@TwoUselessLegs must be obsessed with ol Georgie, I've seen people arguing with him on multiple Harrison videos...George would've felt like this was a success lol
Let's get this straight. Are you trying to rip on George's legacy simply because you don't like him or because he genuinely made mistakes? The way you phrased your last comment is riddled with more anti-George sentiment than anti-hypocrisy.
@TwoUselessLegs So you're saying that you can only value life if you don't have vices or do things that could shorten it? With that reasoning, I think we should all get off of YouTube at this very moment, exercise and go on vigorous diets. Posting "hate comments" on YouTube isn't really looking for life, either.
@TwoUselessLegs Wow. What a bitter person. You have an unhealthy obsession with George Harrison. You spend a hell of a lot of time trolling every Harrison video posted. Kinda sick.
@TwoUselessLegs Ask Dhani and Olivia how they feel...obviously you must have known George better than his own family, right? What a judgmental person you are.
@FrlghtWolf He wasn't perfect, and he was the first to admit that he succumbed to life's temptations. He was kind to people. When the owner of the local plant nursery told him that business was slow, he practically bought every plant in the place. His friends treasured him. Paul Simon said that he had "something special as a human being." He and Olivia have worked to feed children, help Romanian orphans, etc, etc...
@TwoUselessLegs I think that the relationship between all of the Beatles was complicated: more like a family than friends. Throughout the Beatle years, George was viewed as the little brother, his song writing attempts brushed aside by Lennon, McCartney and George Martin. He gave the song "Something" to Joe Cocker first, that tells you something about how he felt about his chances of getting respect.
@TwoUselessLegs George made those comments in the 1980s, didn't he? I sure hope I wouldn't be held to certain things I said back then. People change. Life tends to mellow out our bitterness, if we allow it to. George obviously did, as did Paul. Not only did they record together in the '90s, they were friends again. Fine, if you don't like George or his music.I still think it's troll-like to actively seek out George's videos and slam his music, his life, his fans.
@TwoUselessLegs Hmm...that's not how his friends, family or most of his fans see him. He didn't seem arrogant at all. And if you have really read anything of substance about George Harrison, you'd know he didn't put himself on a pedestal at ALL, he saw himself as a GARDENER. He saw himself as flawed as well.. And I think it is YOU who has the problem, you have a unhealthy obsession with hating George. Harrison. So you hate him. We happen to disagree.
@TwoUselessLegs: Where do you get off calling him an ASS? He might have been overzealous when he first discovered his spiritual side (it happens!), and being young as he was he might have been a bit heavy-handed about it. But the fascinating thing about him is that he grew and changed over the years. He found what was important, but constantly struggled with temptations and was open about it. I don't know where you're getting your info..ask his many friends and his family how THEY feel.
@TwoUselessLegs I already watched it. Wasn't that interview from the eighties? We don't know what went on behind the scenes. I'm not going to judge. I don't judge Paul McCartney and John Lennon for stuff they said about each other and George. John was 'Mr. Peace," and he called Paul a c@%t, it's right there on film in "Imagine...John Lennon." You must not be very deep. People are not one-dimensional, if they're interesting and have LIVED. George never named himself "The Quiet One." Media name.
@TwoUselessLegs Lectured others on Wisdom? Where are you getting this? Sure, at the beginning, as a 20-something newly spiritual being, he was a bit overbearing. I have met many people in my life who, full of the spirit, go a little overboard and make you want to smack them, but they mellow out. Your family and friends know you best. I wouldn't judge someone by a video clip from the eighties. Paul, George and Ringo mended fences. You have trouble separating fact and fiction.
George Harrison was a devoted truth seeker who spread the truth that he found through is music and lyrics. He was a very spiritual guy - I wish George was still around so I could meet him and talk with him, because I am a serious? truth seeker too. If you are a truth seeker, search "Truth Contest" in Google, click the 1st result, then open The Present and read what it says. I think George would have loved this.

@TCampman96 - George would have turned it into just
another dumb song. Only he'd steal the melody from some
poor black group.

Wait...isn't this the guy who SMOKED HIMSELF TO DEATH?
Why is he "looking" for his life...when it's obvious he never
gave a damn about it. Apparently, he didn't care too much
about Dhani and Olivia either...since he smothered them in
2nd hand smoke most of their lives.

@TwoUselessLegs - George's problem is one of HYPOCRISY.
He put himself on a pedestal of his own making. Except in his
case his fame is built on the backs of other people's work. Giving
him a kind of FAKE CELEBRITY STATUS. If you think it's fine to
smoke cigarettes while you preach health...then knock yourself
out! With any luck you'll get extract the same throat cancer and
you can praise the "lord" that you will soon BE WITH HIM!

@unloved5600-Smoking is the ultimate act of self-loathing.
George Harrison, the "spiritual" and "quiet" Beatle literally
SMOKED HIMSELF TO DEATH. In truth, George's fame is
dubious. He rode into history on the backs of his two older,
more talented band mates. In reality, George was a pedestrian
guitar player with a weak voice. While he wrote 2 or 3 good
songs, his fans are quick to forget that these got help from Paul.
We can feel sorry for George but we shouldn't LIE
for him.

@smilinmoo - Watch the video "George Harrison Talks
About Paul McCartney" available here on YouTube. Mind
you, he was very probably right about Paul. The problem
is that George stabbed his friend and colleague in the back
in a public forum. Just a few hours before this same video
was shot, George was onstage getting an award and praised
Paul and the others. BTW...a "troll" just wants to get a rise out
of people. I really don't like George or his music.

@smilinmoo - Of course, George was just a human being.
I KNOW THAT even if his fans forget. At the core of George's
problem is that he thought his "spirituality" made him somehow
more special. A vulgar abuse of spirituality if ever I heard one.
It should make you more HUMBLE...not more arrogant. George
falls from a lofty perch of his own making. Few of us would be
tolerated for acting like an ass. That George professed to rise
above such silliness make his behavior grim.

@smilinmoo - I call his behavior ass-like when he
lectured others on matters of WISDOM. This wise-
man who literally smoked himself to death. Watch his
video titled "George Harrison Talks About Paul McCartney".
Where he went wrong was bringing his petty bitterness to a
public forum. Stabbing your friend and colleague in the back
is hardly the act of a "spiritual" and "quiet" being. Why would
I need to consult his friends and family? His video is there for
everyone to see!
