@edzzzkie I was thinking about that too, but I believe it's because kpop star is a new show. They don't have the establish platform to have a lot of episodes. So they probably trimmed down the content to streamline the show. Other reasons I thought of, is because the initial auditions the contestants get eliminated quickly and there are too many to remember so they trim it down to some contestants you can stan.

wow... judge are so harsh. hahaha! but i agree with their choice for the 1st candidate, she sings really good though...! but yeah, she follows the notes, and there's no personality in her singing. i think the fact she's been trainy for 10years makes that she wants to be perfect, according to the original song vocals (maybe too perferct..)

but the second one was pretty good to me! i though they'd say yush to her... but it seems like it's more difficult to get a yes than what i though!

@chatify68 I kinda agree with what they said about it's not important for you to be able to sing that well. If you look at a lot of the groups from each company, most of them can't really sing that well. If it's a group, most likely only a couple of them can really "sing". Same with other countries, they prefer an overall "entertainer" than someone who may have real talent.

@Luna3688 yes Korea isn't racist like the US, where for example you have to basically be black to be signed to a rap label or white to do Country etc. if you're Asian you basically have .000001% chance to make it as an artist in the US

However for this show Koreans and East Asians are preferred because that's what their fans look for

also ability to speak/learn Korean, respect for the culture, an open mind, and willingness to adapt and work as hard as Korean artists are necessary.
