There is no way that a single stellar black hole will ever form a galaxy around itself without first gaining significant amounts of mass. Stellar black holes necessarily lose mass during their formation. All of that matter being blown away in the supernova? That's a good deal of the star right there and it would take a hell of a long time for any of it to fall back in if at all.
@fowzie777 You don't have a leg to stand on with this one. Black holes are very detectable because of the way that they react with stars around them. Dark matter is a theory, not a belief. Scientists don't believe that DNA is an accident. There are explanations for that too. Just because you're a dummy doesn't mean that God exists. Once again, I'm Atheist because evidence hasn't presented itself.
We know why stars loose mass, Einstein explained it long ago. E=MC2
Our star for example, converts hydrogen to helium through the process of fusion. Two hydrogen atoms are squeezed so tightly together that they fuse into a helium atom. The difference in masses between two hydrogen atoms and a helium atom is the mass converted to pure energy. Think Infrared, visible light, UV, X-Ray and Gamma Rays, and in the hotter stars, Alpha Rays.
Unsubstantiated how? It's logic. One cannot quote from a book in a discussion about the validity of said book. One then must seek evidentiary knowledge elsewhere. There is none. You can't handle that fact. My Athiesm, unlike your theology, considers religious beliefs. Those beliefs are then cancelled out because of an evidentiary absence. I have just as much reason to consider Santa Clause as I do God. Both are stories, until evidence is presented otherwise.
@crescendo2020 really? you consider black holes and yet no one has ever seen one...you consider dark matter and yet no one has ever seen it....you would say that a hut in the middle of a jungle was made by intelligence but DNA and other complicated structures you say are accidents? you are a fool. the evidence for intelligence is scattered throughout the universe but you are too blind to see it. your science (knowledge) is worthless...you are an atheist because you cannot accept the alternative
@fowzie777 If science and knowledge is worthless then throw away your cell phone and live in the woods. I hear chewing treebark will help with your sicknesses. Science is based on logic and reason, from what we can test and what logical conclusions can be made from those tests. Science has advanced technology leaps and bounds. God is a belief based on blind 'faith'. Do you not find it ironic that god is your Shepard? The bible encourages blind following. I for do not believe in a god...
@fowzie777 that gives us logic and reason and expect us to blindly believe a fairy tale, and if we choose to use the logic 'he' gives us, we burn forever in hell. That is not a just god. A just god would also not be the cause of more blood shed than any other cause in recorded history either.
VY Canis Majoris is the biggest star known in the universe so far and has radius of 2.000 Suns so it would reach aprox. to the Saturns orbit. When it explodes, it creates supermassive black hole and would be visible on the night sky with the same brightness and size of a full Moon.
@WinTheNorth you could see the light getting sucked in and you could see the blackness where there is no light, but you are right. you cant see the actual thing.
@lukehardistings It seems you have it completely messed up and wrong. Star CANT be billion times the size of the Sun, such a star can't exist for various physical reasons. Canis Majoris has 40x of mass of the Sun and its radius is 2.000x of the radius of the Sun. Look into the books before you state such a nonsense. You can fit in billion of Suns, but thats not the same for radius is not the volume...
@RonicTheHedgehog It seems you are another who has no idea about astrophysics lol...read wikipedia about VY Canis Majoris before you throw around trillions and billions -.-
If two black holes collide they form a bigger black hole;and yrs there is a very big black hole in the center of our galaxy(a super-massive black hole)
i heard there is a black hole born about once a 1000 years in our galaxy, but that should mean that since the earth exists, 4,6 million black holes have born. that would mean there have been so many "VY Canis Majoris'" that there almost should have been a black hole near us or a black hole near a black hole. what would happen if 2 black holes collapse? would they create an explosion or a bigger black hole? or both?
@Tanmark1998 I am by no way an expert in astrophysics, but a collision (I assume this is the case you described), or a merger of two black holes will definitely produce a single black hole with a bigger mass and larger event horizon. I am not sure about the explosion, though, I think that at least an explosion-like event may happen, but maybe someone more versed on astrophysics of black holes will give a definite answer here :)
@Tanmark1998 Yes, that's about right. Since our galaxy way created many black holes were created, especially at it's beginning. And many of them merged with each other and sunk in the middle of our galaxy because of that, and some other reasons we have a supermassive black hole in the center of our galaxy which is more than 5 million time more massive than our sun (black hole made from hypernova has around 1-5 soler masses).
@Tanmark1998 about the other part of the question... When 2 black holes colapse they definitely merge, make a lot of gamma-rays, and maybe even gravity wave (still has to be proven). I'm not sure about the explosion though.. but i think not.
@al3ccc Thank you, thank you I so agree. I believe the two can literally work together. My personal belief is there is a cosmic Mastermind behind the universe as it is so perfectly and wonderfully put together. Can a tornado roll through a junkyard and leave behind the Empire State Building after it leaves? Something to chew on.
however VY Canis Majoris Is A HyperGiant Star Its On Andromeda Galaxy It Takes 80,795,321 Light Years To Get To Andromeda Galaxy, Andromeda Galaxy Is The Most Biggest Galaxy In Space But VY Canis Majoris Is The Biggest Star It Takes A Trillion Of Light Years Before It Dies

