  • THere's 2 o's in goose boys

  • great song

  • If i can't shoot this son of a b**** lets see if we can have a little fun with him

  • "I'm gonna brake and he'll fly right over us"

    "YOUR GONNA DO WHAT!"

  • まったく同感です。

  • music emotional for babies

  • who is the singer

  • @ALESITO23 cheap trick

  • Looks like Ken theme o_O

  • @KickFlipO6 Ken's theme was derived from this theme!

  • A-4 F-14A

  • street fighter II ken stage???

  • @miltond8 yep, you'd be amazed how many songs do this kinda thing, for example, faithfully by journey and elecman's theme or Music to watch girls by by Andy Williams and marble zone just to name a few.

that = mind blown (at least for me :P)

  • Does anyone know where to find the instrumental version of this ?

  • The comment section under these vids always crack me up.

  • Beware American Death from above at 1:40 seconds......Doom on you ! ! ! !

  • Yes that is correct.Its F-14A Tomcat

  • NO NO NO NO its a F-14 tomcat NOT A F86

  • この曲の高揚感は北斗の拳のタフボーイと双璧をなす素晴らしさだな!

  • Ive never known any advesary of the U.S. to have a higher kill ratio than the U.S. at any time since WWII . Not sure where you got your info from...

  • @maddogtannen1966, check your sources. Russian flown Mig-15's, not Korean flown. On History Channel they often show how US pilots had a 13:1 kill ratio against ALL Migs, but most of them are Korean flown. Against Russian flown Migs the ratio was not in favor of US pilots, which is understandable as Russian pilots were simply better due to their extensive combat experience in WWII on the Eastern Front.

  • @Voyconic you make a point. However, in the Korean War, U.S pilots rarely encountered russian flown mig-15s. Yes, the kill/death ratio was in favor of Russian pilots during any encounters around the beginning and mid-way through the war. But that ratio was evened out and sometimes favored U.S pilots to some extent near the end of the war. I do have to say that the U.S should, from a technological stand point, have won more dogfights since they had the superior F-86 sabre

  • @MetalHindu, that's relative. Mig-15 had a better climb rate and vertical maneuverability, and had far superior cannons. F-86 was I believe faster overall and had some creature comforts that Mig-15 pilots did not have. F-86 pilots also had g-suits. Soviet pilots would not trade their Mig-15s for an F-86, and vice-versa. It all came down to the man in the cockpit.

  • ya know i dont care what other country has "high tech" planes... the USA has one secret weapon and its the Pilot in our planes ---

oh ...also ask any pilot of the Libian air force - ha ha ha never mind

thats what happens when you get Russian flight hardware and training - flame out!

  • @nutbagbrew102, actually, in Korean War, where Russian flown Mig-15s faced American aircraft flown by American pilots, the kill ratio was 6:1 in favor of Russians. Against F-86, 2:1. This was accomplished while Russians were banned on communicating in Russian during engagements for the fear of them being identified as they were not supposed to be involved against official UN mission in Korea. Therefore, all is not so rosy for that secret weapon in planes once facing a worthy opponent.

  • @Voyconic thank you for your comment - but times have changed and todays Pilots in the USAF are he best trained and supported ever - i know as my son is a pilot righ now - you are right - the other countries are doing hier best to close the gap - but the future planes wont even have pilots? anyway thanks for the reply and happy vets weekend -

  • ... cool song

  • @B3JonnyB There's a raging fire in my pants tonight.

  • It takes nothing to realize you're Ken!

  • ken's theme?

  • I noticed some movie flaws in TOP-GUN..

Like the way the clouds move outside the cockpit and the plane

at 3rd person view is not doing any roll and the clouds in the

cockpit camera view is rolling like the plane is doing a right and left roll and some yaws

HOWEVER.. if you are living in 1986.. you wont notice them..

    THIS MOVIE is darn COOL

  • kens theme

  • cool song:)

  • @bigboy14100 i know what it feels like to have family involved in conflict,i totally get u :) on active duty, my paternal grandpa was maj gen in the army fought in the 71 conflict, my mums dad was involved in developing icbms have a few uncles in the navy as pilots as well, dad fought in the 99 conflict, but i still fail to understand the relevance of ure comment to the mentioned segment of a motion picture above. !!!???

  • the mig has alot of the same features as the american fighter jets

  • What is the name you hear the song?

  • Takes nothing to realize your/you're Ken!

  • i'm sure "top gun", esp. this is still great song and incredible soundtrack.

however, i apologize to leave this comment here, because i'm really keen to know that my friends say "rubbish". according to them, doubt his sexuality and army(incl. navy) make them gay world. is that true???

  • so many nerds talking about jets.LOLOLOL

  • @hotcreamables

And you are welcome to join the discussion!

