i have just finished my fifth frontsight course. I am a graduate of 2 four day practical rifles 2 four day defensive handgun and the advance tactics handgun course. Did i mention im only 16. Frontsight is a great place to learn the realities of using a weapon capable of deadly force safely. it also allows people to learn the consequences both legaly and moraly of using deadly force. I recommend that every skeptic and gun advocate take atleast one course because it IS training that willl save u.
front sight is in nv, about 45 mins from las vegas. guns can be transported in a plane in your checked bags, you just have to take your bag to the security desk, verify that it is unloaded and locked up.
Front Sight is 40 minutes SW from Vegas. That's in Nevada not Cali. I moved it Vegas from Connecticut and got my guns here by UPS next day air. You don't need to put them on a plane. Plan a family vacation in Vegas and take a weekend to go to Front Sight. Everyone wins!!!
you can check (CHECK) firearms on virtually all airlines. its much like locked-transport laws in some states: in a case, locked, unloaded, maybe action open, and ammo in a separate locked case. i think both of those locked containers can be in the same bag (duffel bag, luggage).
also something to think about once the TSA knows there's a gun being loaded onboard they make sure it's get's to it's destination. unlike some luggage that doesn't always make it guns usually do. now shipping company's like say UPS as an ex. have been known to mysteriously misplace or lose firearms. a custom Glock comes to mind. so in most cases a firearm will be right where it's supposed to be when you land.
I have transported firearms on planes. Simply declare your cased, unloaded firearm at check in. It's no big deal. Check the laws and procedure. My son just flew from Oregon to Alaska and brought a semi auto and bolt action rifle with him. No big deal. I transported a .44 magnum from Arizona to Oregon this year. You don't have access to the gun on the plane. It's locked away unloaded in cargo.
If you own a gun everyone in the home should know how to safely and effectively use it. Otherwise it is a BIG liability and a tradgedy waiting to happen. And THAT is the TRUTH.

Sorry if this has been said before but there is something strikingly alluring about a beautiful, intelligent woman who is capable of killing you.

Does anyone else think it's interesting that most girls that are into guns also tend to be on the attractive side?
I have no idea what to make of it, but its very true in my experience.

I really share your opinion on this, but I think the most important think one needs to know is WHEN he needs to use a weapon.
(That's why we still should take recurrance on the police to get hold of criminals)

I know its "time" to use my weapon when someone steps foot in my house with criminal intent. Shoot first, ask questions later.
