Garageband makes it really easy to edit the instruments, it has every type of instrument imaginable and you can mess with the settings on each one (timbre, tuning, resonance, ect) and you can actually make any sound you want if you understand d how programming synth works. Plus you have the option to import your own drum sounds/samples and edit the bass, reverb, pitch, ect. Garageband is pretty much limitless if you have a good mind and know how to work it. Super underrated program.

@shivom90 not necessarily.. depends on what you do with em. sometimes you can use the supplied loops and go in and edit them to make them your own sound. i usually just always make beats from scratch cuz then i know the beat is more my style and sound that i'm looking for.

@djSchway they're decent, not great. they're pretty simple and seem a little lacking and because of that a little unoriginal. some of dre and swiss beatz best and most famous stuff is very simple but clearly superior... so its ok if its simple but its just harder to make a great beat out of it. but its pretty hard to get into it with tags litterally every 2 seconds -- extremely annoying. i had to shut off after only a minute or 2 because of them.

At the same time though, I kind of understand why they would do it that way...there's a lot of rappers who are really cheap and instead of paying for an untagged version, they would just download the tagged one for cheap, cut out the tags, and loop the untagged part to get an untagged beat, which seems kind of unfair to the producers. How would you counter something like that?
