But most public institutions are not sure if they are allowed to expose students with such graphic footage which is also a main reason why they wont show it on TV.

@NuMetal92 we do focuse on TWD we now have many laws on texting. for example. the laws here are if you get caught TWD its $750 fine and 3 months in jail, if you hit somone (not killing them) its a $1,000 fine and 6 months in jail. and if you kill somone its $10,000 fine and 15 YEARS in prison. they many not show this on tv as offen as your country, but we do talk and learn about it all the time. (btw i've been to 3 different schools and i've seen this at all of them)

When you turn it on, if someone texts you, it will respond automatically to that text saying you're driving and will get back to them soon. When you turn it off, you will receive all the texts sent to you while you were driving. But I see there are several to choose from, as well.

It's like going to an alcoholics anonymous meeting even though you aren't an alcoholic. AA seems kinda silly to me because I'm not an alcoholic, but alcoholism does kill people. In fact, a close friend of mine died from alcoholism. I don't know anyone who's died from texting and driving, though. :)

@WhiteIceMan3 Just because the car was hit doesnt mean all the airbags will deploy. Airbags only deploy if certain censors are alerted that the car reached a certain G-Force or the impact crushes the censor. Plus depending on the model of car and where the car is the safety standards are different so maybe there was only one or two in the car. Also just because the airbags deploy doesnt mean they will live. I was at an accident were the airbags deployed but the girl still ended up dieing.

Sensors may not have been as sensitive as today ans some of them aren't even wearing seatbelts. At least they have EURONCAP, NHTSA just started being tough. I've seen this video all over the internet. In The Netherlands you'll get fined if you're texting behind the wheel, but I know that it's still permitted in some countries.

I just can't believe that people would risk their life for sending a message. In my opinion every country should pay more attention to drinking/texting/speeding and driving...

The problem with these PSAs is they concentrate on one stupid thing. Don't drink and drive. Don't eat while driving. Don't text and drive. Point is, some people should just NOT BE DRIVING at all. They just plain suck. Yet, somehow they get their fucking licenses and make the roads insanely dangerous for everyone else. Fuckers. They need to make a PSA for the people who hand out drivers' licenses. "Should you really give this selfish little 16-year old bitch a license? Should you?"

Driving isn't nationally trained. You don't have a certain curriculum to follow, instead it's up to each individual adult/trainer/etc to make it up as they go along, then show others. 16 is fine to have a license, as long as it's under supervision. 18 in Aus where you can drive by yourself, with one other passenger. For this vid to apply to Aus, the driver would have to be 19 at least. But a national curriculum taught by schools would better.
