I could not hit the "heel" beat in your position suggested just because the pedal's space is not large enough. My toe would hit the "pedal chain" or the pillar when I tried to hit the upper region of the pedal with my heel. If I hit in low region, it does not give enough pressure to make it sound. Any suggestion?

Now , I could only do the heel in a "bended" position (rotate outwards), not quite comfortable. I'm not sure it's the correct way.
