  • edwards21416: What in the world are you saying "white man's music"? There is high culture all over this world. Apparently you haven't been anywhere to hear great composers and musical performances. Our culture isn't being replaced, it is being added to. Finally, thanks to the Vienna Boys Choir for a great tradition.

  • Libera's version is the best.

  • I've loved this carol since I was a small child, and I first heard it sung by the Vienna Boys Choir. It brings joy to my heart every time I hear it.

  • ah white man's music is bea-uitful,our culture is being replaced but not the higher culture, that is still here thank god.

  • look....harry potter.

  • really

  • i absolutely love this choir!

  • Don't forget about the "Land of lakes Boys Choir" One of the best in the world from Minnesota

  • one of my favorite songs. We did this piece when I was in high school and when I sang with a community choir here in my home town

  • my choirs sining this!

  • Здорово!!!

  • prima, freilich, seehrr schön, dange, tschüssle

  • Superb

They sing so beautiful it makes you cry.and touches your heart

    Thank you !

  • This is not a german song! This is an austrian Song! I´m from Swizerland and I know it!

  • The description says "German/Austrian". The song is popular in Germany as well as Austria where it originated.

  • Sehr Gute!

  • the guy scratches his nose at 0:51 and my music teacher showed us this and it drives her crazy lol!

  • wow i have too do a solo for this in my chorus and this is amazing the only twich i saw was that one boy scratching his nose

  • @dancerperformer10 yeah i know i am doing it with you lol can't wait for thursday

  • quite delightful! the boys are very poppets

  • brings me to absolute TEARS everytime. So beautiful.

  • I know this might weird but the thin kid who keeps blinking his eyes from 0:40-0:44 is good looking. What's his name?Has he ever been a soloist in the choir before? Now I think he looks a bit like Christian Bale when he was 12 or 13 in Empire of the Sun.Maybe it's because of their hair and facial structures. Maybe he'll grow up looking like Bale and Colin Farrell if you put them together;).Okay I know I'm sounding a bit strange but I was just sharing my opinion.

  • Quick view of him, unfortunantly all the close ups are more homely ones.

  • Homely? You're nuts. They're all beautiful.

  • The tall one who looks right at the camera at 0:46 is very beautiful

  • First of all:

I know its really the wrong time to listen to christmassongs!

I think the version of this christmassong is not so bad, but like many other boy choirs they have a problem with the intonation.

  • @Testosterontius it's the vienna boys choir! the best boys choir in the world (and most respected!!! ) how do you figure they have a problem with anything?

they sound beautiful! and i love this song.

  • Your right!

I don´t know what was wrong with my ears when i wrote this 6 Month ago!

  • watch the "die toten hosen" version of these song! xD

  • it's way better than the original xD

  • i like how soft and airy the choir sound.

  • just beautiful

what a wonderful christmas carol :)

  • The voices are the best, but the version of this Christmas song is not the best.. it moves too fast after each "Still, still, still." I know that's probably the way it was originally written, but I prefer the longer held third "still" in each refrain! It's more dramatic, satisfying, and much more beautiful! I bet there's another good boy choir version somewhere with the longer note! GREAT voices here, though, obviously!

  • Outstanding. Thanks so much ~

  • FANTASTICO

  • Very Cool

  • my middle school choir is singing this!!!!

  • Celestial

  • Ce sont les meilleurs.!!

  • pas du tout!

  • congratulations if so

  • i wish there was a vienna girls choir man...i adore them. it's amazing how these boys can sing so high. but when they sing they look as if they're about to cry...they need to smile a little.

  • the best choir in the all world... fair.

  • Bravo. Hoch Österreich, und den alpenländischen Weihnachtstraditionen!

  • one of the loveliest german language carols...you can't get much better than the Vienna Boys choir.

  • thanks for adding all this beautiful German/Austrian classicals........ I love it!

  • fantastic

  • Hi, I live in Hungary, but we will perform this song in the school (in german)! This is really beautiful, I think :)

  • thats awsome i live in Michigan and i am performing that song for a winter concert it is beautiful i love it

  • This is incredible, if someone could post more from The VBC that would be awesome!

  • this is really good

  • To correct myself it was one day later: 22.12.2006

  • 21.12.2006 "Christmas in Vienna"...Not all the performed songs were that good...But it helps that all the vienna boys sing together in the "main performances" of the year...(They are splitted into 4 touring groups...)

Still, nearly all prestigious german boys choirs today are better than the Vienna boys choir and that is sad development

  • @Jairdan No, what's sad is that you can't listen to a group of extremely talented and dedicated children singing absolutely beautiful music without trashing the whole experience by actually turning it into a "our choir is better than your choir" competition. How petty could you possibly be?

  • @shadowmatrix0101

The singing of the Vienna Boys Choir is just not as good as it was a few decades ago...I actually enjoy all the old recordings of the 70's and 80's...But today they are just not in the Ivy League anymore. I value good choirs all over the world; England for example has extremely high standards, Oxford, Kings, Winchester, Canterbury. I still enjoy watching The St. Florianer Sängerknaben (Boys Choir) in Austria, so I am not biased or nationalistic...

  • Do ypu know witch year this is?
