  • Not a huge Stones fan but this song is amazing. Any man who can write a tune like this needs to be remembered forever.

  • this is his audio over a record version... drumming doesn't sync up to song @ 3:20 the snare we hear is not the snare being played by charlie at all... that's unfortunate

  • so true no one is cooler and no one moves like Jagger......thumbs up if you agree

  • None cooler.

  • Thumbs up for Mick Taylor

  • love doing drugs and having sex to this. awww yessss

  • Keith & th Stones rule !

  • CHRIST he's projecting! He's got to be two feet away from the mic at some points!

  • I see why he buried this, 's worth too much for him

  • @Wizards374

i should explain, it took me a while to find a version that wasnt lipsynced. Love Stones, they brought real music to the audience, amazing performers.

  • 43-year old song dedicated to Black Ops

  • So... what happened to the chick? The song's missing her

  • REAL MUSIC

  • Genial, esta canción muy adecuada, para rechazar aquella época bélica anglosajona y blanca. Rolling Stones hicieron de esta canción un himno, su música es genial, las guitarras y armónica.

  • this was when music was good

  • oh please no more expletives you know, like fuck or fucking- it makes one sound crude and uneducated-which I suspect you are certainly not- thx and safe travels

  • what live concert is this from? i need to see more!

  • 5 dislikes! jesus christ......what sad lonely people.

The world must be so confusing for them, bless.

  • fuckin great song ! fuckin great sound !! fuckin great band !!

  • @miramar9999..... The Greatest Rock and Roll Band..

  • Charlie is on auto pilot:-0

  • charlie is stone!!!

  • i'll have what Charlie was on

  • yeah who ever you are you dont move like jagger...........you dont have the grapefuits to move or sing like him. f modern muzack i never need no one else but the stones.xxxxxxxxxxx

  • Best song ever

  • Best Song Ever Created By The Hand Of Man.

  • This is one of the most maddeing videos of all..The Song is stupendous (of course), but we dont see anyone playing their chops...horrid camera, even for a partially lip synched tune!

  • @apachescalp It doesn't look lip synced. Mick's actually singing it's the others who are miming on their instruments.

  • @kaveman1021 You are 100% right sir, mick isn't mimicking and the others are ;). I've listened to the studio version for about 50 times and you are 100% right..

I like the real studio version better.. ;)

  • Charlie is the coolest cat here...

  • Very powerful song. The studio version with Clayton is even more powerful!

  • i want to have jaggers baby...

  • @ampeg2012 This is my dream for looooong time as well :D

  • i hate how some people listen to "move like jagger" and they don't even know who he is. thumbs up if u agree

  • @SuperAfroMac the fact that they don't know who he is is even worse.

  • @SuperAfroMac Ha I don't even know about "move like Jagger" ......I only know

The Stones and I know Mick Jagger, that is enough for me......

I saw them perform live twice, once in 1973 and once in 1982, both were experiences of a lifetime. So who or what "move like Jagger" is might be is beloni to me ;-)

  • @SuperAfroMac Oh my, sh*t, I just looked up, what you were talking about.......

whaaaa that was really awful and a disgrace. "move like jagger" should be banned ;-)

  • @SuperAfroMac shut the fuck off!

  • @SuperAfroMac lol....no one can move like mick jagger..lol

  • @SuperAfroMac epic coment

  • @SuperAfroMac you have no Idea how much it sucked helping out at a middle school dance.MY GOD ITS A LIVING HELL.

    *le me as snackbar cashier

I see a girl with a Rolling Stones T- shirt walk in

ME:at least you know who Mick Jagger is

*Le girl: Yeah, he's an old rapper right?

    and she was dead serious.

  • @SuperAfroMac get a life..drink some jagger juice

  • Puta que pariu. Stones é do caralho. PORRA

  • Stone é bom para Caralho - PORRA

  • Is that a guiro i hear?

