Hey fellow pill popper!! I be feelin like Im the only one! I take GNC's Ultra Nourish Hair, Flaxseed, and Vitamin C, 5 days a week. Calcium and Vitamin D 2-3 times a week. THEN also B5, Zinc, B50 complex and Vitamin E for my acne everyday (and Vitamin A once a week)...
I've been taking Alive for years. Love it! They are great for energy and they help me keep my nails strong. I take the one's with iron, and take 1 less iron tablet a day. I haven't paid attention to their effect on my hair, but I started taking them when I started going natural, so I guess there would be no difference.
Hey! I just subscribed to your channel - its cool! I have fallen in love with KCCC (Kiny curly Curling Custard) for Moisture retention, shine and curl hold an definition. It doesn't have alcohol so it may be better for your hair than spritz. Have you tried that yet???
wow your twist are amazig i love them so much i cant wait ill my twist get that long and thick, and are those vitimine tablets to help your hair grow just for your hair to grow
I was interested in taking MSM, but I was concerned 1.) I heard if has some adverse effects on health and 2.) I don't want other..ehem...unwanted hair to grow faster. Did you have any problems w/ it? Are you still taking it? Just wondering, I've always been curious. Thanks!
Well I did alot of research before I started using it and I really didnt see any negative effects...MSM is good for joint health, skin and hair, I havent taking them in 2 months only because haven't gotten around to buying more, i didnt experience any unwanted hair growth.
Not aimed at rustic but I'm done taking tons of supplements to get good skin/hair. I started getting worried about long term effects of taking synthetic vitamins and also combining so many together. the weird short term side effects weirded me out too. I just do wholefood vitamin (like alive!) and Udo's oil blend. B4 my period, I take evening primrose oil for hormones and that's it.
Eating lots of fruits/veggies, whole foods and juicing makes me feel more at ease and my body naturally loves it
Kroger??? I'm guessing ur from the south...However, my mom uses Alive and she loves it...I was using 1 aday for women, but I realized a stunt of growth in my hair when I took it so I think I am gona go back to the Alive, you might like it
they keep it there because its like a whole line meaning hair and skin. . .and not only that if you notice its like in a some what "organic" hair/skin area cuz dr.bronners is there too. . i know this because i am a corporate slave for the company so yeah lol. . .they even have lil holiday sets that you can get the shampoo and condish. . .or a body wash and a scrub so yeah happy shopping :]
would you drink coconut oil like 3 teaspoons a day i heard its good for teh overall body but i treid nad i almost threw up lol but is it importnat to take vitamins would you say for hair growth, do you eat alot of fruits and veg thanks
Glad your back. FYI if you are talking about the giovani vitapro fusion leave in hair treatment tried it and was a little sticky then dry I had to mix with caster oil and glycerin and will not be purchasing again. Since hair types are different if you still would like to try it. found it at wal-mart. I believe around 7.00. Also wanted to know how school is going. We all understand you have to keep your priorities straight. Stay blessed.
Quick question, I'm having a real hard time keeping my hair moisturized. I've tried oils, essential oils, moisturizers, and even shea butter. Can you provide a tip for keeping natural hair soft and moistured? I have 4b hair.
4b hair doesn't typically like oils as moisturizers (I speak from experience...lol). Try vegetable glycerin and aloe. They work really well in my hair. SO look for glycerin based products or you can buy a bottle for like $5 and add them to conditioners and your regular moisturizers. My hair hated shea butter until I added some glycerin to it. Hope this helps. If you don't mind spending a little try Qhemet Biologics or Oyin. They get pretty great reviews on here.
i was having the same problem with my 4b hair and i made a glycerin/aloe juice/water/essential oil spritz and it really softened and moisturized my hair...but now that the weather has gotten colder and dryer, it doesnt work for me anymore. so now i use qhemet biologics detangling ghee+amla and olive heavy cream and it makes my hair sooo soft and moisturized..and if u wanna try it, qhemet biologics is gonna have a black friday sale soon...check out their website
Octshon, I agree with you. Now that the fall has arrived my hair is beginning to feel like straw. Since I went natural in May, this is going to be my first fall/winter with natural hair. It is already getting very dray as the weather changes. If anyone has any ideas, please post. Thanks.
I moved from Chicago to Southern Cali, so my hair begs for moisture too! I wear a satin cap whenever possible and I don't wear hats or hoods without silk or sating lining or a silk scarf. You may need to try new products. I have a different product regiment than I do when in the midwest, too.
Rustic so happy you are making videos again. We are soo happy to see you. Love from Japan. Love your videos, like your personality, you are awsomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
thats cool i have been using nutrlite multivitamins and they are the best it has all your daily needs off fruits and veggies and protiens, they also have a great hair skin and nail vitaims also that i have been using for about 6 months and it has really strengthen my hair if you want more info on them let me know
I take a cod liver oil supplement and a Women's One a day. Along with lots of veggies and some fruits I've really seen an improvement in my hair growth, skin, and overall appearance. Also, I get some sun for my Vitamin D (I live in Cali so it's easy) and that seems to be enough to keep my levels doctor approved. I recommend eating Kale to everyone; it's so healthy, easy to make, cheap and delicious!
Do you have a kale recipe/recipes to recommend? I have no experience cooking it and would rather not make my family suffer through "experiments" if you know what i mean. :)
suite101 has an awesome roasted kale recipe I love & that's usually how I eat it. Try (healthycooking.suite101(dot)com/article.cfm/roasted_kale). You can also cook it like you would spinach, saute it in a pan with onions & garlic. It also does well the southern greens route, which is admittedly not the healthiest way to prepare it. I hope that helps!
I blend in smoothies using a vitamix blender..yum. or you can saute tear into small pieces and put in pan with little oil or water cover, stir and vola...but blending gives me the raw food version and it taste fine.
I agree with you. I try to eat whole foods, yet I also take a multivitamin and flax sup...because even my organic foods don't have all the nutrients they used to have in days gone by.
Jucing is also an excellent way of getting your veggies and fruits.
I've been taking the same multivitamins for about 2 weeks now, so I'll be able to better gauge their effectiveness in another two weeks. However, I do like that they're filled with vitamins, minerals, fruits, veggies, amino acids, and enzymes...and they absorb into your system quickly. Thanks for letting me know it's available at Kroger; they're quite expensive at health food stores.
Multi-vitamins in general absorb more effectively with food. I'm not sure I would take vitamins with dinner tho bc if you eat late they may keep you up. Some of them provide energy as well.
Not sure why this comment didn't post before, so I'll ask you here. Is there a certain point that you don't want your hair to grow past? For instance, will you only let your hair grow to say your tailbone and consistently trim it so it doesn't pass that length.
(NaturalEden) I don't have a length that I will stop at because I don't have a hard time doing my hair. I will just keep doing like I have always done and see where it leads. :)
okay, I need to up my vitamin game, lol. I take 1 a day for Men. It seems reliable, but I haven't done too much research on that. Your twists look great by the way!
