  • I went there to visit my friend , that was a amazing the best time of my life!

    I miss Kyle so much

  • The Train station is remodelled. Your left turn indicated that you were returning from the direction of Towada City. The school on your left confirms your location. That left turn into that street with the covered walkways goes back to 79. The covered walkway ended at the Main Gates intersection. The Main Gates road formerly a "main street" intersection is now obliterated into a junk yard looking side road. Is that so?

  • Are you heading north toward Aomori, or south toward Hachinohe? Or west toward Towada? Those business still sit on the highway's edge don't they?

  • Still looking for a drive-by of Security Hill.

  • I guess "white pole road" keeps changing colors...lol. When I was there in 85-87 it was called "Yellow Brick Road" because the poles were yellow. Thought it was a cool name but the Japanese must not have been clear on the concept since they changed the color many times since. They have many parades there. Still looks pretty much the same

  • I remember it as Green Pole Road when I ws there from '86 to '90

  • I enjoyed your video. I was stationed there 1966-68. Are there any videos of the "Hill"? Thanks for the video!!

  • makes me want to do my own video about misawa and the local area. Just a video a little more interesting that doesn't make you want to fall asleep

  • Kinda sad to see the pole street getting ripped up. I'll miss the old stile street.

  • thanks for the nice tour! Made me nostalgic. I was in Misawa in the mid-1970s! A million years ago! LOL

  • Drat! Just noticed my mistake. Should read 3 or 4 mon for the school bags in the south.

If you're still at Misawa, perhaps you'd make a run-thru in these housing areas: F, W, A, and of course if B Battery is still there?

I was stationed here in the 70s.

And a Q: Is the Fantasia Club still in business? Just out the gate, straight ahead and 2nd street to the right.

  • Those school bags run 30 ~ 40 mon here in Fukuoka. Guess it is less expensive in the country.

And where is all the traffic?

Perhaps if you make another vid you might consider putting some Enka on? Don't get me wrong, it would just give vids of Japan more of a foreign feeling IMO.

  • Thanks for posting this nice video, what year did you film this? Thanks again.

  • Very Nice, really temperate-climate, I miss the snow! I tried to get Misawa, Yokota, but they sent me to Kadena.

  • Thanks for sharing this video

  • Wow! What a blast from the past. I was stationed there in 1986. Memories.

  • Can't believe how much White Pole Rd (Green Pole Rd) is torn up. There are a lot of buildings no longer there. I was there from 92-97.

  • You would be surprised how everything is changing...everything is getting remodeled!!!

  • Gotta hit up the Mutsu bay area... some weird stuff to look at along the coastline. Miss Veedol beach too... and the fisherman's wharf around there too (list goes on) Good photography...

  • Badass... Lawsons... I miss those.
