same god we have known since the begining of humanity,
That is what you have been taught to believe, but it is not borne out by the facts. The pagan Arabs worshipped the Moon-god Allah by praying toward Mecca several times a day; making a pilgrimage to Mecca; running around the temple of the Moon-god called the Kabah; kissing the black stone; killing an animal in sacrifice to the Moon-god; throwing stones at the devil; fasting for the month which begins and ends with the crescent moon; giving alms to the poor, etc. It is all pagan.
You are mistaken. Allah is definitely NOT the God of the Bible. If you insist that Allah is not a title, but the personal name of the God of Islam. This becomes problematic since, according to the Holy Bible, the name of the God of Abraham is Yahweh/Jehovah, not Allah: God spoke further to Moses and said to him, "I am Yahweh (YHVH) and I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as God Almighty; BUT BY MY NAME, YAHWEH, I did not make myself known to them." (Exodus 6:2-3)
do you think that god was known jehovah the time of abraham, isaac and ismail and jacob and all in history and the word of jehovah or yahweh is the original name word of your god, wake up and learn your religion, don't you know that its and invented name by the middle age christians and all other christians deny the existence of such a name and BRITANICA DICTIONARY and other dictiionaries will tell you that so make a search and you will the result, that it's not as you think and it's invented
Different Arab tribes used Allah to refer to their personal high god. Allah was being worshipped at the Kaaba in Mecca by Arabs prior to the time of Mohammed. It was formerly the name of the chief god among the numerous idols (360) in the Kaaba in Mecca before Mohammed made them into monotheists. Historians have shown that the moon god called Hubal was the god to whom Arabs prayed at the Kaaba and they used the name Allah when they prayed.
What did Jesus (PBUH) call God at the time of his existence?
Etymology is the study of words...
ilah or ilahi was the common word used for God in those days...
In Arabic... the word for THE is AL... as in Al insan = The Humanl Al Haiwan = The Animal or Al Musafir = the traveler... so when we say Allah, it actually is two words Al ilah = ALLAH...
which means The God!
just because we follow the lunar calender does not mean we worship it...
Your hypothesis fails on several levels. In Hebrew scripture the name of God is considered sacred and, out of deep respect for the name, Jews do not say the name of God and do not erase it if it is written. Jesus spoke Aramaic, not Arabic. One of the names that Jesus called God was 'Abba' (Mark 14:36) which actually means 'Daddy' - He addressed God as a child would his own father! Remember also how Jesus described himself in John 8:58, for which the Jews stoned Him.
@vermentinu . don't say it's said or historians say or it's said that islam is like that or that, but try to make your own indepedent search about islam and read the Quran, we all read novels and fiction sories or watch films and we give that time so give it time and read it a week and open your mind about islam and muslims and their belief instead of films, romance and novels you are in a modern world and everything is easy to get or recieve so you can get more about these things we discuss now
Muslims read the Qur'an with the presupposition that it is an exact word-for-word copy of God's final revelation, which are found on the original tablets that have always existed in heaven. This is a very big claim to make, and simply does not stand up to scrutiny. I read the Qur'an as a uniquely 7th-9th Century Arab piece of literature, which simply reflects the mentality and culture of that time.
The Quran has over a 1000 verses that reveal to us scientific miracles that scientists have discovered only in the past 100 to 500 years with the aid of a alot of research and technology. From immaculate details of embryology to marvels of space - enough to prove that it has to be from The God as an illierate man in the middle of the desert couldn't have possible known all that at that point in time.
That is talking about little more that the culture at that point in time.
Sadly your assertion fails to stand up to scrutiny. It is your 'Belief' that an interpretation of the Quran contains modern science demonstrates that it is from Allah. No verse in the Quran contains outright science. It does not say: "Lo! E=mc2" Another point to consider is, if if the Qur'an is a book of science like you claim, then why would Allah allow infidels to prove all these things hundreds of years later? Why not Muslim's years earlier?
@vermentinu ok if you read it like arab piece of literature. did you liked it?is it so exciting?which surah you read? may be you didn't read it ever. but any one can't read qur'an you should be clean, i mean if you don't have shower,ablution or wash your hands,face and foot. to have a good hygiene, you shouldn't read.whatever you believe about it.
assalamu alaikum..very touching video..allahu akbar.To those who have misconceptions about Islam..you should open your mind and heart read the qur'an for yourself..theres 200,000 converts every year in US alone..germany 4000 a year uk 20,000 so we arent converting on ignorance..Islam is the truth and if you read the qur'an youd see its nothing to do with killing or cults as the propaganda lying zionist media machine brainwashes people to belive

