World's Strictest Parents Alabama Part 1

I've just discovered this video 12/01/05 ...at first I was thinking to stop watching because I'd had enough of the language and behaviors of the children to last a lifetime

now I'm feeling quite impressed by the Alabama parent's gentle rational parenting. I'm even impressed by the two children ...they have evidenced some integrity ...some sense of responsibility ...I'm curious to see how this exchange works out

Is there anyway of contacting the families from these shows? I would love a chance to write a letter to this family, to let them know how much they have changed my life, and the lives of my children!. I grew up in a volatile environment and was physically and emotionally abused. This family has examplified how every family should function, and how every child should be raised in my opinion!

Interesting to see how many of the kids featured on this show are the troubled children of divorced parents. Taking care of their behaviors is simply dealing with the symptoms of their problems, not the problems themselves.

I'm 15 and i wish my parents were strict, i know that sounds weird coming from a teenager, but i think kids with strict parents are soooo lucky that their parents actually care about their kids and their future. I have dropped out of school because i had no authority in my life, and let me say, to all the kids who 'think' there life is so bad with strict parents. Well dropping out of school will just put more stress on yourself. So be happy to have parents who actually care for you.

Its the parents fault for raising disrespectful children like that. Kids get away with too much stuff these days. Disrespect was not tolerated in my home growing up and I feared ever doing it. These kids have no fear because their parents have not instilled in them rules and level of authority. The kids think they are on the same level as the parents therefore they talk to them however they want without feeling bad about it. I talked back to my grandfather and I felt so guilty about it.

LOL My mum is so not strict but if i didn't come in when my mum says she would lock all doors and not let me in, if i didn't do any cleaninig she wouldn't give me money or any privilliages. I am a normal kind kid. You don't have to be strict as hell but not let them run wild.