@solidvipersnake Well looking at the mass of the star there are stars tha are 5-8 times more massive than Canis so it's only the matter of time (their life span) when they get bigger than it.
The most massive star known today is R136a1and it has around 265 masses of the sun while canis has only around 35.
Why can't people just stop arguing about science and religion? If you're religious, don't get involved with science, and if you're scientific, don't get involved with religion. You are never going to convince each other of anything.
@VareriiMirra cuz religion in front of all demonstration keep thincking that god made the earth in 7 days and the animals in 1 day wtf there is Evolution not 1 day God was invented by a group of assholes!
@aCrucifiedCrusader That is the biggest garbage statement ever. Religion is hated by athiest mindless drones like you. Your kind rule this earth. But what will canis majoris mean to you when YOU die?
@aCrucifiedCrusader What am I gonna find? A bunch of Christian messages with everyone holding hands singing kumbaya? NO...Its will be Death, Destruction, godless liberal fools- handing out condoms to children at 10 years old- Athiest say we evolved from animals- well if we did (which we didn't) mankind certainly acts like it...
@TheShel8777 ... What issue? My WHOLE issue is that youre a troll....
wait... DAMMIT! I'm totally feeding you right now! hahahahaha.
Ill leave you with this. I used to be Christian, couldn't imagine a world without god. Over a few years I gradually became a non-believer, and it has been the most freeing experience. I'm not trying to start a war here. I'm trying to help you. to enlighten you. to FREE you. Think about it. peace
@VareriiMirra what are you talkin about? There are alot of scientists who converted to islam because of the scientific miracles in it and alot of religious people who have apostated....your not making any sense.
@VareriiMirra in my opinion the relgion is not against the since and the since not against the religion. if science people say "but, there was a big bang causes all the life!" i answer, yes and god could have made a big bang to create you and me an all the stars. who can tell the way god made the universe, earth and life? no one. i realy love science. it tell's about my great god. and what if i am wrong? nothing change. so if the science say, there is no god and its wrong? nothing change for me.
[Al-Rahman 55:37 "And when the heaven splitteth asunder and becometh rosy like paint"]
This verse was revealed in the al-Quran about 1400-1500 years ago. At that time, not much about outer space are known to man. Today with technology we can understand this verse better. When the galaxies explode, they will form a rose shaped explosion.
that's really nothing to be proud of people can believe what they see fit u can never take that away from them only their opinion matters to them not yours also there's no need to be talking about religion here seriously.....
at some point you say that neutrinos slams into the outer layers of the star and triggers the supernovae, but i do not quite understand this mechanism since neutrinos almost never interact with matter. Can someone explain this to me?
Nothing offensive but: Stars lower then 1,4 Sun mass will be a red giant/whitedwarf
red dwarf will not be red giant/white dwarf stage. a red dwarf would be a blue dwarf then. I think that hypernova of canis majoris would cause an super-heavy blackhole.
@SiriusShaun largest known star in the milky way our galaxy , We dunno anything about other galaxies and their stars , They might be way more huger than Canis Majoris
i would hate too be any where near that sun , the explosion would be beyond gargantuan , and the amount of destruction would be other worldly but if i had front row seats to see that explosion (of course from a safe distance) it would be the most beatufiul once in a lifetime moment.
Now if the universe has an end I wonder how much ly it is 900000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 lightyears? Probably a lot more like 900000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001000 times more
I just love VY Canis Majoris! I wish i would be able to stand on its surface when it pops! Forget about self preservation - this would be the ride of the lifetime, hehehe!

ITS GALLIEO, HE SHOWED THAT WE ARE NOT IN THE CENTER OF UNIVERSE!
justinpatrick550 1 month ago
@solidvipersnake Well looking at the mass of the star there are stars tha are 5-8 times more massive than Canis so it's only the matter of time (their life span) when they get bigger than it.
The most massive star known today is R136a1and it has around 265 masses of the sun while canis has only around 35.

Why can't people just stop arguing about science and religion? If you're religious, don't get involved with science, and if you're scientific, don't get involved with religion. You are never going to convince each other of anything.
VareriiMirra 4 months ago 43
@VareriiMirra i see no astronaut that is an atheist! people who practice science are mostly religious people
BZLentertainment 4 months ago
@BZLentertainment Yes, there are scientific people that are religious too, which I think is good as people like that get an insight to both theories.

@VareriiMirra Except that science is based on fact, and religion is based on feeling, so there is no argument on what exists and what does not.
AlteredVisionz 2 months ago
@VareriiMirra what are you talkin about? There are alot of scientists who converted to islam because of the scientific miracles in it and alot of religious people who have apostated....your not making any sense.
0PercentFear 2 months ago

Dear tony,
at some point you say that neutrinos slams into the outer layers of the star and triggers the supernovae, but i do not quite understand this mechanism since neutrinos almost never interact with matter. Can someone explain this to me?
Great videos tony, keep em' coming!!

Nothing offensive but: Stars lower then 1,4 Sun mass will be a red giant/whitedwarf
red dwarf will not be red giant/white dwarf stage. a red dwarf would be a blue dwarf then. I think that hypernova of canis majoris would cause an super-heavy blackhole.

i would hate too be any where near that sun , the explosion would be beyond gargantuan , and the amount of destruction would be other worldly but if i had front row seats to see that explosion (of course from a safe distance) it would be the most beatufiul once in a lifetime moment.