15:16-18). Please explain, scientifically, why you now accept this view?"
vermentinu 1 year ago 7
@vermentinu.Muslim divide Quran in 2 parts.One dealing with clear advices,2nd deals with"mutashahbiat",meaning immediately you can not understand the verse. The above is one of them (i think so, i am not an authority on Quran).For instance in chapter Yaseen,Allah has addressed prophet that he has created many transportation means such as camel,horse,donkey,ships,boats etc and he would create many more but you would not understand them. Surely 1400
yrs ago present transports were not known him
ok748 1 year ago
@vermentinu , because , we do believe that they are gasses , and at the same time we believe that they guard against jinn . why would u ask someone who has just converted into a religion something they probably did not learn ?
SafaYouness 1 year ago
@SafaYouness
The problem with your view is that it has no basis in reality. Remember that 7th century Arabs were poorly educated and very superstitious. They would believe all kinds of nonsense which we in the 21st century find ridiculous. Islam is still stuck in the 7th century - that is why you still blow kisses at a stone in homage to Islam's pagan origins at the Kaaba.
vermentinu 1 year ago
@vermentinu
Where do you get idea that Quran denies that stars were made out of hot gases?
Yet again, how do you know that stars are not guarding the secrets of the heaven. You do realize that the temperature of the star would burn anything trying to get even close to the star?
samtubeca 1 year ago
@samtubeca
"how do you know that stars are not guarding the secrets of the heaven. "
I Don't, but then again I don't know that there are ice cream factories on Jupiter either, but I think it's rather unlikely. A question for you - Do you think that ants can talk and be understood by humans?
vermentinu 1 year ago 2
@vermentinu
Even if ants communicate with each other obviously humans cannot understand their language. However, humans can understand why ants do what they do.
Even though we don't know what is meant by the secrets guarded by the stars, we do know that stars have purpose such as giving needed light to planets with life on them, they have gravity which attracts planets around them to orbit them, and we do know that nothing living can come near stars as it would not be alive anymore.
samtubeca 1 year ago
@samtubeca
Uneducated, superstitious Arabs in the 7th Century would have believed such things, but we are now in the 21st Centrury.
vermentinu 1 year ago
@vermentinu
Now can you answer my questions:
- What gives a star such huge gravity?
- What causes constant thermonuclear reactions, and interchangeable fission and fusion inside the stars?
- Why do planets orbit stars, instead they could get attracted by the gravity of the star, and sucked in?
- Why do electrons, and protons follow their orbits inside an atom - this is the same pattern as planets orbit the star?
- Why is everything in the universe in the perfect order?
samtubeca 1 year ago
@samtubeca Becuase of the laws of physics ? You made perfect order of it, but really order and chaos are non-existant out of this universe (relativity). It's not proof for god, let alone for Islam.
ForYeensSake 1 year ago
@ForYeensSake
Who sets the law of physics?
Because things in the universe and on Earth follow certain patterns and obey certain rules, we humans were able to observe those laws in physics, mathematics, biology, chemistry, etc. These laws make perfect sense because there is no randomness, life had to follow this same rule, therefore it did not happen by chance. If anything is happening by random chance than this universe would be in chaos.
samtubeca 1 year ago
@samtubeca Look I'm not an Atheist myself. You don't have to convince me. I do believe however that there is no physical proof for it. If you want to discuss this with me I'd love to (and I really do respect your opinion!). So please mail me via youtube or if you want to (not forcing you) give your email via youtube and I'll add you on msn. But I'd prefer not to spam this video =). Have a nice day.

