The music from the NES version is far better than the MSX version. Completely honest opinion.
I'd love to see someone make a tribute to the MGS saga with this music playing. Perhaps including whichever MGS game Solid Snake will die in, considering he doesn't actually die in MGS4.
@noex100 You should be careful. You could spoil that for people that haven't played. And that's a really weird thing to say any ways. I mean, wouldn't they include the songs from that possible sequel anyways? Like, what does that story point have to do with someone NOT including that music?..... Peoples minds and the way the process things are weird.
This was a great song for sneaking around the jungle from guards and shit. I dunno I played the MSX version and the NES version and I actually liked the NES version's soundtrack way better even though it used some songs from the MSX original version.
DUDE! superb job. Having flashbacks of fun and frustration boiled in one and endless walks through a sand desert for hours! I loved this game and you're ability to mimick the theme song is outstanding! well done good sir !
Your one of THE best piano players I've ever had the honor of listening to, I have nothing but respect for someone of your caliber, sure there are things you may have to work on, like some missed notes (but for someone who doesn't need music, your terrific!), but thats what critique is for, but not me. Keep it up! Also, have you done a Zanzibar Breeze?
I've never seen then playing videogames songs. ask them for their version of terra´s theme - this guy has the best youtube video for that song! Pascal is indeed a great pianist! - can't say he is the best, thou! But guess nobody can! =)
well, the msx version was way better than nes version. in my opinion at least. kojima wasn't involved in developement of nes version in any way, and he didn't even like it.
It's true... but still it was a really great game back in time... Something different that REALLY pleased people... But yeah, MSX version was superior!
and the NES version had a lot of differences like different level designs and replaced the battle against the hind d with two turrets called twin shot, and Hideo Kojima had no direct involvement
He did. The original Metal Gear on the NES was simply the port of the MSX version. Metal Gear 2 on the NES was a game Hideo had no involvement in, not proper canon and just all up a total cock up.
ummm... no. It was NOT a direct port. I've played both versions, and Kojima was not in on it being ported over. MG2 was never ported over to the NES. Instead, a non-canon sequel called Snake's Revenge was made for the NES. This is not the same as MG2.
Most gamers know that Metal Gear 2 Snakes Revenge was the western made sequel that had nothing to do with the later released Japanese Metal Gear 2. However, many are unaware that many changes were made made to the original Metal Gear when it was ported from the MSX to the NES. The beginning jungle environment, and the metal gear fight being two scenarios that are wildly different.
Serieus, akoestische pianoes zijn veel beter dan die hedendaagse toets aanhouding onzin. Toetsenborden zijn slechts goed voor rock zoals liedjes, geen klassiek. laat dat aan klassieke pianoes.
It's not just the poor translation that people write it off for, it's also the unnecessary changes to the game itself, such as the replacing of the Hind D with "Twin Shot," parachute with iron glove, and the Metal Gear itself with a Super Computer. Oh and at points they moved where an item is (gas mask and mine detector), but forgot to update the script, so you'll be told where one of these is, and it's actually the other. >_o
dude i did not >_> you're totally crazy man, we speak dutch, there is no such thing as african-dutch, dutch is dutch, the way they speak dutch with there african accent is because they can't prenounce it correctly
als je nederlands bent, spreek dan ook gewoon nederlands man, en afrikaans is een taal dat weet ik, maar ik had het over nederlands met een afrikaans accent
Very good!