  • This is probably one of the best versions i've heard!

  • Who is the woman that sings on the Studio version?? Thanks for the upload!! :D

  • @jseph1234567890 Merry Clayton.

  • @sharonisanelephant thanks :D

  • Moves Like Jagger!

  • Standing in line with Mr. Jimmy Page

  • Sex. Drugs, and the STONES

  • It's a shame that it's mimed. Jagger's vocals are the only thing live in this.

  • @robyale Don't you dare ruin this

  • @RGrimes25 What are you talking about? It's the truth. They are clearly miming. How would I have the power to "ruin" anything?? Weird...

  • @robyale Jagger is definitely singing in the vid. To a soundtrack.

  • @robyale The music was pre-recorded. Jagger's vocal is live. As was the norm with Tv appearances around then.

  • @Gazza63 I realize that. See my original comment, it says "Jagger's vocals are the only thing live in this." It's just a shame because I bet the band, especially with Mick Taylor, would be kicking ass live. There were a lot of tv shows that were mimed, but there were still quite a few where the bands played live too.

  • This is an incredible version.

  • The best song of all times

  • great song

  • they could of made an effort with a couple sexy black chick backup singers...

  • Best flippin' tune in the UNIVERSE!!!!!

  • Say what you will--Taylor plays as clean as Richards......who Cares how Jagger struts.....

  • Merci.

  • Mick Jaggger Sissy Dance XD!

  • @isaacbateman76 He's got the moves like Jagger, moves like Jagger

  • Excellent footage of the best song ever!

  • awsome song but jsut not the same without merry clayton

  • @Tha1DevilDogg not the same song at all, i agree!

  • MICK TAYLOR RULZ!!!

  • Charlie Watts= Ultimate Cool

  • 1. Take some acid

    2. Teleport to 1969

    3. Enjoy your trip :)

  • Stones é bom demais PORRA.

  • @Kaluszko1965 Thanks my grandpa wanna be there so bad

  • its mor rock

  • best song ever

  • Not missing the female backing vocals on this. Always found them a tad grating. Sacrilege? Perhaps. All the same, thanks for posting.

  • I love how in awe Mick Taylor is haha

  • Charlie is so funny, he is sleeping hahahaha

  • Mick is so magical. Oh my god.

  • Nice shirt, Charlie

  • great song, great band, but they're playing to the record...oh, well.

  • @dannon2010 Thats how televised music's worked since the dawn of time. Live vocals (if you're lucky) an a backing band track.

Working in that scene really took the magic out of tv.

  • OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!! perfect! thank you! so good this "live" version! GREAT!

  • At their very best!!

  • now i remember why they were fuckin awesome

waaaait dudes! this is lip synced?

  • @SnakeWearingaVest i guess when you done it all.. yeah and age prolly.. old people wear weird shit man. i'm gettin there and idgf. haha

  • where has music gone in the past 45 years i mean this dam rap, heavy metal, and that other dumbass stuff from today is gay. classic rock is the best

  • mick is singing along with the record. notice no leads on the guitars.

  • God, this is passion....where has it gone in todays music, as weird as she was, I think Amy Winehouse has the closest to this kind of passion about music.

  • The Stones were such bad asses.

  • See this is what I think of when people say The Stones!

  • Excellent vid with wonderful clarity and nicely cropped. One of my all time favorites. The stones were so damn cool at this point of there careers, and not just walking the walk , but also talking the talk. They personified what rock stars are, and in my mind, always will be rock icons for the ages .

  • Keith is awesome and all, but in this video, he looks like he's about to murder someone with his mind.

  • love it, how wasted are they

  • 3:15 Taylor just realized,he joined the greatest band in the history of this planet °☆

  • This is the best song ever written in a time when life was just a shot away in more ways than one.And I was lucky enought to have been there and made it through.

  • Never should have let MICK TAYLOR get away.

One of the greatest & under-rated blues guitarists in the world.

