  • Bettyput a damp towel under your cutting board and it wont slide also you can buy a Channel Knife that does the same thing an easier

  • @xrt677 Thanks for your great tips! I appreciate them!

  • hi. you have a nice video! but i would like to suggest you to put a rubber mat, or a piece of cloth under your chopping board to keep not moving. tnx

  • @Sharon32518 Thanks for the tip!

  • its better to use mandolin d:P

  • But dosent the interior of the cucumber get moshy`? If you freeze the water and ice crystals form`?

  • @Abrin19 No, the cucumber does not get mushy. It is cold--not frozen. The fork "bruises" small places around the edge, so that lessens the life of the sliced cucumber, but this is for using within a day or two of making it.

  • next time, put a towel under the cutting board so that it won't slip or move while you cut ( or run the fork on the cucumber) :) thx for the vid, nice tip :)

  • Might want to rinse it before cutting to rinse off the debris and next time try bruising it with the cucumber horizontal and resting on a damp cloth, easier angles to deal and reduced slip with the damp cloth on top of the board. Oh yes, for the dim witted: remove the cloth before cutting and use a sharp knife or mandolin.

  • i take the same idea of using the fork but instead of round slices i make diagonal cuts into the cucumber to make them look like flower leaves and decorate around a rose tomatoe.....10/10 on your garnish

  • you are very creative and good at cooking and also you are very cute.

good luck with further videos, you are doing so good at what you doing , keep gettin more expereince and make awesome vids.

  • oh we did this before for our vegetable mix and we just ate it. We nvr thought of it as a garnish. Thx for the idea

  • You are very welcome!

    --Betty :)

  • I've never seen that trick before. I will have to use it.

    Thanks

  • It's really an easy thing to do. Somehow, I was making it look hard; I think I was digging in too hard. But, you won't have any trouble with it! Thanks for your comment!