  • @MikeSV1989 haha:)

  • Según lei, la USAF puso puestos de reclutamiento afuera de las salas de proyección. Sera tan cierto?

  • @puniopenetrante

Do you mean in the movie theathers where Top Gun was being watched, in 1986?!

  • @MikeSV1989 yes, dear sir

  • And to Sum it up. Did you that the F-15 will soon retire undefeated with a combat record of 104 kills and 0 losses. Talk about Air-superiority Fighter! Talk about the F-15. Outstanding!

  • Another interesting story, if my Russian friends forgieve me for telling, is that the 1983 born MIG-29 egineering is practically a rip-off combination between the F-15 ( on its majority), the F-16 and the F-18. But since the F-15 aerodynamics concepts were born from the MIG-25, but with the intention to make a fast, but much more maneuverable plane, who can blame who? That was the Cold War! USA and USSR ripping off each others weaponry.

  • The craziest story about the F-14 was that the United States sold 80 F-14s to Iran to cease the the constant incursions from MiG-25s to the Asian country's air space. Right after, Khomeini took the power from the shah and the only country that possesed th F-14 outside the USA was now their newest enemy, Iran, that still conserved the planes to this day and re-adpted them to use Russian AA-2 Atoll Missiles and newest avionics.

  • But what everyone seems to forget is that the F14 was designed to shoot down Soviet TU95 Bear bombers not dogfight MiGs

  • @HikingForSpirit

You are correct. The F-14 was an interceptor created to prevent the dangerous Bomber Tu-95 Bear from reaching close range to the United States or their allies. But also, the F-14 with its long range Phoenix missiles was created with the purpose to intercept the blistering fast MIG-25 Foxbat.

  • @angel85555

Hahahah and who wants to be an stupid MIG pilot?? :P

hahah im a F14 pilot hahah

  • enh theduvamilita they are T38s

  • Now, you screw up just this much... and you're gonna be flying a plane full of rubber dog shit outta Hong Kong!

  • alright guys.enough F-14 is bad/good talk.we can all agree it was great for its time and is a badass looking jet.but we all have to agree there's better now.

hell im a die hard F-14 fan and i will admit it's not the best.but i will admit grumman did a amazing job with it.

  • @leonscottkennedyre4

The 1970 born F-14 was a fantastic and revolutionary airplane. It's cutting edge design (beautiful!!!) and high tech avionics that could deal with multiple targets. The F-14 is still very dangerous until today thanks to it's qualities and its AIM-54 Phoenix 130km range missiles, still the most advanced and long range operational air-to-air missile. I just pointed that due to the nature of today's air patrol, the US Navy decided to substitute the F-14 for the F-18.

  • @leonscottkennedyre4 Sorry for disobeying your request, but in the film, when Mav fights Jester, Maverick does a roll/spiral/whatever it is that he did, and the F-14 nearly dropped, you could see it nearly falling if it weren't for its engines.

  • @Mugenloserhead i can understand that its big.its freaking huge.but its engines are also strong as hell.and i do believe i read somewhere that the F-14 didn't need a cat to launch off the a aircraft carrier.

  • @leonscottkennedyre4

Your comment on the engine power of the F-14 is right on! If you watch the entire video, its clear that this aircraft, when starting a turn, can do so with very high speed! The problem of the F-14 is the sharpest, slower turns, where the F-16, F-15 and the F-18 would got the best of the F-14. This was the same problem the F-4 had and it was the reason why Top Gun was created by the US Navy. To optimize the dogfighting maneuvering capabilities of the US Navy pilots.

  • @leonscottkennedyre4

It absolutely needed the catapult to launch off the carrier, as most naval airplanes do. (Except for V/STOL aircraft, of course!)

What I know is the upgraded F-14B and -D, with their more powerful F110 engines, could launch without using the afterburners. Unlike the original F-14A using the weaker TF30 engines.

  • a f16 is a shit plane a f 14 its very a cool plane i hate a f 16 oops

  • @MrSietse12345 Agree. Love that damn F14!

  • @MrSietse12345

Yeah, but bad news is that a group of F-16 would destroy a group of the F-14 in a dogfight. A group of F-18 would also succeed and that's one of the reasons why the F-18 replaced the F-14, which lacked the maneuver capacity of the F-16 and F-18 and were highly dependent on long range Phoenix missiles. The intro of the Amraamm missiles brought the twilight of the F-14. Watch the spiral maneuver in 2:54, the F-14 look like a cargo plane compared to the F-16 and F-18.

  • a f16 is a shit plane a f 14 its very cool plane i hate a f 16

  • colindominy ; Sorry ...I thought Cruise did an excellent job.....So did Val Kilmer .

