Well I finally got to see the show. I'd have to agree that Anna was really creepy. Witch is why I'd probably wouldn't do what she sais. Though I'd probably tell her yes to her face.
I was genuinely surprised that the black guy was a V. It seems to be a staple in shows like this that you just don't reveal stuff like that. But I guess it's more realistic that if you wont to be trusted, better you tell them then let them find out on there own.
The Whole thing with the Visitors being refered to as the V's is really irritating and when everyone starts calling them the V's its just gonna put me off the show
I didn't plan on watching this until I watched some original episodes on syfy. Thought that was interesting so I watched this pilot. Overall I thought it was okay. I agree about the reveals as far as who was a V. I called both of those pretty early in the episode. But yeah, overall it wasn't bad and I'll be catching the 2nd episode to see where they take it.
I tell you what I don't like. I can't find all of the pilot online! ugh. I watched 4/5 parts on here and nothing is available on ABC or Hulu yet. Anyone help with this so I can watch the rest on DVR?
I did not like the new V series. It lacked so much of what made the original great. I felt no connection to any of the characters. I thought the visitors themselves were terrible. I like the old school uniforms and the whole military/stormtrooper feel to their presence. I also miss the Holocaust/WW2 connection that the original had. The old Jew in the mini series was totally awesome, but there was no one like this in the new version. I will watch a few more episodes though. 2/5

I don't buy for one second that Erica Evans was an FBI agent. I don't think they should get sci fi actors to be in shows to entice other sci fi fans (firefly and sg1 also). Yes I count lost as sci fi, time travel! And how the hell in the first 18mins are everyday members of the public riding flipping space ships like their Disney rides, using tickets. I hated the phrase V girl ect. V is for victory or I guess it was. Hope others enjoyed this, I just didn't. Jay

The original series is definitely worth buying, it's been available for awhile now on dvd. I have the first two minis in separate sets, and the entire series in a third. If you like cheese, I'd get the third too, otherwise just stick with V and The Final Battle. :)
I'm definitely going to see how it goes -- I wish the pilot had been more slow-paced, but that's the result of the current miniscule attention span. It's funny seeing Willie (Robert Englund before the claws) reinvisioned as a tough black guy! :P

i agree with everything you said except for the slo mo shots, i like them, yes micheal bay"ish" but it gave at least to me a more epic feel kind like independance day. besides, dave chappelle said that everything looks better in slo motion!

It's worth it and I think that even if ABC bails on it SCI-Fi will pick it up. REgardless I am just happy 2 see it back on T.V. If you are a child of the 80's you know this was one of the best mini-series of our time.
The original "V" miniseries was one of the major TV events of the early 80s (and it's all up on youtube if you're curious as to where the idea for this re-imagining comes from - do a youtube search for v original miniseries)!

Well I just watched it now and I really liked it.
