Oops, I meant Wurlitzer 'Orgatron'. So the artist John Winters was a 40+ year professional organist for radio and television, most notably for his playing on Young Widder Brown and As The World Turns, I've come to find out.
I have several organs do like the Orgatron's tone. Since the theater organs have been sampled and made virtual for playing on midi and converted electronic organs I think it's time to explore and sample others- The Orgatron, the 1980 Hammond Elegante, Conn electronics, etc.
Absolutely love the tone of a Wurlitzer Orgasonic organ from the late 30's through the 40's. The album 'Organ Moods- John Winters at the Mighty Wurlitzer ' Mount Vernon Music Records MVM161.
Nobody has been able to clarify which Wurlitzer John is playing on this record. Don't go by the record sleeve- it's erroneous.
Will Artisan ever Sample the Orgasonic? Can it be, really?
If you look at these patents you can see the amazing design:
Does anyone who has your systems installed prefer to keep their original organs otherwise intact besides adding your system? Can you blend both organs? I have a perfectly good Thomas theater organ and a Wurlitzer 625T. I love the sounds of these organs. The affection that a musician has for different tones can be the result of years of realistic hands on experience. If I were a violinist, I might very well be just as happy playing a fiddle violin as a Stradivarius.
Now THAT is an awesome sound....very authentic. Reminds me of several theatre pipe organs I've played in the past. Your playing is exemplary, and the instrument is so responsive. What a joy to chance upon this clip today! Thank you for posting.
Ican't beleive this! I used to work for Baldwin in the UK The Cinema 111 was never as good as the cinema 11,but what you have done here is superb.Congrats
@orpedal , I have a Baldwin Marquee, I would love to be able to convert it to MIDI, but I haven't found any Company who could do this. Is it even possible???
Thanks for asking. This particular organ was designed to only replicate the sound of real pipes so it does not do orchestral sounds. That can be done by Artisan if the customer really wants it. Any sound can be digitized and used in the Artisan system.
Thanks for the nice comments. Yes, Buddy Cole was my inspiration when I first started playing many, many years ago. I thought his style was really tops and I loved his harmony.
The cost to do this to a Gulbransen Premiere would be less than $3K
What marvelous playing--and a good sounding instrument too. Your arranging certainly assures me that you admire the work of the great organist whose initials are: "B.C.".
What would be the cost of doing something similar as this for a Gulbransen Premiere?
The first one on youtube, that touches my haert deeply! really, I mean it.... You are playing with heart and soul! Very special.. My compliments, really!
I loved the original sound of the '60s Baldwin theatre models. But this is nice, nice, nice. Beautiful tibias. Smooth playing. I have a Conn 650, with a beautiful case, 39-year old electronics that need much work. It needs a good digital makeover like this! Does it cost the price of a small auto to do this?

We'd have to find one still in working order and then enough people who wanted the samples to make it worth while doing.

@paulj0557 Yes, many people who use our system do keep their original voices as well. It's very easy to do with the Artisan kits.

Not related at all

Not only does it sound good, but you added a double bolster and a moveable combination action. Noice.

Thank you Lorrydienno. It has always been that for me.

Thanks for playing that song. It has become somewhat a prayer for me.