All of the conditions that support life on Earth today, could not all happen by chance.
- Earth is formed of elements that support life, but other planets in Solar System, are not.
- Earth has magnetic field and atmosphere which protects it from Solar winds which would otherwise destroy everything on Earth.
- Earth gravity allows us to walk on Earth along with friction which prevents us from falling or slipping.
Many other things support life on the Earth, and could not be random things.
samtubeca 1 year ago
@samtubeca Do you have any idea how many planets exist within this universe ? Chances are atleast some of them contain life. I'm just going to put it this way, If people who RESEARCH these things find no reason to believe in god than it is a respectable position. It's pretty simple really : If a biologist knows more about biology than you and concludes that there is no evidence for god in Biology then chances are there is none and most of our arguments come from ignorance.
ForYeensSake 1 year ago
@ForYeensSake
In fact, Muslims believe that we are not the only planet with life on it in the universe: "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the WORLDS" (1:1)
samtubeca 1 year ago
@samtubeca You completely missed the point. If certain conditions have to be met for life to exist and you have a nearly endless amount of planets its only normal for life to exist. Your argument is flawed. Whether you want to accept that is a whole different matter.
ForYeensSake 1 year ago
@ForYeensSake
Actually you are the one talking about probability, and using flawed logic here. For probability you need to have some statistics, but you don't. You only have opinion based on assumptions, and your philosophy. And just as you may not agree with my opinion, I do not have to agree with yours either.
samtubeca 1 year ago
@ForYeensSake
In order for life to exist obviously certain conditions exist, but these certain conditions also have to be maintained to preserve this life. Even if life adopted to conditions, how come then that other planets in the Solar System do not have abundant life on them too, or any in fact?
According to your logic every planet should have life on it, as due to probability theory of yours, life has an equal chance to develop on any planet.
samtubeca 1 year ago
@ForYeensSake
Atheists believe that life formed on Earth some 4 billion years ago and to prove this theory they often use 1950's experiment performed by Urey-Miller. Experiment was rejected by science, but atheists refuse this and constantly bring it up in discussions. Had experiment produced any viable evidence and had it been realistic, it would be reproduced and perfected by now and probably replaced by some far more advanced experiment which would produce undeniable results.
samtubeca 1 year ago
@ForYeensSake
Religion cannot be disproved and it is a personal choice.
Even if scientists can prove that life can form out of non-life, how do we know that this is not the way that God programmed things to happen?
Therefore, it is on us to believe or not to believe in the God.
Those who believe in the God, do not need any evidence to be produced for them, they will in fact find evidence everywhere around them, just as those who do not believe in God will reject this evidence.
samtubeca 1 year ago
@ForYeensSake
Noble Quran in fact stated correct facts 1400 years ago. These facts were proven by modern science thousands of years later, but atheists work hard to twist these facts in Quran and disprove them. Atheists interpret things in the way they want and often take words out of context. They corrupted Holy Bible in the past, and are now using distorted parts of the Bible to say how Bible is bad, how Christianity is bad, and how religion in general is bad...
samtubeca 1 year ago
@samtubeca Sorry I can no longer take you seriously. Because you are simply projecting your own hypocrisy onto me and onto atheists. Even though I'm not an atheist, science doesn't have an agenda (it is simply looking for a model that works) and you use your own ignorance to craft theories that aren't there.
ALOT of religion can be disproved due to some things being contradicting or psychologically impossible (some gods just can't exist!). And yes it is a choice, make it an informed one.
ForYeensSake 1 year ago
@ForYeensSake
They way in which you express your self, I seriously doubt that you believe in a God. However, even if you do you should know by now that in religion there is no hypocrisy. In religion you either believe, or you don't, you can doubt, but you eventually find the right path.
I am sure that you cannot find a real argument in Islam which can be disproved other than using a false logic which can disprove anything obviously...
samtubeca 1 year ago
@samtubeca Who the fuck are you to judge what I believe in or don't believe in. I'm a deist. I believe in god, however I don't believe it is important or even relevant to believe in one. My existence and capacities are not determined by me being right or wrong about the god thing. I'm not saying you are a hypocrite when it comes to believing, I'm saying you are a hypocrite because of what you said it has little to do with your religion. And the Islam can be disproven.
ForYeensSake 1 year ago
@samtubeca It's called psychological argument, its bad moral values , its called contradicting lines in the Qur'an , its called lack of practical use. How many lives has Islam saved ? *none* (unless you coun't the souls saved ofcourse but you can't count those untill you prove Islam is usefull). How many lives have been saved by science ? Millions. Every day. Thats why I "believe" in science. Because it works.
ForYeensSake 1 year ago
@samtubeca Now if you want a discussion then fine. But atleast have the decensy to admit you use flawed logic when you're using flawed logic. And don't call my logic flawed if it has a practical use and a predicting value. Again discuss with me via mail or msn but not on this video. Have a nice day.
ForYeensSake 1 year ago
@ForYeensSake
If you are deist, I do not have anything to discuss with you about religion because you are equal to atheist in any of the Abraham's religions as you do not believe in THE GOD.
I do not deny that science saved many lives, but you do deny that science was abused to destroy much more lives than it saved because people always abuse everything that can be used for good purposes, in order to serve them and for them to gain money and power.
samtubeca 1 year ago
@samtubeca Also I was just stating that science works. Nothing else. It's cruel but the nuclear bomb on hiroshima is still an example that it works :P. Whether it is moral is a question similar to money. Both aren't immoral, it's what we do for them and with them that makes us immoral. People should just take responsibility for their actions already. Ow and 2 more things : They already try to get more money and power, they have always tried and always will and especially Islam recently.
ForYeensSake 1 year ago
@ForYeensSake
(continued)
samtubeca 1 year ago

