  • Herobrandon it's no not know know is I know something no is like no it's not!

  • NO IT'S NOT F-ING TOXIC!!! Why does everyone ask it's not like there going to kill themselves wearing it!!! It changes by temperature change!

  • Is that paint toxic?

  • Know I don't read through comments very much if I have a quistion I just ask the poster sometimes though a comment will catch my attention but that's probiblly 3 or 4 comments down .

  • How the hell did you do that thats fucking awsome

  • @Herobrandon

Did you read bbguy425's comment? It's Thermochromatic paint. It disappears and reappears when you breathe. It's heat activated. i.e. the heat of your breath.

  • With the fear of sounding like a complete dumbass, can you see with that on or are you essentially blind?

  • Hey yo does any one no any way i can make one of these or buy one cz i want one for this halloween this shit is sick

  • Just saw these on Ebay. Awesome!

  • @funkyjonathan CG,,,,,,,,,,,

  • That's really awesome.

Now you can go hunt down all the rapists and child murderers in New York.

  • @crazyharry156

    lmao!

  • jerk, the movie is cg, of course.....

  • @colaboss not CG dumbass

  • thats awesome! very creative

  • its CG. it moves much faster than this in the movie and in more areas. its really cool either way. ;) i love rorschach.

  • the only problem is that it only works where you breathe...

  • well theoretically it could also work for emotions, as it would heat up ur face but well he isnt exactly gonna have any specific ones for this vid

  • and how often do you not breathe?

  • Should hook some air lines and a small air pump to do the color changing for you.

  • I agree

  • Give me that costume....

  • come fa

  • è tipo una maschera termica, hai presente quei pupazzetti ke escono dalle merendine e se li raffreddi diventan di un colore mentre se li riscaldi di un altro...credo sia la stessa cosa !

  • thermocromic paint is amazing :D

  • its all in the moustache

  • I have a mask too. How do you get the black to come back after it goes away? Because the heat never leaves my black goes away and barely comes back. Any advice?

  • Oh man, I want one so badly!

  • Dude, you could be God at cons.

  • I gonna be Rorschach 4 Halloween i want to know how u made that mask if u made a tutorial on how to make it that would be nice

  • well done fully awesome!

  • your amazing HOW THE HELL DID YOU DO THIS please tell me im going to be rorshach for halloween.. and i might attack some people lol

  • He uses something called thermochromic paint. Dont know where to get it but its supposeble like 40$

  • Dude I have sooo many questions for you:

    1. What material did you use for the mask?

    2. What material did you use for the scarf?

    3. Where did you buy the thermochromic paint?

    4. Where did you get the hat?

    5. Is this mask fairly simple/easy to make?

    6. Are you a god?

I am bowing before my computer. Excellent!

  • nice u look just like him

  • thermochromic paint isnt expensive i brought some for £10 from a big retailer

  • boring

  • no cg?? rlly? so why they aren't selling those? :P

  • because

    1. Thermochromic paint is ridiculously expensive.

    2. Therefore, only custom masks with the paint have been made.

    3. Sellers of the custom masks are charging generally around $70-$100 dollars for them.

  • wow,understood

    thx man ;)

  • he does it with his breath watchmen did it gc

  • where'd you get the jacket and the fedora?

  • he uses his breath

  • was that the watchmen prop?

  • Watchmen did CG.

  • its working when he breaths when u breath out the mask moves white when u breath in the mask movies black.

  • Reverse that. Black when he breathes out. White when in.

  • Yeah, i noticed that too.

  • Yeah, but the materials get expensive when you factor in the whole trial and error thing. Trust me, it took a few weeks to get mine right...

  • Yeah, but the materials get expensive with the whole trial and error thing....

  • lol cool! and thanx!

  • HOLYSHIT DUDE! Where can i ge tme that tiem of mask!!

  • vary good it looks great

  • how do u make this?!

  • lol temp changing paints a waste of money

  • do they fade after a while or something ??

  • no but they only can change to a few different shapes and you need to do some heavy breathing to get it going

  • then what do you suggest

  • wow kool

  • Spooky!

  • poopy

  • Very Good Job! Im planning on making a Rorshach mask for halloween and you did the best job on making the mask ive seen! I know the web site to get the paint (paint with pearl) but if theres any other tips please tell

  • Whats the name of the thermochromic ink website?

