at the time of this match, Dibiase was the WWWF North American Champion, Mid-South wrestling was aligned with the old National Wrestling Alliance, Bill Watts bought Mid-South from Leroy McGuirk then also bought the North American title along with Dibiase from Vince Mcmahon SR, the new mid-south had theirtop title and champ in Dibiase, Mid-South wrestling in the 80's is as legendary as ECW in the 90's, all you Jim Ross fans... he was originally a Mid South Referee

I don't believe I have ever seen these two wrestle each other before the Wrestlemania or Summerslam stuff of the later eighties. That was the first time I had ever seen Dibiase execute a flying dropkick against any opponent. It sure was strange hearing the crowd cheering for Dibiase and booing for Hogan. Great video!

Is the commentator Vince McMahon Jr.? So this was Hogan's first match at Madison Square Garden uh? A real treasure! Great match and video!
