I'm from Brazil I loveeeeed this soap when it was broadcasted here back in 2000...

this was a huge success over here... and SBT (the channel which broadcasted this amazing soap) has made a Brazilian version (way woooorse than original) but it wasn't successful

@baha1611 haha tell me about it, i remember it was so popular. The only negative thing was that they prolonged the series like forever and ughhh the advertisement in Yodhlar Kanali was like never ending but neverless it was great for that time, but now I look back at it and see how much of a cliché and cheap television series it was. Every once in awhile, even your favorite TV show has a cliche episode that makes your eyes roll so it doesn't matter that much.

The series reminds me of my childhood. We watched every day in the evening all the family together this series. After the end of this series, the parents named their daughters Esmeralda. Or at school when a girl was pretty, we called her nickname as Esmeralda. That was very nice time in my childhood. When I hear this song I get goosebumps.