  • thats gonna be one big cliche halloween if everyone will make rorchach masks and joker paint jobs.

  • i think maybe yes and maybe no, cuz to be the joker anyone can just run to the 99 cents store and buy some cheap makeup and still look like the joker, but a rorcshach mask requires way more effort and i bought the general public would go through the trouble, that just leaves us nerds to be rorschach :D

  • No its not, its called thermochromic ink look it up.

  • Your fucking retarded.

  • Nice grammar, hypocrite.

  • WTF are you talking about? Fucking faggot.

  • You're attempting Munchhausen by proxy on somebody, claiming that they're retarded, yet ironically, your grammar is terrible. Proof: Your fucking retarded.

  • Butt the fuck out of this faggot, and i don't give a fuck about my grammar. And don't reply back.

  • OH LAWDY, SOMEBODY CAN TALK TOUGH.

You're a complete fucking homosexual. 100%. And you're afraid of me because I'm an intellectual and you're not.

You're retarded. Just deal with it. No amount of internet cursing and insulting will ever change your IQ score.

  • Now why would I be afraid of you? You're a fucking dumb ass just stop sending me comments.

  • Dang it! Will you please tell me how to do this, I'm really interested.

  • I see what u have done. Heat activated paints, great idea.

I dont like the fact that only the area around the mouth and nose appears and disappears rather than the whole thing moving.

But. You MUST be commended for what u have done, it isnt perfect, but it is by far the closest any1 has come, in itself it is a marvelous prototype and come on all great inventions take a long time 2 perfect. I hope u find a way 2 get it like the movie, as u will make millions. Hey, if u do, slip 1 my way ; )

  • A serious flaw with this design is that a person would not be able to maintain a continuously shifting pattern without passing out, unless they exercised their lungs a lot (this is based off the assumption that you are inhaling and exhaling to make the mask's colors move). With that aside, I actually do like the design since it seems to work and it doesn't look like some spawn from a Chinese sweatshop.

  • i love your jacket.. where did u get it. i want one like that

  • the quality of your camera is fine, but maybe put a LIGHT on yourself?!

and take the hat off, so we can actually see the mask?!

  • That would be why I made a second video...with better lighting...and no hat. Says so right in the video description :)

  • where can i get the paint?

  • i have a better idea

make a blank mask, make another one

take a tightly sealed ziplock bag and put olive oil and vinegar in it

put the pack between the two masks

make sure it is tightly sealed u dont want to get it in your eyes

make sure there is no air in the bag

to get a tighter seal and keep it in place better get another mask

to get the vinegar and olive oil to move move your mouth and nose

  • thats not a bad idea at all man, great job

  • first off, you're being an ass for no apparent reason, and let's see you do any better.

Second, nothing will be as good as the film because it was all CGI. Give the guy a break. Made something kind of cool, and he posted a video, don't wig out.

  • Fuck yeah!

  • 1000 bucks. no joke. tell me how.

  • its thermochromatic paint, it disappears and reappears with the heat of your breath

    pay up

  • i meant it for the guy who made the video.

  • haha looser

  • screw u

  • is there some way i could buy one from you or maybe you could tell me how you made it and where to get the materials

  • It would be a hit at comicon ;)

  • you're an idiot.

  • Seriously, man, the people have spoken. You could make a fortune if you sold them. ^_^

  • lol its cause of ur breathing man its nothing special anyone u can make this too

  • First off, this is a kind of paint that either appears, or disappears with temperature. In this case, the breath from the wearer is what activates the effect. Secondly, it does not keep a symetrical shape. As you can see, not all the mask is made using thermochromic paint. The symetrical shape you see is regular paint and is always visible on the mask. Any questions hit me up. This is no rocket science folks!

  • yo please tell me what you did i want to make one

  • i know its heat paint and eveything how does it keep a symetrical shape?

  • XD i think i get it. he has black in the backround and a baloon material around it. he painted the black to make the marks and then left indents in areas so that when the balloon was blown away with air pockets it looked like it was moving :3 awsome

  • fail.

its an ink. and i found it on ebay too.

  • hes not gunna tell people how he did it because he doesnt want a bunch of other costumers running around with the same exact idea.