Ameen!
samtubeca 1 year ago
@samtubeca Please learn more about the human psyche. It is most obvious to me that you assume things. Just to point out some huge flaws :
If people are immoral by nature they wouldn't recognise the qur'an as a moral book.
If evil prevails over good than according to your reasoning god has failed (since he is almighty and he intervenes)
I did ask myself why humans do bad things and I got my answers. I can asure you ; yours are psychologically impossible.
ForYeensSake 1 year ago
@ForYeensSake

However, Allah warned Muslims in Quran that woman is equal partner to man, and deserves equal social status, is eligible to inherit property, and to secure their economic future they are given a gift before the marriage that they get to keep in case that marriage would not work out, so that they would not revert to prostitution in order to survive.

So far most money to advance science was spent in the military field. Therefore, your argument that science saved many lives, fails big time here because as I said science killed much more people than it saved on global scale.

@samtubeca
In fact the Qur'an contains virtually nothing that is original.
vermentinu 1 year ago
@vermentinu

@samtubeca
Muhammad never received any revelations from God, they were simply a mixture of twisted Bible stories, Jewish fables, Arab paganism and gnostic texts, compiled into the Qur'an long after his death.
vermentinu 1 year ago
@vermentinu (cont)
3. Even though virtually Quran may look like the Bible, or Torah, it is nothing like any of the two. Quran contains no blasphemy such as saying that Jesus is a god, or that Moses stoned people, or that Lot was drunk and slept with his daughters thus committing incest, etc.
4. Quran is full of texts that never existed in the Bible or Torah, and many scientific facts that were correct and proven in 19th and 20th century.
samtubeca 1 year ago
@samtubeca
The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, particularly the Great Isaiah Scroll, verify the Messianic prophecies.
vermentinu 1 year ago

5. Furthermore, Quran is considered a miracle for poets because when recited it sounds like most beautiful poetry ever written in Arabic, yet it contains scientific facts, and God's message to humanity.
6. Regarding the prophet Solomon. Muslims see him as one of the great prophets, son of David who had profound judgment, and because of his honesty God gave him ability to speak language of animals and control elements.
samtubeca 1 year ago
@vermentinu (cont)
7. If you believe that God is Almighty, then you should not doubt that anything is possible for Him. If God created universe and everything in it, than why is it a problem for God to make someone speak to animals, or elements? Yet again we do not know in which way this was done. Actually, scientists claim that they are able to understand sign language of certain animals; thus as I said before I do not know how Solomon was able to understand animals, but he was.
samtubeca 1 year ago

This is just blind faith on your part. The point is that uneducated, superstitious, 7th century Arabs would have believed such nonsense without question, as they would have believed that Adam was 90 feet tall. One only has to read Ibn Kathir to see how fantastical and irrational is the thinking compared to the 21st Century.

Finally, I think that you should read New Testament, Torah, and Quran before you speak again because people who read all three may laugh at you because similarity among the three books is very small. were copied from somewhere else, as God is All-knowing and He created all; thus we only discover and describe what is known to us, but God knew already ahead of us.

Thus even God's intervention is last measure, and this is something which you obviously have a hard time to understand.

@ForYeensSake

Quran contains things which were discovered, and proved just recently, and also Islam contains things which will be discovered, and proved in the future, but atheists/deists will continue to argue this...
samtubeca 1 year ago
@ForYeensSake

On the other hand, atheists and alike, invented racism, fascism, nationalism, slavery, capitalism, N-isms.
Atheists and deists invented non-religious political and social systems which work mostly for the people on top and who have power and money.
Poor people suffer all around the world because laws protect rich, and don't care about poor people.
Middle class was invented to serve as a measure between the two, so that we can look upon those below and say, there is worse than me.

That is exactly what Quran said about Bible, that it was twisted. You are copying Quran words now. Wow. Careful, that is called plagiarism.