  • One of the best songs of all time. Absolutley stunning.

  • best song when you are drunk and high!!!!!

  • Thanks for this video never seen this before.I wonder how many more are out there. :-)

  • Missing Merry Clayton. Still a good video. Love the way Charlie Watts is so laid back, he lets everybody do their drama and flash on stage. And he just sits there behind the drums with that little smile.

  • I think that i've got the real blues

  • best live stones ive found so far

  • @pjsbulldog67 Mate it aint live it'a backing track, who plays the harp? Good though !

  • @tharleyify ain't it funny how no one ever notices that. what I think is so funny is as it starts Bill Wyman is mimicing the lead and during the song everytime it shows Mick Taylor he's just fake strumming to track instead of making an effort to look like he's playing lead. Most people then and now still don't know the differance or even care.

  • @hvymtlu You said it fella, " Or even care" The clip "Gimme Shelter" is from "Top of the Pops" if you look at the clip for "Honky Tonk Woman" live TOTP, it's the same, they recorded both tunes back 2 back.

I think it's when they were tax exiles & could only come home for a short space of time.

  • @tharleyify No, that was a couple years later.

  • @hvymtlu yeah, it's all mimed apart from mick's vocal's which were sung live and are terrific

  • i think i got a tiny gasm from this.

  • You have got to love how they embrace the straight edge way! Haha flipping best song in ever made! LEGENDS!

  • living legends, no more, no less

  • So intense

  • how the HELL can people dislike this? :/

  • Best Stones song

  • I.LOVE.THIS.SONG.

  • Comment removed

  • the drummer is high as fuck

  • @jack505ful No he isn't. He's just being Charlie.

  • god i wish they they played in woodstock

  • Charlies blazed.

  • I insist, please, show the secret stones. I want to be young again. you´re really living momies. Still using milk of donkey for your skin? The Mathusalem of rock...please tell me the secret, do you wash your body with slugs? ... don´t worry, I like this song, the best song...

  • l'un des meilleurs morceaux des stones

  • on ne voit pas keith, dommage, c'est lui qui soutient le morceau et qui l'a composé !!!!!

  • @TheRivergreen Exactement!

  • E P I C N I S S

  • ooh new song called Rolling In The Deep is the exact copy of Gimme Shelter!! [that's why i was wondering how come an awesome song was released in 2011] ;)

  • @GeorgeRingoGirl haha xD

  • where is lisa fisher!!!!!!??

  • I was hoping for the woman voices.. Too bad

  • @80phie that's lisa fisher and there is a good live video of her with them here somewhere, or in my "stones" playlist on my channel or on my facebook page although you'll have to scroll down a ways to get to it, but well worth the ride! i don't even have the words to describe this chic!!

  • @80phie oh there it is!!! Live '95 amsterdam!!! get lisa fisher!!!!

  • Discovered this song early on as it was the first song on the Let it Bleed 8 track. Wore it out on my Automatic Radio 8 track player in my 66 Mustang.

  • cant do anything else but love Charlie Watts in this video=D

  • this and Monkey Man are my faves. Beggars Banquet and Let it Bleed may be two of the best Rock N Roll LPs every produced. NO offense to the Beatles or Velvets the Stones have Staying Power.

like a NYC cockroach....hard to kill. maybe they lost a few guitarists, Brian was a true genius and his death was most likely pushed on... easy enough to do. anyway Mick Taylor was a damn good replacement and I still don't understand why he split. Peace

  • JUST LISTEN TO MICK TAYLOR , JUST JAM AWAY , , AND JAGGER SO IN TO IT , ** ONE THE BEST SONGS FROM 1969, GIMMIESHELTER !!

  • @NYCPUBS Yes, a real Stones classic...this has to be in any true fan's Top Ten all time Stones numbers.

  • 0:32 perfect sound

  • Jagger makes me happy too!!! He is so sexy!