  • make a vid tut

  • just give us the brand of paint or link to the paint plz

  • dud can you make one for me??? how much will it cost?

  • How do you get the heat sensitive paint in/on the mask?

  • i not impressed

  • Comment removed

  • A system of small straws leading all around the mask could make it more realistic. Right now it's just moving at his mouth and nose...quite noticeably.

  • You all need to look harder. It's pretty simple. I'll post mine when I get the materials in.

  • That is very interesting man. I am not asking where you got the stuff and how you did it. Just how long did it take you to make it?

  • everybody....its thermal ink......notice how the color changes when he breaths.

i dont know where to get it, dont ask......its probably easier to do in post production

  • is that just one layer of tights?

  • oh my god, thats amazing

  • Where did you get it

  • is there anyway i can buy one from you??

  • Damn thats high bids on ebay

  • that is cool, my friend. you're gonna have to show us how you do that!

  • it's activated by your breath, of that much I am certain. it's only changing around the mouth and nose area. i know you're not going to tell how you made it but please answer this, can you at least see out of it?

  • I know you must get this often but can you send me the mixture for the paint you used or a tutorial?

  • DUDE!!! Is that that heat-sensitive stuff? I got some of that and tried it, but the only way i could get it to work was by putting it between two layers of latex, and for breathing I just had two little tubes leading to under my jacket to get fresh air... what's the stuff you used?

  • i have a feeling that we're going to have alot of Rorschachs' running around even before halloween.lol.(SERIOUSLY)

people are desperate for this mask.

  • were could i buy the paint/ink?

  • would i want to get a paint that is black and changes to white or vise versa?

  • were did you get the paint?

  • how well can you see through that

  • Can you send me the mixture you used?

I'm not sure which base to use to get the best effect.

  • I got the paints, I got the fabric, I'm ready to get this going! You're the best! I can't wait to show up with this and blow people away.

  • you have the paint? were did you get it?and how much? thanks in advance!

  • What kind of paint is it

  • Heat sensitive paint.

  • Where can we get it?

  • youll get no answer, no one will.

  • Comment removed

  • don't the paint fumes bother you? Pretty cool though.

  • No fumes at all, It's not eclipse or those other car paints.

(Which by the way guys I wouldn't advise wearing on something so close to your face, I don't have the mds but if its made for a car I wouldn't be wearing it over my eyes/nose/ mouth)

100% non toxic custom mixed for fabric .

  • what paint did you use exactly? and is all of it the color changing kind or is some of it regular black paint?

  • i think you proboblsy should tell how you did it before one of these idiot kids goes and puts something like eclipse next to their nose and dies of fumigation

  • not his problem dude

  • What is it, that you use?

  • I just came.

    Best thing ever.

  • Well done effect with the use of thermochromic paints. Raises the bar for Rorschach costumes.. very nice.

  • thermochromic paints eh? anyone know how to make them at home?

  • Sorry man, but this is 100% CG-free. If this was cgi it would look a lot more impressive. It's just a normal everyday chemical reaction.

  • chemical reaction of what

  • Heat. Heat activated paint. Duh.

He's breathing out. Do a little research before you go bashing people. You'll make yourself look like a complete asshole.

  • watch?v=q-ZlKhDI0wQ for a better look or just check my other videos.

  • ALMOST FIRST!!pretty cool but i didnt rly see it move

  • That honestly was badass and impressive. I think I've twigged how you make the Ink Blots dis and re appear with your heavy breathing. But it is easy to notice and kinda makes it look like you're having breathing problems. lol. Still, the fact that you've made a moving Ink Blot mask without any CGI at all deserve major respect despite any short comings. Now all you have to do is cosplay at a comic convention with it (If you haven't already) and get noticed, because this really is awesome.

  • lol hey dude....that is awesome....you have to wear that to the premiere people will be impressed like anything. I think I've cracked how u pulled it off. Am assuming that u must of used regular perminant marker for the bots on the mask but left out the area around your nose to mouth. There must be some sort of ink or marker that reacts to heat and when your blow hot air frm ur mouth it appears and slowly dissapers when you stop blowing....sorry to blow ur serect if this is out u did it....

  • That is awesome! You're the first one I've seen pull it off.

  • oh dude.... AWESOME.... you gotta post a tutorial... or at least let us LOH-ers know how you did it, lol
