(comment @:15 sec.)...you obviously haven't been at an overly crowded Gentlemen's Club bruddah! Kepp up the topics, I feel more lolo everytime I click on them, t'anks yeah!
@DannysDisaster IMO we're gonna mimic swarm intelligence robotics and theres no "queen" but an idea. While it could be argued that the program/programmer is the queen it isn't because there's an inability for the robot to "create" its own idea.
@Tryp89 Like you said people become quite worried at the thought of being controlled by something or somebody else, being told what to do but not able to say no. I think it majorly conflicts with our current state of mind which is why it can't happen for many, many generations. Despite the fact we have a similarly structured synthetic hive mind (the internet), we have the ability to unplug or turn off, the way you described it scared me because I would be locked in.
@Yates94 It seems like it does conflict but it really doesn't. Multiple parties working towards one goal is extremely common (eg. iPhone manufacturing) I think because we are sentient we will have the ability to turn it on/off esp. in the case of a technological hive. Our hives would probably be closer to board rooms/the internet than a "controlled" bee hive, but this is all speculation. lol
I think there's going to be a massive convergence of technology and the human body. My stance is closer to technology causing a hive mind. The technology will be there and we will adopt it. That's my thought.
Call me a pessimist but I personally think we'll go extinct before any significant next steps in evolution

@devoykata Fair enough. That's probably the most likely. lol

In all hive minds there's a "queen." if we're moving into being a hive mind I worry who that queen would be.

Next step? Mutants. I solve all the problems.

@missjbm22 We're developing our psychic powers as we speak. Though yours is probably at a higher level than mine.
