Oh wow, gorgeous, I've seen some that big at an aquarium in my local library. Pretty awesome to see them up close like that. The're like mermaids very graceful.....lol

The Koi specialist near me has a big black and orange 7 yr old koi even bigger than that one. It was raised in japansese mud lakes till it was that size.

I have a koi, that started as a 2 inch fish, and he was put into my 30 gallon tank. He's been in it for 3 years.... and he wont stop GROWING!!! I only feed him a teaspoon of pellets about once everey 3 days! HES OVER 15 INCHES NOW! :O

To think, Im the one that worked at a pet store...and I cann figure this out.

Hes going to end up the size of these fish here in no time at all. :S

you can tell the different between koi and goldfish by the whisker, koi have whisker goldfish doesn't and sometime most of the koi bottom are flat. Koi and goldfish both came from the carp, but koi came from common carp and goldfish is from crucian carp

Sorry for answer little late via sandee, youre right, I liked so much those kois, I have in my aquarium 60 gallons, 9 Kois, Refering to my comment Alagran Puta que grande esos Kois Puta madre, there is not specific traslation in that, its a spanish expression, like say OHH MY GOOD, or that is a fuck awesome koi, is just a admiration word!!!
