  • This video provides a great tip to help with confidence and concentration. Here's an addition to this tip to make it even more powerful: - While focusing on the ball, have an EXACT point on the court IN MIND before making contact. It helps with accuracy too

    1. Keep your eye on the ball as your opponent hits it,

    2. Pick a specific spot on the court to place the ball (without taking your eye off the ball)

    3. Follow this video's tip, watch the ball until you make contact and finish your stroke.

  • im 5ft 10 is it good for Tennis?

  • @TheLeilisa David Ferrer is 5' 9" so you decide.

  • @doublea422 thanks since moonthhs has been since i dropped that comment now im 6ft thanks to w...helpogrowth.comm

  • He doesn't follow through when he hits forehand ! LMFAO

  • very very nice tips. I somehow noticed my consistency improves when keeping my eyes through contact but not sure. This video confirms that. I like all his tips and video. Very very nice

  • I've played tennis since I was 2 years old and the way I play is you pick your spot before you hit the ball, focus down on the ball and dont lift your head! dont lift your head! until you've swung right threw the ball. Its just like playing golf in that respect.

  • when I keep my eyes down I find it somewhat difficult to accurately place where I want the ball to go. Is that something that just comes with practice?

  • This is a very important tip, maybe the most important for a good shotmaking. I believe keeping your eyes on the ball till you've completed the shot is as important as using well your legs in order to give power and pace to the ball. Thanks for posting this video.

  • just step on the court and tell yourself not to have mercy and oblige to it

  • 5 stars

  • I am a varsity player who competes in junior tournaments but I have no confidence and I shake and get real nervous during my match and it really sucks so that's why I am a full on defensive player which means my objective is to always return to ball and when the time is right a strong shot wouldn't hurt

  • ya my friend has that problem, his first set is always bad

  • yeah its a psychological thing

  • I used to have this problem big times...lost to players who were much worse than me. But now I have grown out of it...my solution:

    1. only concentrate on the point you are playing and forget the consequences of lossing 2. Dont forget the simple techniques...during matches i keep saying to myslef..."move your feet...eyes on the ball".it helps.

    3. make a game plan, which doesnt have to be very elaborate.

    4. pretend to be someone else...it might help you...i image being agassi :)

  • Thats great that you got out of ot :D

and thank you so much this will help me a lot :D

  • great tips :)) i allways say to my self to move and look at the ball ....but at meny, meny times i "peek" on the place i would like to place it....but this No. 4 is fantastic....i could never remember that...i tried to imagine that my idol Maria Sharapova is beside the court and watches the game considering to take to train with her...but i just get more pressure on my self with it...some times it helps...but rarely......I must try your tip No.4 i reraly like it... :)

  • so true!

  • hmmm i personaly think that people "choke" most of time in games because they have something else on their minds. Mental breakdown can realy screw your game up.

  • where is this?

  • i like your videos, well detailed... have you done one about returning serves?

  • thanks for the tip, I sent you an e-mail asking about consistency a little while ago.