God in the Bible is a lamb loooool
And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. Revelation 5:6

Pick a religion, any religion..
The contract entered into with any god of your choosing is very simple and always the same.
You agree that one day you must die to go and be with your god.
No one said you had to die but your god.
Death is eternity in the Sun, the blazing lake of fire, where all excess energy in this Solar System is drawn by gravitational pull.
This also includes human life force energy released from the body at death.
Therefore it is not wise to follow the religious to god

da sun god n da moon god is paganism but ALLAh is ALLAH N dats x-tian propaganda here is what quran is against to worship anyting besides him, n here is the evidence in the holy quran :-
41:37 (And from among his signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon.PROSTRATE NOT to the moon and the sun, but prostrate to ALLAH who created them, if you really worship him)
so if you have stablished evidences come up with it, dats lie n if u wana kno dat search it in quran 4 ur own way.

The problem is that the Qur'an is not evidence. Obviously it says worship Allah. What you need to realise is the ORIGIN of Allah, which is a pre-Islamic pagan Moon-god. That is why the Qur'an mentions moon worship in the first place. The pagan Arabs worshipped the Moon-god Allah by praying toward Mecca several times a day.
vermentinu 2 years ago
that's lie that arabs used to worship a moon-god and prayed towards mecca, because it was mohammed (saw). who got revelation from ALLAH to pray towards mecca when the christians and jews said to him why r u praying towards our QIBLAH or towards qudus. and as i told you before no creation in this world we worship but the creator, ALLAH.who created the universe, to say arabs worshiped the sun, moon, stars and even idols but when islam came the light of knowledge came out and reached the world
zOmAlGaNg23 2 years ago
let me clearify 1 thing which is when arabs worshiped the moon-god they worshiped also many other things like the sun...but not prayed towards mecca, though mecca was a holy place since its building, and ALLAH was not a pagan god but it's the ELLEI or ILOHIM, who was known even the jews and early christians..i.e.. jesus said..praying one day...ellei..! ellai lima sabaqtani..which means god why you left me...so god or ALLAH is the same god we have known since the begining of humanity,
zOmAlGaNg23 2 years ago
@zOmAIGaNg23

This becomes problematic since, according to the Holy Bible, the name of the God of Abraham is Yahweh/Jehovah, not Allah: God spoke further to Moses and said to him, "I am Yahweh (YHVH) and I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as God Almighty; BUT BY MY NAME, YAHWEH, I did not make myself known to them." (Exodus 6:2-3)
vermentinu 2 years ago
do you think that god was known jehovah the time of abraham, isaac and ismail and jacob and all in history and the word of jehovah or yahweh is the original name word of your god, wake up and learn your religion, don't you know that its and invented name by the middle age christians and all other christians deny the existence of such a name and BRITANICA DICTIONARY and other dictiionaries will tell you that so make a search and you will the result, that it's not as you think and it's invented

@zOmAIGaNg23
Historians have shown that the moon god called Hubal was the god to whom Arabs prayed at the Kaaba and they used the name Allah when they prayed.
vermentinu 2 years ago
moon god?
Brother, do you know the meaning of Allah?
What did Jesus (PBUH) call God at the time of his existence?
Etymology is the study of words...
ilah or ilahi was the common word used for God in those days...
In Arabic... the word for THE is AL... as in Al insan = The Humanl Al Haiwan = The Animal or Al Musafir = the traveler... so when we say Allah, it actually is two words Al ilah = ALLAH...
which means The God!
just because we follow the lunar calender does not mean we worship it...
Lerizi 2 years ago
@Lerizi

I read the Qur'an as a uniquely 7th-9th Century Arab piece of literature, which simply reflects the mentality and culture of that time.
vermentinu 2 years ago
Dear Brother,
The Quran has over a 1000 verses that reveal to us scientific miracles that scientists have discovered only in the past 100 to 500 years with the aid of a alot of research and technology. From immaculate details of embryology to marvels of space - enough to prove that it has to be from The God as an illierate man in the middle of the desert couldn't have possible known all that at that point in time.
That is talking about little more that the culture at that point in time.
plumray69 2 years ago
@plumray69
Why not Muslim's years earlier?
vermentinu 2 years ago
@vermentinu ok if you read it like arab piece of literature. did you liked it?is it so exciting?which surah you read? may be you didn't read it ever. but any one can't read qur'an you should be clean, i mean if you don't have shower,ablution or wash your hands,face and foot. to have a good hygiene, you shouldn't read.whatever you believe about it.
