What a comforting, sweet, beautiful, reassuring song. Heavenly Father, please touch the hearts of all listeners of this song with your tender loving care, especially those who are missing a loved one passed on. Thank you God. Have our praise, Your glory, forever. In Jesus' precious name, so be it. In memory of Jin Hee, 1987-1987, your daddy loves you little lady, see you soon
I first heard this comforting hymn at my uncle's funeral recited by an old Lutheran pastor with a German accent. Always makes me cry whether read, sung or recited.
My mother sung this as she passed away last week. It is very strange that she chose to sing this. I didnt know the words but she died with this song as my wife held her hand. Thank you for the cherished memories.
This is an awesome song. It is isn't a funeral song by no means. It is such a beautiful song written by Virgil and Blanch Brock. For me this song gives me hope to see Jesus Christ and our dear loved ones who gone before. I trust in God that we will see them. They feel no pain and they cry no more tears and they are safe from the wicked and the evils of this world.
This morning while me a nd my sister and my wife were holding our mother's hand and tell her th at we loved her so much, she passed away. We know that this is just for now and soon we all will be reunited in Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ. At that time there will be now more painful partings, we will all be together forever in the light of God's Amazing Grace!!!! She has requested this song to be played at her funeral.
Today I want to dedicate this song to the memory of Miss Karen Ann Barton who left this world on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. She left so many memories and so much love that it will flow over forever. Karen, just walk slowly down that long long path for someday you will hear us call your name. We love you and miss you so deeply
Thank you for this - my wife of 30 years has MS and it is starting to attack her arms and legs. With each passing day this song means so much more. I cannot imagine life without her but this wonderful piece reminds me of the promise of Heaven and the glorious reunion that awaits whichever of us is called home first.
This was one of my dear mother Mildred's favorite songs. She passed away recently and is now with her Heavenly Father, I searched for the song and found this rendition of it very beautiful and touching. I love you mom and miss you so very much...hope to see you there!
