Don't waste your time downloading it. All Crysis 2 Demo servers are gone, and since the demo is multiplayer only, there is no reason to download it. If you wanna play Crysis 2, just buy it.

when this games comes to balance i with C2 i dont think its to bad, the only gun to good is the Mk 60 LMG, cause it kills to fast at a high rate, but else there are better guns, not crazy OP ones like cod. hell even the N00b tume isnt OP so it isnt so n00b anymore, but the thing that made me go WHY, are to abilitys. its the one that lets you get dog tags for killing, like CoD, and then you can get healt faster, also like CoD. plus the thing that delais granades and such, super annoying

@aizensam4 you have a gun and you go around killing anyone on the opposite team in a nice looking map. There is no teamwork / strategy needed. You can be the only good player on your team and still win.

BTW @TheSwatSonic I just built a pc for like £250 that can play this game nicely (I assume as I can't join a match!) and the original crysis on full settings.
Its also a PC that you can upgrade, since I used an AM3 motherboard and a sempron 145 cpu, a geforce 9800gt 512mb and 4gb ram

@m14g wtf? They just combined suit modes, not that much of a change. And in Crysis they didn't have suit modules! Those things are awesome, adds a whole new level of customisation.

I did think it was strange at first but honestly power mode is nice, adds a new element to the game in that you have a backup 'shield' which can be turned on in a fight i.e. Armour mode rather than there being this constant armour mode where you get shot once and that energy's gone. Now that the energy regain is faster, it seems to me to work very well!
@IRONMAN255550 You never played Crysis @ very high settings @ 1920x1080 or above.....there is no way this game compares graphically.The graphics are dull and lifeless....the textures are really bad.Like I said,before...console noobs will love it,they will love the aim assist also....good luck playing with a controller ;)
@xlr8r2010 They both look great, nuff said. Crysis 2 actually looks a lot nicer overall and is WAY better optimised, so don't hate on either. Crytek did a good job in even releasing a Crysis 2, considering Crysis' minimal sales, so just have some respect and appreciate that they've created a whole new engine along with the possibility now of a long-lasting Crysis series (there's talk of Crysis 5 one day!)

In multiplayer u need more than 45fps to really play well, I rather kill the graphic for performance in multiplayer but in singleplayer everything is about eyecandy, high all the way !

i've got a core 2 duo 2.7 ghz e4700 3 gig's ram and an ati radeon 4870 hd 1gb can it run it on max with 4x anti aliasing without direct 11?(i run crysis 1 and crysis warhead on very high settings with 4x anti aliasings and i had 26 to 39 FPS)
This game is surprisingly easy to run on hardcore. My almost 3 year old rig, i7 920, ati 4850x2, 12GB ddr never drops below 30 fps. But I'm really not liking the sniper feeling. The scope is somewhat unresponsive and it's almost impossible to hit a moving target due to all blurring.
With me when i play on the map pier 17 i get this weird stuttering with my mouse. But on the map skyline there is almost no problem anyone else have this problem?

the Good: looks nice, has a decent feel, has potential, melee isnt a 1 hit kill, maps dont have to be flat.
the Bad: Motion blur , console FoV, mouse acceleration , Bloom. (can be console commanded), console port demo, game balance is sketchy (although a demo).Gfx settings are non existent, toggle this toggle that , DX9
the Ugly: the 2 maps are too cluttered and duller than a old persons home, guns are solidly generic, borrows far too much from CoD in style, perks, killstreaks etc.
Cloak too powerful? No. Maybe now, But not forever... If you've played the original Crysis then you'll be used to seeing noobs in cloak and it's easy as ever. In the original Crysis cloak was, in time, almost completely outlawed in that it just sucked and you'd survive better with armour. Now it makes no noise, so it's much less noticable, but just take a look at how few hits are needed to take down a cloaker! Cloak is more balanced than ever, really! Much better than the first, where it sucked
I play on console and my only problems (besides bugs and glitches) are that hit detection could use a little work, matchmaking needs some small tweaks when playing with friends, and gun balance between the 4 guns in the beta could be better (the SCAR seems too versatile and gets way more attachments)
I would also like to see hitmarkers become more noticable; and my only gripe with the dog tag system is that it kills long distance gameplay; otherwise I really enjoy this beta.
So strength and speed mode are activated automatically? Also, where is your health bar? Aww, half the fun of crysis was selecting your modes and changing them on the fly. If crysis 1 and 2 were cars, 1 would be the manual and 2 would be the automatic.
PS: We dont need more CoD in the world, there is plenty to choose from atm

@tuppoh13 You have to pick up dog tags, i think thats what they are, that drop off the enemies you kill. Once you have 3 a notice tells you what button to press. (I have only played on 360 demo)
I think the having to pick up dog tags to get any points is bs , what if I kill 3 guys running out a door, I go to get my points and I get killed by some sniper , I would be mad as hell. They should give you half the points when you kill and the other half when you walk over the body.

@I3FX well of course they sell out to pc its the only dam system that will run the game the way they like it. They dont have to turn down any visuals for pc and therefore they get the vision they want. On console the game gets butchered on how toned down it has to be just to run.

@topeneid The city parts look a bit bland compared to the lush jungle of the other game but city has never been done in crysis. With that being said, the city looks much more realistic then other games. The demo only has 2 maps so its hard to say, and not all graphic options have been opened. Im sure when the full game comes out it will look much better than the first. Crytek 3 is one beautiful engine
@topeneid I dont know. The demo itself is only a multiplayer demo and it only contains 2 maps. One map is on a rooftop and you can go down about 2 floors, and the other map is a pier. Im thinking in the full game they might make alot of buildings enterable to give you different ways to approach enemy's like they did in the first.

