Peter was spectacularly beautiful when he was young, maybe it's the eyelashes, the still, stern, authoratitive demeanour, and sharp wit, of course. There's *something* about him indeed.

I do agree that the mono version is better, somehow, but it hasn't stopped me listening to this a few times :-D

it is just astonishing.. great quality lift on the previous posts btw - only gripe (very minor one tho) is why you cut before the 'I'm not available line' which ends the performance???

You CAUGHT me!

Truth is - the audio came from the record, which was the audio used in the film. However, due to time constraints, they skipped a verse.

Thus, to have got that last line in, I'd have had to record the track, then SPLICE the missing chorus OUT - EXACTLY at the point the film's sound editor had.

Believe me - it was hard enough keeping the two in SYNCH, without THAT!

So I just FADED it before the line - but I wanted that pan up the then-youthful and gorgeous Peter [more]

[continued] so I FROZE the piece at the TOP of the pan - and hoped no-one would notice that he was just beginning that last line!

Thing is - thanks to YouTube's arbitrary "strike" system - you are never sure whether a piece will SURVIVE on YouTube.

Which tends to discourage you from spending TOO long on pieces anyway...

I understand the difficulties (tho the references to Yout tube strike are a bit of a mystery) but its just great to have this quality audio on a song that deserves to be out there. when I 1st heard it my face almost fell off i was so blown away. Any chance you 'll just post the who tune with a still ? As I susoect it is not easy to get hold of.. Well done anyway4 the syncing work... on a completely different tack theres a brilliant syncing job done here:
