@domtar i agree, on the recordings he did. but it sounds like when he played live, he used the neck by itself a lot to cut through the mix a little better. what do you think?
i know on texas flood, testify is totally neck and middle but when he plays it live it sounds like it's just the neck.
@stevenpaulwerth I believe Texas Flood was the neck, but Testify was for sure neck/middle. He does also use the middle pickup alone occasionally (I'm Cryin'). As for cutting through the mix, I have no problem doing it with the neck/middle position.

Try the neck/middle combo for pickups when playing SRV - thats what he used 99% of the time.
