@keryssaApril Nope. i just cant find that speech which would convince me in believe that they are capable of doing a better job. Just compare the rally held,opposition party holds more rally than PAP,and it made it sound as if PAP is not doing anything and knowing that they will lose in this election. I am not saying PAP is doing a good job. For what they have done,i find reason and cause behind it.Don't want actions rather than words?Actions normally speaks louder than words.

What you fork out is what you get. Tell me,how many times did Singapore had a power failure?more than 5 times?i live till now and only 2 or 3 times! Neighboring countries also paid their utilities and do they get only 2 or 3 times power failure?We Singaporean have a mindset that singapore is a first world country,therefore we expect better living. Just compare singapore against other countries, neighboring countries for instance, amount of corruption in SG compared to other countries?

GST from 7% drop to 5%=value of Singapore dollar drops. I am not certain about the economic sector but if you understand the value of Singapore dollar, you will get what i mean. And you want to know where all the money goes to?look around you.Street lamps for example, compare to our neighboring countries.You think they are as bright as ours to ensure safety?If u drives, u dare to drive with only your headlights and how far and your headlights shine? Maintaining the roads for safe driving.

Elderly and disabled subsidy in transportation. If everything is being subsidies, will you still provide money to your elderly or disabled or provide lesser? Will you still take care of the elderly or disabled when you can afford to put them in hospital or old folk home(as you can afford due to high wages) so as to lower your burden? Some will but i think most wont. No offence.

Public housing.Cheaper house=easier to buy.Think again,Singapore is just a small dot on the map.Lets say,or now i am a family of three and i am able to afford a 3-room flat.You should know how big a 3-room flat is.increase in wages+cheaper housing=I can afford a 5-room flat easily.Amount of space taken for a 5-room flat?would you want to stay in a 3-room or a 5-room when you can easily afford a 5-room?3 people living in a 5-room flat?Spaces needed to built 5-room flat?Here is SG not USA.

Increase in wages = increase in everything u buy. Lets see it as a picture. your wages increase, will anything or daily product raise?Yes,why?Tell me who wants to make loss instead of profit?You have high wages, you therefore can buy almost everything if they are sold cheaply.Me as a boss of a shop would also want to raise the price of my product so as to pay off my workers who needs to be highly paid then what do i earn at the end of the day if i dont increase my prices?The cycle then continue.

No offense, if any of you were to be a minister, whats your expected pay? 5K? Human are greedy. Yes at first they will agree to 5k, slowly they will require more. why? they will compare themselves to our neighboring countries. There's always a reason why they are highly paid. Know more about the jobs given to the minister and you will somehow know the reason behind it.

Talking about making Singaporean as priority when comes to employment? taking for example, Company A offers a job to a Singaporean and a foreign worker, pay - $1200. You think the Singaporean will take up the job given his/her qualification?No for sure. Lets say you are a boss of a company, will you hire a foreign worker who requested a lower pay then what a Singaporean expected pay? You as the boss would rather hire a worker who requires a low pay yet doing the same amount of work.Make sense?
