A horrendous misrepresentation of history if ever I saw one. I would expect Francesco's views regarding his home city to be biased but his retelling of the events of the 4th Crusade in 1204 was a pack of lies. The venetians are unchanged in my eyes, they will always be lying, treacherous back stabbing pirates.

Fantastic DVD - Francesco is superb.

"Italy Top to Toe" is also excellent, but very annoyingly it isn't on DVD. I have episodes 2, 3 and 4 of Top to Toe videoed from BBC4, but I missed the the first episode - so if anyone can upload that one, that would be great!
