  • I love this so much. The solos are so wonderful that they rip apart my soul. Even John's dancing and stage demeanor are exciting here, and the great "bravos" from the Madrid audience are truly well-earned. Magnificent stuff.

  • Looks like Billie taught John all there was to know about dancing while playing the synth... ;o)

Thanks for posting, absolutely blooming marvellous...

  • Does anyone know if there's downloadable audio file of this live masterpiece? I can't stop listening to it and I'm doing this for years... :)

  • @jerrythedraker free you tube downloader search google

  • The Golden Section is a forgotten masterpiece.

  • Ah, those electronic relics. Beauty to the ears. I play the OLD digitals, but it does NO justice. In fact, some of the NEW digitals do a much better job at emulating those old sounds. (It's the EXPRESSION, hence, the SOUL, that is often missing with both old and new digital.) Really love this!

  • Ah - the 80's. Shit to the core.

  • Brilliant synth in this...a must see for Foxx fans!!!!

  • No JOHN...you needed a rock line up like...........|_| |_TraVøX

    Underpass was nice though.

  • johns arp rocks...........cool

  • i hear billy currie there or im dreaming,,,,

  • I wish I could get this version on vinyl LP or even as a mp3!

  • I wanted to write my first comment in 2010 about this video. This is the best live on a tv studio performance I've ever seen. John Foxx seems to project his soul from the synthesizer, making it wail with a grandeur similar to the best classical music. Truly fantastic stuff.

    Muchas gracias, CoZzMiX.

  • @xensboy Thank John not me... But thanks... I'm Very drunk right now LOL

  • Well, thanks for posting the video : )

    Take care. Happy 2010

  • fantastic sound quality, still holds up. thanks for posting.

  • would luved another 6mins of that brilliant

  • why two microphones ?

  • One of the mics is being processed by the Roland VP-330 Vocoder.

  • it's for the chorus : the second microphones adds reverb !!

  • Wow! Brings me back to the golden age!! Never got the recognition he deserved !!!

  • I must say after a quarter of a century. it sounds pretty good. For info, thats David Levy on bass, Peter Oxendale on keyboards, Robin Simon on guitar and yours truly on the Simmons SDS V kit.

  • Great show, baz. I love the stuff from the Golden Section tour.

  • It doesnt get much better! wish some one could find 'Your Dress'! He is still the 'Unknown Genius'

  • Great! I´ve listen at first time Foxx songs, in the 80,s with the astounding "The Garden" , "In Mysterious Ways" (Stars on Fire, Enter the Angel) or "The Golden Section"

  • Jupiter 8...yep..still have mine..wonderful synthesizer..purchased in '86 for $350 from a guy selling to buy dx7! at that time 'digital' was it, non-midi analog considered 'junk' & 'unusable'.. funny how times change..

  • COOL

  • Brilliant...

This live version sounds more dynamic than studio one.

  • Starring: Roland VP330, Roland Jupiter 8, ARP Odyssey, Simmons SDS-V :).
