canary island palms have thicker trunks... and they are more mediterranean, their fronds are thicker and they are a darker green, more massive in size. These coconuts are total tropicals... they only grow in areas where temps are higher than 40 degrees year round.

It's a Coconut Palm. Not sure what a canary island palm is!
