  • From what movie was ; babbit and the bromide? i want it.

And any more tips from movies from fred and gene?.

i have: singing in the rain, easter parade, blue skies

  • @MultiFroggies *and on the town

  • Gene Kelly was so hansome :)

  • Someone asked me who my favorite dancer was, Gene or Fred and I was like do I have to choose? I think they are both amazing and have rather different styles so it's very hard to choose between them, I like them both a lot.

  • This is really good I love all the old stuff :)

  • I knew this before Family Guy so...stop talking about it! We get it...it was Family Guy (which was funny) but still

  • What a wonderful pair of jokesters! Funny, there's exactly the same 13 years between Gene and Fred and between Donald and Gene. Love 'em all!

  • Wonderful to see two VERY different styles of tap here - learned in very different times with very different bodies!

  • So nice to see people still enjoying and coment about this two amazing dancers... pure perfection!

  • yeah, thumbs up if you just watched the movie and don't remember anything about it in Family Guy-)

  • GENE KELLY is better than fred astaire

  • I agree, I think Gene has much better control, his arms aren't just flailing around like Fred's do a lot of the time.

  • thumbs up if you knew about this before family guy

  • @rokrchicky .... this was on family guy?

  • @FuzzyCheezeBalls yea it was just a little scene in one of the newer episodes

  • thumbs up if yoyu watched this because of family guy

  • @TheDarkldrago come on guy... they dont need that to have fans!

  • @4tharrancar

I saw it differently, Gene looked up to Fred as if he was his mentor. Gene had to keep up with Fred I believe because Fred was just a little more experienced :s just my opinion.

  • the great thing about this is the real contrasts that you get to see, gene kelly is a lot more sensible and gets everything spot on, whereas fred astaire has more flair and freedom in his movements which sometimes shapes the routine differently.

    awesome to see, nice upload

  • Since history only gave us one dance with them together in their prime, we're pretty lucky that it's this one.

  • Google it :o

  • If anyone can tell me what a babbit or a bromide is please post here :)

  • @shufflehop There both forms of door to door salesmen, each just what there selling.

  • @shufflehop babbitt - A person who subscribes complacently to materialistic middle-class ideals.

bromide - a dull or boring person

  • @shufflehop babbit is to cover something with white metal

  • @shufflehop and bromide The bromide ion is a bromine atom with electric charge -1, ie, with an extra electron.

The bromides are bromine compounds where the oxidation state acts -1. They are also the salts of hydrobromic acid (HBr).

They can be ionic compounds, such as cesium bromide (CsBr), or may be covalent, such as sulfur dibromide (SBr2).

They are used as sedatives from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

  • @shufflehop Occurrence

The bromides are commonly found in sea water, with chlorides, at an approximate concentration of 65 mg / l, which represents approximately 0.2% of all dissolved salts. Marine foods usually contain high levels of bromine, while food from soil containing varying amounts.

  • @shufflehop

A babbit is an insincere and shallow person commited to middle class values.

A bromide is a phrase or platitude that sugests insincerity or a lack of originality in the speaker employing it
