  • @supervanscott Some people who are addicted to drugs were physically forced to take them until the addiction was too powerful for them to resist. How far the analogy between that and bipolar can reasonably be taken I'm not sure but bipolar is certainly just as involuntary as that.

  • It's embarrassing when you feel like everything rhymes and people look at you strangely after you've revealed what you're feeling. It's one of those things that's so difficult for people to get their head around if they haven't experienced it.

  • BiPolar is an amazing gift, if you learn how to tame the beast and use your spiritual powers to the good. If you look back in history, to the myth of Hercules. The characteristics of Hercules would coincide to those that someone would now be classed as 'bi-polar'. So you are now classed as having some form of problem. In Ancient times, you would have been described as a god trapped inside a human body.

  • @JonB20 Your comment is inspiring poetry, bipolar can inspire poetry but if someone had a choice between a touch of hypomania and extreme bipolar mania and knew what both would be like which do you think they would choose? They're a real warrior of the psyche if they'd glady choose the latter.

  • Everyone Watch "No Kidding Me too" the documentary by Joey Pantaleone on bi-polar..There is some hope in people after all..

  • yeah, the "manufactured in your system" shit hits home. its like; u know how u feel when ure sober around drunk or high ppl, and u dont fit in? bipolar is like being the highest and drunkest of your life all the time. and it never goes away no matter how hard u try (i mean, at the time) - smokin weed an drinkin brings u BACK to reality, thats why most ppl with this shit are alcoholics and addicts. its not life we're escapin from, its whats in our heads.

  • u're all a bunch of fucking robots! u've memorised all the symptoms that some psychologists made up to make a bit of money and u pretend like uve got all those things wrong with u you dumbasses bcos u need a bit of sympathy, wake up and live ur life, and if it's so horrible y dont yall just kill urselfs and ill piss on u grave 4 u

  • wow you are really well spoken, and so easy to listen to. i think you've been eating too many of those sandwiches in your name

  • half of the patients I have met (& I have met a lot cause I went looking) have less memorized than YOU probably do. go ahead & ask one in person about symptoms & see how vague the response is. most of these people haven't done a lot of research & they don't even remember half of what shrinks tell them. people walk into an office like they're getting a check up, grab the meds at Walgreens & go home. you're wrong every time you post in here.

  • best example is bipolar is like having hard drugs manufactured in your system on a regular basis. if a normal person can't handle thier liquor, or they can't work the day after a long night of partying, they just drink less or quit drinking. well imgine if you were forced to drink vodka and brandy every day at random times. it would get old and annoying...that's the best example I can think of right now & it's pretty close usually in my case. so yeah you can try to have a better attitude but g/l

  • very good way of putting it

  • everyone has chemical states manufactured in their system u tard a brain is basically a drug factory, and btw how do u know it's anything to do with chemicals?? OTHER THAN by a persons behaviour? and can anyone tell me exactly WTF a chemical imbalance is? no ones managed to do that yet

  • you know about chemicals like serotonin that affect mood, yet you're insulting patients for trying to understand them. WTF? I repeat; best example is bipolar is like having HARD DRUGS (think meth not beer) manufactured in your system on a regular basis. if a normal person can't handle thier liquor, or they can't work the day after a long night of partying, they just drink less or quit drinking. well imagine if you were forced to drink vodka and brandy every day at random times. gets old.

  • so y does this access of drugs get manufactured for no apparent reason? and how does questions about ur behaviour hav anything to do with this imbalance?

  • 1. money (which is the answer for MOST behaviors by "professionals" that don't make sense in civilized societies)

    2. rephrase the second question, cause I don't know what your talking about.

  • My Prayers to all fellow Bi-polar sufferers.

  • Bipolar doesnt exist first of all! and even i it did u shud get the fuck over urselves and use it 2 ur advantage like many others surposedly hav, although personally i think it's a load of shit

  • Your fuckin pathetic cunt! I hope you get raped by several black guys then hit by a bus! And it is real and cunts like you make things worse for people like me!

  • well then u're an idiot, if i can just come along + make u feel bad that's stupid 4on ur part, while u're at it y dont u tell me ONE full proof way u can tell if someone is bipolar? u shud know right?

  • Be around someone with BP for a day. You'll understand and not question it again. What do you wanna know- symptoms, was someones like when their manic, depressed. What effects the medications have and types the medications and treatments? here's one easy way look into their eye's!

  • excuse me im not questioning im telling u it's a load of shit, im talking at least ONE WAY u can diagnose someone as bipolar? [for definate]

  • AND IM TELLING YOU THAT IT IS!!! And if you were in Australia i feel so stongly and insulted by your remarks i would seek you out and beat you into Unconsciousness. Your a stupid kid with no intelligence or life experiences or skills. Your ego lets you think your of worth. When your nothing but scum Britian. Bipolar is a level of conciousness you will never experience or understand. You are normal- you need food, sleep, water and love to survive. When manic we dont! see how long you can last??!

  • tell em how it is!

  • There's a prime example for you of the "snapping"! seriously i would love you find you and torture you.... And at the end of that torture film you, desperate and filled with dispair, looking into a camera begging for forgiveness, and have your final line be- Im sorry, so sorry. Bipolar disorder is real, please forgive me!

  • Comment removed

  • bullshit, just read the list of imaginary symptoms u're surposed 2 hav

  • @TuRdSandwitch18 wow your so stupid...

