The movie was likely influenced more by Double Dragon II than the original game. It's got the post-apocalyptic scenario, dead ladyfriend, and the way it just ends up being silly instead of dark. (The final boss is a magician and a friggin' ANGEL brings Marian back to life, and they don't even show it!)

Na verdade, esse filme foi mais baseado nas versões de Double Dragon pra Arcade/Neo Geo, onde o jogo era de luta mesmo, lançados pela SNK.

O filme tem alguns personagens dos arcades (shuko é o chefão final no jogo), mas eles tão super mal caracterizados.

Lixo total esse filme, passou centenas de vezes na Sessão da Tarde

Well, not EVERY video game movie sucks, it's just there are so many that DO suck that it's a bit difficult to find the ones that don't. Yeah, the Street Fighter live action movie was idiotic (except for Raul Julia and "QUICK! CHANGE THE CHANNEL!". That was charmingly stupid), but the animated Street Fighter II movie ROCKED. I mean, semi-nude Chun-Li kicking Vega's ass down a five store fall? Ryu and Ken double Shoryuken-ing Bison!? That's simply awesome.
