@JankoSRB You should have thought about this before starting the topic in the 1257 forum :-P The point is: I had a savegame where almost the entire Mamluke faction was on campaign together, like ten or twelve parties including the sultan and vice-sultan. If you launch a battle the Mamlukes will always let their cavalry charge, and with a high battle size it looks like a cavalry only fight. I even think only cav spawned ;-)

@pietro249 I didn't change anything. Those were just a few different battles that were recorded seperately and cut together to make it look like one battle. In each battle I used a different personal banner, one time it was the red English banner with the three golden lions, another time I used the Knights Templar or Knights Hospitaller banner, depending on which order i wanted to be in the current shot.

I know this is now annoying,but i MUST ask this for help.I already uploaded Part 1 of my cinematic video(you can check it out if you want ;) ),but second part is most important,about the battle.I'm struggling very hard over the past days.Listen...Firstly i recorded all scenes i need,went to Win.Live MM,and made couple scenes.After hard 2h work i get a problem "Not Responding",EVERY TIME! Please help me! ;(

@JankoSRB I don't use the Windows Live Movie maker, I use the ordinary one, so I don't know about the problem. But all I can say is that WMM sometimes has problems with too complicated projects. (Too many effects, cuts, etc.), so what I usually do is that I open the project, delete half of the video, save it as movie file, when finished I press "undo", delete the other part, save again as movie file, and then I import both movie files and keep on working with them. Hope this helps.

Yeh,i thought about that.I have quite a lot of cuts,animations and effects.It makes me really mad when it crashes when i'm most inspired.Btw i'm making a movie out of many scenes,not out of one whole video(if that's what you sad). :/

@JankoSRB I actually meant that (like most videos) your video consists of scenes and shots. If you have too many seperate scenes in your project, WMM can't stand it and crashes. That's why it's better to regularly export and reimport what you have, so all the "modifications" on the videos (cuts, effects, etc.) are gone, and WMM has "power" to save some new modifications again.

@JankoSRB I mean saving the final movie file. The file you upload on youtube. When you are working in WMM, you make some changes and you save them, you changed the PROJECT file. But if you think you're done, and you want to make a movie from it, you export it as movie file. You have to do the last thing regularly with parts you have finished. By exporting them and then reimporting, WMM doesn't have to remember all the cuts, effects and other things you changed in this part.

I chambered a stab with the sword, looked upwards, made my horse go, pressed ctrl+F9 (SloMo) then ctrl+F11 (freeze), then ctrl+e (and then h, of course, to make the hud disappear), adjusted the camera, started fraps, and pressed ctrl+F11 again. The game went on, as I didn't control my character any more he released the stab and this is how it looked like. Sounds more complicated than it was ;-)

@OP7Specter The Hospitallers I used in the video are compagnions with corresponding equipment. But ingame you can have them by joining the Crusader States and recruiting them in the tavern of the crusader cities.

First of all you need both cheat and edit mode activated. When in the game you press ctrl+e to enter edit mode. Take care no part of the map is highlighted by your mouse, then press "h" to make all hud elements disappear (if a part of the map is highlighted when you press h it will stay highlighted!).

@JankoSRB WMM is really bugged, often enough I have to cut longer videos with many scenes into smaller ones, compile those, and then I add those scenes to a new video with the full length. If you have too many cuts with too many video effect, WMM breaks down and starts to get buggy. It was designed for reworking holiday films and similar stuff, rather than making some real scale movies.

@JankoSRB Then simply fly around and observe the battle. If you see something interesting, press ctrl+F11, which will freeze the game, so you can position your camera carefully. Start recording and then press ctrl+F11 again to make the game run again. If you want slow motion, you can press ctrl+F9. I think by pressing x your camera moves more smoothly, and with e or f or q or the like that you can make the camera go up and down. I think this is all you should need, next to windows movie maker;-)

And.hey how can I get a banner? When the campaign started I was already in england faction! But I don't have a banner!

@OP7Specter When creating a new game you are asked who you will serve, and if you choose "no one" you are not bound to any faction. If you choose your father was an impoverished noble, you can select your banner right after starting. Otherwise you have to earn it by becoming a vassal of a faction and thus being promoted to noble. But there is a bug ingame, where you can simply enter the camp menu and modify your banner, granting you one if you didn't own a banner before.

@OP7Specter The camp is not a particular spot on the map, it's where ever you want to set it up. To do so click on the "Camp" button on your bottom screen on the world map.

@bongbong2854 Those items are already in the mod. You can find them easily by using cheat menu. On the world map press ctrl + ^ and type "cheatmenu", then camp.

@OP7Specter What exactly doesn't work? You must have cheat mode enabled so that you can enable the cheatmenu and choose an item from camp menu -> cheat menu -> find an item.

@OP7Specter You have to enable cheats in the cheat menu, after clicking on the Warband Icon, on that splash screen where you also select your mod. You go under "options" and then you will find "enable cheat mode" somewhere, check the little box for this option. Then start the game and press ctrl + ^ (or ~, depends on your keyboard), a command line will open where you will enter "cheatmenu". If you want to deactivate it again, enter "nocheatmenu".

@chabi3000 It is actually the only mod I am playing for WB. I heard Brytenwalda should be really good, it's not stone age but the Dark Age, between the withdrawal of the Romans and the beginning of the middle ages in England. You know, with all these celtic and saxon tribes.

There is also a western mod, I think it's called "The old frontier". And for the time of the 30 years mod there is an entire game, With Fire and Sword, which is not bad actually, I play it from time to time

@SirSpanna (I couldn't reply to your post directly, somehow :-/ ). There is a tool that's called "Warband Battle Sizer", to be found in the taleworlds forum. WIth it you can increase battle size up to 1000 (although that much never works and causes the game to crash ^^)

@JankoMega Hey! No, I didn't experience any crashes, except a few times when faving the game minimized, fraps running and battle sizer at insanely high values, but I don't think this can be counted. My game crashes perhaps once in a week during a battle or so, nothing more. I don't know where your crashes come from, but I would recommend to delete the entire 1257ad folder and redownload it via tortoise.
