@tvfanatic4ever No, the book followed the same romantic plotline. Jo still ended up with that Old professor guy and Laurie with Amy. THough the rationale for such a thing is because both Jo and Laurie are such fierce independent spirits that would immediately clash with each other if ever they were to be married. As Jo said they'd kill each other if they were to be together for life. Though I do wish they ended up together in canon too :(
