  • Grow Potato's

  • hmmm, we are now in july 2011, struck by an even bigger drought, what will happen next year......

  • Hemp can make 50.000+ different types of products, it doesn't need alot of fertilizers an can actually make the soil better with crop rotation.

This could replace oil, no wonder it's illegal.

  • Hemp is the answer get your self righteous heads out of your ass's and legalize it.

  • Speculation on buying wheat? Good god. I suppose I can't blame people, some people have been shouting for 3 years now we are in danger of a food crisis and yet never reported on the media. Then a natural disaster or drought happens and those who listened to the good advice bought when cheap now sell higher.

And yet no one points out the media COMPLETELY IGNORED this story 2 years ago.

  • inb4 HAARP

  • Grain and meat will become the next Comodity bubble, like oil did 2 years ago.

  • MONSANTO is the biggest profiteers of this natural cycle, they use this to push their sales of chemicals and GMO seeds

  • russia already admitted that they manipulate their own weather, the gov is the prob for not wanting their citizens to thrive

  • strange there is no haarp comment yet lol

  • why do they not invest in some water pumps?

  • what up with the niggra on my scree?

  • run a freakin water pipeline to pakistan..they have a lot of rain these days...

  • i'm wondering where the irradiation plants are? Our wheat is being irradiated as well as fruits/vegs, oysters, meats..

  • The Greeks invented the derivitives market called Options Trading for such farmland problems... Russian farmers surely use this ancient system... do they not ?

  • What? Russians never heard of irrigation?

  • Start marketing SOYLENT GREEN. With nearly 7 billion humans that's a lot of meat which real life serial cannibals testified looks, smells and tastes like pork meat.

  • Chinese investors should be sitting pretty, since they bought most of the US grain reserves, paid for by US unemployed Walmart shoppers.

  • That Russian farmer wasn't growing Wheat!! That was safflower. Kinda hard to have a Wheat harvest, when all that was planted was Safflower.

  • It is not so bad at the moment but, if it continues for the next couple of years it will be a disaster for the whole world.

  • speculators create a market where producers can hedge their risk in the futures market..

  • Comment removed

  • Say hello to WTO & Codex Alimentarius

  • Its ok, just use those fields for opium poppies real fast. That will help to boost the economy in the dry regions.

  • I see a lake behind the girl reporter ever heard of pumps and sprinklers and irrigation of feilds to drain back into lake

  • We (America)...always find a way to keep our rivals in check.

  • give me a break with this BS..... The crop crisis is global.

  • can any one spell MONOCULTURE, any one know what PERMACULTURE is?

US crops have failed aswell. europes crops are down aleast 20% pakistan is underwater. mmmhh. going hungry yet?

  • There is always the Ukraine :p

  • The governments man made drought in California will limit fresh produce too. They have turned the water back on in some areas but it may still hurt the amount of food that has been produced. I fear food will be in short supply and these experts are dead wrong. We shall see in the next year or two.

  • @ShadeRage2007

As well as govt stated "record harvest." Undoubtedly as high as last years record grain harvest, which was not, due to wet spring(floods) and early frosts. BS abounds for the ignorant to consume, for free.

  • @ShadeRage2007 time to grow up and grow our own.

  • Grow hemp, it's easier to grow, no pesticide, little water, thousands of uses. Food, building materials, textiles, fuel, paper.... THINK !!

  • @gringodeltoro1 THINK PINK. cant smoke it.

  • @lookingforthemeaning Then grow cannabis on the side. Wink wink !

  • @gringodeltoro1 and if it catches fire set up some stands and charge people by the hour to "spectate" lol. ... side note to youtubers... I'm well aware of your argumentative nature and I don't need a botany lesson. It was after all, a joke.

  • @gringodeltoro1 Junkie.. i know your kind all too well.. We can't have that.. if marijuana becomes legal.. then we could have world peace... that's very bad for war.. very bad for armies.. very bad for government. I know your kind all too well!!

  • @GravDiga Then let's celebrate ! (now where did I put my tosh...)

  • @gringodeltoro1 I'm not sure what a tosh iz but i haven't smoked for over 4 years xD

but i'll ask my buddy to light one up for you.

  • @gringodeltoro1 is it edible?

  • @roaringwaterbay Yes, the seeds can be turned into oil (cooking oil), you can make hemp cookies, hemp pasta, or just eat it as a powder like supplement. It has a lot of proteins, amino acids, omega 3. It's easily digested, and gives you strength. (some bodybuilders use it).

  • @gringodeltoro1 Another top rated comment! Ha. I see you everywhere now! But once again you are correct brother.

  • @gringodeltoro1 How do you grow it without going to jail?

  • @SuperUnlawful Hemp is legal in Europe (though you may need licenses depending on the country). You can't get high from it (no THC unlike marijuana), but you can make all those products (paper, food, soap, oil, rooftops, furnitures, ropes, plastics, clothes, ethanol, bricks, even car interiors, and car body parts, hemp can replace anything made from petrolium. It's way cheaper, way stronger, way easier to get, and way more sustainable. It also absorb carbon minoxide, that means it cleans the air

  • Herr Franz Fischler said "Prussia" twice!

  • Great way of pushing USA`S GMO

  • @UkTruthSeeker2009

Oppose S:501. write your congress members.

  • Hum......looks like a field of sunflowers to me?