  • Yep .. this movie was a great showpiece for US Navy Carrier Airpower & the great F-14 Fighter .. & also FighterTown USA. The ONLY bad part about the movie was that its star was that crushing bore Tom Cruise. Cruise ruins every movie he goes near .. that horrible smirk of his is disgusting to behold. If only he'd been omitted completely from this movie it would've been 1 of the all-time best.

  • @colindominy to bad

  • @colindominy

And to think that Tom Cruise was the second pick to play Maverick. Actually Scott Baio was the first pick. And he turned down the role! If he had accepted, then we would be free from the smirking midget. I also hate Tom Cruise in Top Gun, but I still like the Maverick character.

  • Top Gun soundtrack Is one of the best movie soundtracks of all time, this track Is my fave.

  • no its a f-15 you firetrucken dumbo

  • @IamAguitarrist

Later as the training progressed, the instructors taught Mav another harsh lesson when they brought down the entire class, concentrating their strategy on the breach provideded by Maverick's eagerness to dogfight against Viper. So, to me, this movie is focused around Marverick's coming of age and becoming a man, which happens in the worst conditions, after he lost his wingman and during a deadly real dogfight. Maverick had to overcome his demons and the instructors knew it.

  • Bshelton18 : I did see the devil at 1:40... Its called death from above . Whenever a bandit, whoever he is comes up agaist a U.S. pilot the pucker factor goes way up . The first feeling he gets is "crap Im going to die" . Hes right . U.S. pilots are the best trained in the world . No crap . What other country takes off and lands at night on a carrier ? None ..They are machines . Think "Iceman" . He just wears you down into doing something stupid . Then he fires off 100 lbs of H.E. up the ass .

  • Oh ya I have flown around quite a bit . In small aircraft . Pipers and others . You bounce around a lot . A bit disconcerting for those not used to it . God , when are the wings going to break off ! !

  • People who have never flown in small aircraft dont realize that you get bounced around quite a bit . You see Mav bouncing around and its quite accurate . You get bounced around a lot even though your flying level and true .

  • @IamAguitarrist : Theres no such thing as "dirty" in air combat .

MikeSV1989 : Gotcha , your right . At one point I knew them all . Been a long time . My dad was stationed in Norfolk Va. Back in the mid 1960s . Used to hear sonic booms a least 3 times day . Most people under 50 and had no affiliation with the military (military brat or actual service) have never heard a sonic boom . Sounds like a bomb going off a quarter mile away . Even had one window break as a result . Extremely loud .

  • I did see the "Devil" at 1:40 ! Good catch ! Didnt see it untill you mentioned it .

  • The one thing that strikes absolute fear into any nation on this world is going up against an American aviator ! The best in the world . All we do is help them go to their just reward . 13 to one kill ratio in Nam . Even higher since then . American Aviators are machines . Think "Iceman"... Never a mistake.. He simply wears you down into doing something stupid . Then 110 lbs of H.E. up the ass .

  • Holy Crap!! Does anyone else see the Devil face at 1:40?!

  • @Bshelton18 YEAH, i saw it to. Good eye

  • T-38s are the same thing as F-5s . T designation meaning trainer .

  • @maddogtannen1966

The T-38 Talon is an aircraft used in advanced dogfight and maneuver trainings. But the T-38 is a biplace aircraft so the aircraft used in the movie is actually the F-5E

  • Well the hard deck was 10000 feet and they went below the hard deck for just a moment . I.E. slighty below 10000 feet but in the movie they are shown at about 500 feet .

  • the planes that played the migs where actually T-38 talons

  • @Thunderbolt22A10 Could be, or could also be F-5's

  • 121 people r mig pilots

  • 2:56 If this is a dogfight simulation training then why is the F-14 armed with two Phoenix and two Sidewinders air-to-air missiles?!?

  • @MikeSV1989 My guess is to make it as realistic as possible

  • @NukedKrav

I think you're right on at your guess! The purpose is really to make the F-14s carry the same tanks and missile weight as they would use in real combat. Plus, it makes it harder to maneuver the aircraft. That's real Top Gun training!

  • Thumbs up if Ken brought you here (lol)!

  • WHAT THIS FEEL LIKE youtube.com/watch?v=wBo9wuvKjh8

  • WORLD WAR Z youtube.com/watch?v=GNg5zDtlNKc

  • I think their a little lower than the 10K foot hard deck like they said in the movie !...Looks like about 100 feet or so .....Whadya think ?.....

  • @maddogtannen1966 could be 10'000 ASL... rather than 10'000 AGL

    ASL = Above Sea Level

    AGL = Above Ground Level

  • @maddogtannen1966 didn't you saw the movie? they went lower the hard deck because the other pilots (Jester I think) went lower because they had maverick on their tail. So maverick shot them lower the hard deck and because of that the points didn't count

  • @IamAGuitarrist

According to Maveric's later statement, Jester played dirty. But I think, it was just another test put up against Maverick, who proved throughout the movie to be too much of a loose cannon. I think if he just waited just a little bit, considering he had the position and the altitude advantage, he would have taken Jester easily. But he rushed the play.

