Whenever I try to install it AN ERROR COMES THAT THE USER LOGGED IN DOESNT HAVE PRIVILEGE ON THE FILE OR FOLDER and I am logged in as a Admin. WTH?

Just right klick on a video you want as background (must be mpeg2) and then there should be an option "Set as desktop background" do that and then

you can go to the personalize page without the error

Its because you tried to use a 32bit hack on your 64bit system.

You either need to do a system restore or get the 2 files themecpl.dll and themecpl.dll.mui from you original install disc using 7 zip and opening the install.wmi file (google it).

Once you extract those 2 files you will need to rename the 32bit files found under windows\system32 and windows\system32\en-us and then copy the 64bit files you extracted to those locations.

I think this song is nicknamed 'Windows XP Secret Song'. It can be found in the system32 folder in the images folder in the oobe folder. It should be one of the files in that folder. You can only find it on an XP machine.

i can only get to the last step, it won't show any of the movies in the DreamScene movies folder when i go personalize>descktopbackground­>browse>downloads>dreamscenemo­vies> then it says "no items match your search" the movies are there, however. i can still open them with media, but can't set them as a background.

i've been trying for the last 3 days to get a video background lol... pissing me off a lot

you need to add some video loops

just download some free dreamscene loops or .mpg .wmv videos if not too long it will work

simply open up dreamscene selection in background settings and drag and drop your vid clips into the empty window and viola you should now beable to pick your dreamscene clip

i have found out the problem why it does not work on some vista's. For those of u who have sp1 installed, u are screwed as in it will no work.

any vista's that does not have a service pack installed, u are fine.

I have Vista with sp1 and it works for me, but i didn't use the method in the video

i used the patch and put the files in different directories and also removed the security on the files in the patch and it works like a charm now :)