@bleaksolaris I think the player count on PC is the same as it is on consoles (at least for this game). I've noticed that the hit-detection is actually quite good.
@d0n7bl1nk Actually if you watched Crysis 2 multiplayer progression part 1, they show you a suit module that allows you to see enemies that are on stealth mode(cloaked).ohhh also are you getting this game when it comes out?
@d0n7bl1nk hey, there are three armor modes. They taken max armor and strengt in one, speed and jump in one and cloak ^^make it more smooth and easier to combide them.

Gotta admit, these visuals make the Xbox demo look shit. Plus I noted a lot of glitchy and laggy moments on the Xbox, while this plays super-smooth.

In multiplayer u need more than 45fps to really play well, I rather kill the graphic for performance in multiplayer but in singleplayer everything is about eyecandy, high all the way !

@JevriosGames That's a glitch with YouTube right now. If you put the video into fullscreen and then exit out of fullscreen immediately, it should fix itself.

i've got a core 2 duo 2.7 ghz e4700 3 gig's ram and an ati radeon 4870 hd 1gb can it run it on max with 4x anti aliasing without direct 11?(i run crysis 1 and crysis warhead on very high settings with 4x anti aliasings and i had 26 to 39 FPS)

This game is surprisingly easy to run on hardcore. My almost 3 year old rig, i7 920, ati 4850x2, 12GB ddr never drops below 30 fps. But I'm really not liking the sniper feeling. The scope is somewhat unresponsive and it's almost impossible to hit a moving target due to all blurring.

With me when i play on the map pier 17 i get this weird stuttering with my mouse. But on the map skyline there is almost no problem anyone else have this problem?

hi i love this game just few problem i found is nano vision is to over powered cos u can see ppl in cloak mode and then the scar gun is to power it can be problem too.i play this game a lot.and my score have always been 20-7 is very easy to shoot ppl with auto aim(not good for pc).so so i will buy this game just cos of singleplayer

the Good: looks nice, has a decent feel, has potential, melee isnt a 1 hit kill, maps dont have to be flat.
the Bad: Motion blur , console FoV, mouse acceleration , Bloom. (can be console commanded), console port demo, game balance is sketchy (although a demo).Gfx settings are non existent, toggle this toggle that , DX9
the Ugly: the 2 maps are too cluttered and duller than a old persons home, guns are solidly generic, borrows far too much from CoD in style, perks, killstreaks etc.

Cloak too powerful? No. Maybe now, But not forever... If you've played the original Crysis then you'll be used to seeing noobs in cloak and it's easy as ever. In the original Crysis cloak was, in time, almost completely outlawed in that it just sucked and you'd survive better with armour. Now it makes no noise, so it's much less noticable, but just take a look at how few hits are needed to take down a cloaker! Cloak is more balanced than ever, really! Much better than the first, where it sucked

I play on console and my only problems (besides bugs and glitches) are that hit detection could use a little work, matchmaking needs some small tweaks when playing with friends, and gun balance between the 4 guns in the beta could be better (the SCAR seems too versatile and gets way more attachments)
I would also like to see hitmarkers become more noticable; and my only gripe with the dog tag system is that it kills long distance gameplay; otherwise I really enjoy this beta.

Actually crysis 1 graphics are better.
Why you ask?
Well in crysis 1 YOU HAD A HUGE FREE ROME SPACE.
Its a lot harder to cranck amazing graphics + huge space.
Here its more detaild but the maps are small as shit compared to Crysis 1 maps.

So strength and speed mode are activated automatically? Also, where is your health bar? Aww, half the fun of crysis was selecting your modes and changing them on the fly. If crysis 1 and 2 were cars, 1 would be the manual and 2 would be the automatic.
PS: We dont need more CoD in the world, there is plenty to choose from atm

Game looks gorgeous, DLing on my Asus G73, its a beast but crysis is also a beast so def not going to be able to enjoy max graphics, plus its overheating (gonna bring it in to get fixed soon) so i'll have to stop between matches.

@tuppoh13 You have to pick up dog tags, i think thats what they are, that drop off the enemies you kill. Once you have 3 a notice tells you what button to press. (I have only played on 360 demo)

I think the having to pick up dog tags to get any points is bs , what if I kill 3 guys running out a door, I go to get my points and I get killed by some sniper , I would be mad as hell. They should give you half the points when you kill and the other half when you walk over the body.

@I3FX well of course they sell out to pc its the only dam system that will run the game the way they like it. They dont have to turn down any visuals for pc and therefore they get the vision they want. On console the game gets butchered on how toned down it has to be just to run.

@topeneid The city parts look a bit bland compared to the lush jungle of the other game but city has never been done in crysis. With that being said, the city looks much more realistic then other games. The demo only has 2 maps so its hard to say, and not all graphic options have been opened. Im sure when the full game comes out it will look much better than the first. Crytek 3 is one beautiful engine

@topeneid I dont know. The demo itself is only a multiplayer demo and it only contains 2 maps. One map is on a rooftop and you can go down about 2 floors, and the other map is a pier. Im thinking in the full game they might make alot of buildings enterable to give you different ways to approach enemy's like they did in the first.

@bleaksolaris I think the player count on PC is the same as it is on consoles (at least for this game). I've noticed that the hit-detection is actually quite good.

@d0n7bl1nk Actually if you watched Crysis 2 multiplayer progression part 1, they show you a suit module that allows you to see enemies that are on stealth mode(cloaked).ohhh also are you getting this game when it comes out?