  • yes im totally stupid but at least i dont cry about my cursed life like these other tards

  • no doubt the shrinks would diagnose you with something, seeing how obsessed you are with cutting down people who are trying to get rid of some personal problems.

jail ain't fun, neither is suicide, divorce, etc. A FEW people match what you're describing, but I haven't run into a lot of fake bipolar patients. the meds cost too much for one thing. who wants to be milked by drug companies for half your paycheck, have family turn on you, AND slit thier wrist? hair spray & emo records cost less.

  • @TuRdSandwitch18 how dare you say its not real! are you out of your fucking mind. i sincercly hope you burn in hell. you have no idea what we go through

  • i detest being bi polar, i have lost friends because of it - i guess they were not reallty friends tho,i wantedt o try and explain to them but they were not willing to listen

  • how did u loose friends bcos of it?

  • they did not or could not understand or cope with my mood swings and one by one they just stopped calling coming round or returning my calls - if any of u are reading this - you spineless wankers

  • lol mine too but im not mentally ill im just an angry kid

  • Bipolar can help you do amazing things, until you find yourself alone, sleeping in your car.

  • I hate it, and I don't hate it ENTIRELY.

I like who I am, because I'm great with art and very intelligent. I'm intuitive and in touch with emotions of my own and those of others.

However, it's a pain in the ass. I can't stable myself no matter how much medication I'm on. Sometimes my emotions just become too much to deal with. I'm obsessive and have extreme anxiety.

I'd say it's a pretty crappy disorder to have, honestly. A few good benefits, but the strain on me and others is overwhelming.

  • @heavenspaw tell me about ur bipolar disorder? I suffer heavily as well, alotttttt

  • @heavenspaw I can only agree with you. Bipolar has its peak moments but its more chaos, anxiety and misery than anything else. The surreal nature of the highs can be great to reflect on later but they escalate into hellish chaos at the time. Every extreme of bipolar can inspire good poetry and other forms of art etc but it's only when you're reasonably stable that you can reap the benefits. At the lowest points you can barely do anything at all.

  • Need to be with a Bipolar??Count on: Drug,tobacco,alcohol abuse Immorality/cheating/lawsuits No remorse/conscience,no'Sorry' Irrational,unpredictable conduct+rants Recklessness re home,work,friends,driving,cash Crazy destructive moods,habits,sleep patterns Paranoia,unending complaints about everyone They're perfect;always right,never learn Breathtaking hypocrisy Denial: to them,you're the nut! Lying/exaggerating Endless insults+demands Boasting/grandiosity Violence;verbal abuse Pain,grief. RUN!
  • WOW! thought I was being impartial with this post but i remember a few who viewed Bi Polar the same way as you from the X to the next!

  • I view it this way because the evidence proves it IS this way.

Give people an excuse, and a reward, for acting like total cunts - guess what, some lowlifes WILL act like total cunts. End of.

  • that sounds like a sociopath?

  • Idiot.

  • I'm sorry...it sounds like you had a very painful experience with someone who has bipolar. I was diagnosed with bipolar a year or so after my son was born. I've had 3 hospitalizations with phychosis - a very scary experience for me and those close to me. Fortunately, I never got into drugs and I never committed adultery. I have tremendous remorse/conscience when it comes to my 'bizarre' behavior and how it has frightened others. I wish I was always in control. I faithfully take my meds.

  • no consience? wow so basically this is an excuse to b a total asshole, like people who get let off crimes bcos they say sorry i was bipolar btw i can do any of those things u've just mentioned, difference is i take responsibility rather than being a cunt

  • plenty of bipolars are locked up or homeless, so you can get a little satisfaction from that. not everybody has the suicidal thoughts, not all of us have the temper/violence issues. varies from case to case. even if u got that piece of paper, you have to take responsibility, you can't do whatever you wanna do. search prisoners MH right on youtube. and use your brain a little some time before you type.

  • @GurnSi

people who don't suffer from Bipolar disorder also possess these same traits so what point are you trying to make, really...? You basically took a word and labeled it with all of the above which is pretty lowdown and selfish if you ask me. Who are you to label millions of people like that...you ant shit.

  • @GurnSi maybe if they choose to me unmedicated? or if there just a general asshole with no self control. stigma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @GurnSi Wow....that's a pretty stereotyping, over-generalized, stigma-enforcing, offensive, insensitive and ignorant comment.

  • @GurnSi hey can you tell me more about this from your point of view because i just started dating someone and the mood swings are definitely there and constant complaints about people and life but no drug use yet. i just found out About the bipolar disorder im a peaceful person and they live to see create and start drama so im ready to run id love to hear more in your opinion on how you feel about this topic .

  • I like it sometimes and sometimes I don't. I can't have any relationships at all because all of them end because of my issue.

  • I think only us who have experienced bipolar can empathetically understand others afflicted with it.

  • I agree...to me it's like being on hard drugs that you never sober up from. If I try to explain to a 5 year old why drinking or drugs is a problem for drivers or at work, it sounds about as fake to them as when you try to explain how bipolar works to non-patients. They can't imagine not having that mind-over-matter ability to just override the symptoms.

  • well put

  • 4;45! sweet!

  • mania is a painia on the crania.

  • I hate my bipolar.

    I love my bipolar.

  • Neither
