Reminds me of how naive i was back in 1990, but i seemed to walk around with a smile on my face a lot of the time. Everyone was so f***ing happy all the time...probably caused by the letter "E" MAYBE?
uplfting, happy music from a few short years, 88 to 92, when going out was about having a smile on your face for the whole night. Sharon Musgraves vocals were one of the great talents that made the night chilled , and full of good vibes for everyone!
I woke up this morning with this song on the brain, no idea why, so thought I'd have a look on here! Love that it's taped off the telly. Remember watching religiously with my brother!! (Man, I sound like my Mum!!)
The Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Bass album was Fantastic but their next CD "Science and the Melody" was just unbelievable, In 1992 it was almost all I played, Fascinating Rhythm is probably one of my top ten faves so thanks for the video, it really takes me back
ahhhhhhh this sure brings back savoury memories of my teens. I dont know why they had a guy in the background though pretending to play the drums, considering with this type of music, precussions are always done syntheticly.
Bassomatic was a real TOP-class act at the time. Too bad they didn't go on and on... But I still think in music history they'll outlast many that came after them and had less quality.
William Orbit was behind some great remixes throughout the 1990's starting off with Jimmy Somerville's version of 'You Make Me Feel Mighty Real', this song by Bassomatic reaching no. 9 in the UK charts in October 1990 and ending the decade at the end of 1999 doing a version of Barber's Adagio for Strings which was remixed again by Ferry Corsten.

This song needs covering NOW - but a really current artist. No way should it be so obscure.
