Date cuenta de que Kim Possible, esta sacado de la palabra Impossible, lo unico que hicieron es añadir una K,y... bueno, ya te lo imaginas.

Lo de los nombres depende, va por gustos, a mi me gusta que se mantenga el nombre original (ya sea de la serie o del personaje) pero para gustos los colores, cada uno lo prefiere a su modo.

Lo decimos Kim Possible, lo que pasa es que el nombre de la serie (o de la personaje vamos) es ingles. En españa se ha mantenido el nombre del idioma original, y Possible se dice posibol en ingles, e ahi el por que.

Simplemente eso, se ha mantenido el nombre tal y como esta y su pronunciación.