  • Jagger at the beginning makes me Lol.

  • Mick ain't gay! He's had children by at least 4 different women, so the gay issue is definitely out! Mick has been married twice, both times to women and he's had at least 3-4 girlfriends, all of whom managed to give him a child! So he does not have sex with guys, he's not gay, he's straight!

  • @MsJagger19 it is possible to have sex with men and women. He might have experimented but I do believe he's primarily Heterosexual. He is English. The times were weird. Who knows I care not since he's a great frontman and the Stones Rule!

  • Mick is the sexiest front man ever! I love when he sings, and I actually heard him talk one time, he has a really deep voice that really turns me on! Guess that explains the username, huh? Well, all I know is, I'm a 20 year old college girl student and for being a 67 yr old English singer, Mick Jagger is SEXY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MsJagger19 you sound cool. I delivered Flowers to him on his birthday when I was in college. This was the late 80s so he was still young. His Manhattan Brownstone on the West Side. He signed my ticket and he gave me some cash out of the drawer in the kitchen which was in the back where deliveries were made. Was in a Blue Terry robe speaking loud with that south London accent very thick at the time. I delivered flowers to Keefs apt the same year but Patty Hansen Richards was home so no Keith

  • Charlie looks more bored than all shit

  • @DeathApocalypse666

he looks wasted nt bored look at his face. it scrams high.

  • @DeathApocalypse666 he always does..he's a jazzman of couse

  • best soundtrack for Libya war. Today.

  • best soundtrack for Lybia war

  • Gosh Mick is one of the best frontmen in all time history!

  • @TbredGrits91 Correction - THE best frontman in all time history!

  • @RodRollingStone

.without Mick, no Steven Tyler, No Iggy Pop, No David Lee Roth, No Ozzy although he was a Beatles fan I'm sure the RS influenced him. NO Alice No Axl Rose espcially !

  • @RodRollingStone and probably the first in rock

  • im pretty sure that Charlie is just having himself a good ol time playing drums looking at Mick dancing!!

  • War, Children, was just 30 million shots ago

  • I love how the drummer Charlie is always looking at Mick like, "Oh lord, that child be crazy"

  • only if mary clayton was in this :(

  • @russiandoll...yeah bummer, i think he was too close to the camera or something.

    Awesome! Video though.

  • now i know i'm gonna get some shit for this but don't get me wrong jaggers a talented singer and songwriter, but i absolutely hate his stage persona hes so fake up there on stage

  • Marry me, Mick! I love ya!

  • Hey ShowoftheAwesome, I'm so totally with ya. Anything from the 1960s yo can bet a million dollars you'll find on my MP3. Most people my age are like "Who are those guys? Who's the queer with the scarves on?"

For some reason, in high school it was considered weird to like anything from the 60s, but my response to that was to hell with anyone who thought otherwise. The 60s produced some of the greatest music known to man!

  • @MsJagger19 damn what did you guys listen to ? I love the late 60s stuff . it's some of the best rock around and everyone now copied them or copied someone who copied them..... except maybe the RHCP

anyway go on loving the Stones theyre great I saw them a few times and a lot of people need them to make a living like Aerosmith or any huge stadium filling band. Theyre a machine and keep so many people working !!! MY facebook friend knows Mick well from setting up shows in South AMerica cool.

  • I wish they had that chick on back-up vocals they needed her.

  • @MissSmileyM0 28 for me. I also think these guys are a great band instead of all the pop/rap crap my friends listen to. I'd be like, I like music from the 60's, and they would be like "WHAT?" lol

  • The best song in the world!!!

  • @wizardpants Not really but it's good though.

  • @wizardpants

I agree with you 100% Simply fantastic song!

  • this is the first time the stones sang this song to the world

  • @l7ebels No it wasnt. They'd played it on the US tour that had preceded it and on the Ed Sullivan Show a month earlier. Great vocal by Mick on this one, though.