  • mon film culte !!!!

    j'adoreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Tittle please tell me

  • i think thats an F-5 not a mig..

my dad flew mig 25's/mig 29's for the IAF long time ago.. :) love the video miss the tomcat...

  • @ekommamik

IAF, Indian am I right? That is pretty awesome, ive always loved the Mig-29, and the Mig-25, both equally good aircraft. and yes thats an F-5E.

  • @TheDuvalMilitia At least someon ID'd the "Mig28's" properly.

  • @ekommamik my dad was on the ground getting shot at in vietnam

  • Фильм туповат.

  • for more cool video's in the air. have a look at "EXTREME AIR SPORTS" page on facebook.

  • The F-14 barrel rolling at 2:52 is my favourite shot of the movie, it just looks awesome.

  • lol Baby Top Gun! /watch?v=edHnHCYG9Jk

  • There's a raging boner in my pants tonight.

  • F-14 Tomcats, A-4 Skyhawks and F-5 Tigers FTW!!!!!!!

  • what's his name the title of this song

  • @gabrielluccio96 Mighty wings.

  • @gojira931 That's deep bro, lol, this soundtrack is kickass!

  • 120 people who disliked this video are Soviet Mig pilot groupie faggots

  • 120 people didnt get points because they were second best

  • maverick ya se penciono????

  • Love listening to this song while running! Feels like i can go on forever!

  • My dogfight dream would be to see a video of a Tomcat and a Sukhoi 35. I think that the russian would win in a close dogfight, eventhough the possible evolution of a tomcat in our era would had win the Sukhoi by distance.

  • After all the previous info, i have to mention that a lot of the movies of this character used to be founded by the USAF or USARMY itself - according to a documentary i saw .

This means that not only they could provide money but pilots as well. It was very easy for a producer to make a movie like that.

In our era though (Almost economic crisis), i don't know if they are willing to spend money on the entertainment-recruitment sector.

  • showw de bola

  • great song.. and make me recall those 80 90s epic songs.. make me full of passion.. awesome.. never get tired of listening to those songs.

  • @amztc48368 Yeh I have the same feeling, I want to find more of them lol

  • Man they could make this such an awesome remake, and Tom could come back as Viper!!

  • @Bshelton18 Cool thought, but this movie belongs in the 80s IMO. I doubt a remake would recapture the spirit. Plus, the endless CGI junk would be awful to watch.

  • @okyat the qualifications aren't different it's just that the f-18 has fly by wire technology which means that if the pilot passes out then the plane will automatically level out and fly straight until the pilot can take back over and it is run by computers so if you want to pull a hard right turn the computer will choose what you need to make that turn such as more roll or rudder etc.

  • Could Top Gun ever be Remade or get a Sequel ?

How many Pilots from Top Gun-1986 would have served in any of the Combat Situations that their Real World Illustrious US Naval Aviation Counterparts have been in since the First Gulf War of 1991....

  • Makes me want to fly an F-14 sooooo badly.

  • aqui é almirante Ronildo rodrigues da silva-me a nota é 10! pura adrenalina,

  • If a Mig-29 was on a F-14's tail it would be in BIG SHIT!

  • @canamwing good comment

  • 114 have lost that lovin feeling!

I hate it when that happens...

...bumbumbum..testing... ...You never close you eyes anymore when I kiss your liiiips... Take it away people!

  • This riff used in this song sounds a lot like Akina Nakamori's earlier 1984 J-pop hit "Jukkai"...

    watch?v=MQgVkr6nlOM

  • Great movie and good song, BUT flyboys wouldn't last long without traditional ground pounders ;) God(s) love infantry!

  • Saw the movie for the 10000xxxx time at the AMC in Naperville,Il. They re how older fims. Trivia question was what was the carrier in the beginning and end of the movie. Once the hostes said carrier I shouted out Enterprise before she finished, a few people got a kick out of it. Got 2 copies and gave them to 2 little boys who were in absolute awe and at the end of the movie wanted to fly the "tommycat"... The bar seen singing Lost that lovn feeling, the entire theatre kicked in, pretty funny.

  • F14 was a fat, overweight bastard masqerading as a fighter. Most it ever handled was a couple of Mig 23s. F15s were taking them down 3:1 in late-nineties excersises...lol

  • @deathwarmedup73 yea and during and linebacker 2 the f14s were averaging about 12:1

the f14 had the bonus of being able to engage from 150 kilometres away

  • ammar155 great vid dude keep up the top good work!
