  • At 1:24 you say the one white egg is from a Buff Orpington when they lay light brown eggs which means it is not from a Buff Orpington.

  • chickens are wonderful. And chicken tractors are helpful if you have a large area to raise your flock. That way you will not have to clean the coop as much. You just roll it to a new spot. Thanks for sharing.

  • buff orphingtons lay brown eggs, not white. sorry to correct you, you have a really nice coop and cool girls!

  • It has been in the back of my mind to investigate the possibility of raising chicken here where we live.

    Thanks for some more inspiration.

  • I wish that upon no one. I would like to share that raising chickens in your backyard is very popular here in the Portland area. A friend was looking for a home for her backyard coop, for she had to move. Turns out the new residents really wanted the coop!

  • neat. so the chicks have the run of your yard during the day??

  • As far as I know they stay in the chicken run of the coop. It's about 8' x 4'. He and his wife do really like their chickens, which makes me think there is a good chance they give them another area to roam...but I really don't know, for he didn't mention it to me at the time.
