I totally understand where she is coming from, and this song spoke to me the first time i heard it. my parents were divorced when i was only 1 years old, but they still always got along, and i when to my dads every sunday and he has recently been battling cancer for the past 6 years, he has had two bone marrow transplants and both have failed, now he is dieing of lukiemia, im only 13 years old and the only thing that is helping my family and i get though this is God.
Sometimes I look around and see so much heart break and pain and hate that I can't see the hope that God's love gives us...I can't see how there can be true love...but every time I hear this song...I am reminded of that...I am truelly blessed never to have parents that seperated...but I have had alot of important people walk away, and had alot of heartache...this song hits a part of me that most people don't know exsist...maybe it's the lyrics or her voice...or it is God working...either way...

yeah, agreeed, my mom died when i was 9. but still, divorce is such a horrible thing to happen to anyone, and at least with my mom i knew (she was a christian) she was in a better place

i cant beleive it. im going through my parents divorce. i didnt relize this song could relate to it so much. yeh, its soo hard but i know God is with me the whole time. i just have to trust him and keep my faith in God

When me and my mom went to a presentation about the children in Africa that have AIDS, i thought of this song, when i sing it i always think of the poor little children. it always makes me cry. God bless!!

I used to think this song was about a dieing father...
It helped me when my dad died a week ago...
Its still hard and knowing the song is about something other than what I thought it was is a little odd but I still think of it as when my dad died....
I didnt want him to die, and I know that more than anything he loved me and my four siblings more than anything...
And thanks to this song I know that he is okay and I will be to...

I heard this song on the radio for the first time today. I was captivated after hearing the first verse and by the chorus I was balling my eyes out. I am recently divorced and have three little girls 6,8,and 11. I couldn't help thinking this is their story, too. Thanks Ms. Nicole for writing this song and allowing others to use it in their healing process.

My parents have been divorced since I was 2, and I remember being asked which person I wanted to live with.
I remember saying "I want to live with mummy and daddy."
It's painful to never be able to do that again.

i know its abt divorce, but it reminds me of when my husb. had an affair & we moved 300 mi.away to stay together & work it out. 1yr l8r, my mom had also had an affair & after she told my dad, he called me crying, actually, we were sobbing together. he kept asking me, "how'd u do it, hon? how did u get thru it? it hurts so bad" and all i could say is 'it wasn't me. thru prayer, God gave us a way of escape & me the grace to forgive' 3 yrs later, both of us are restored. "it's gonna be ok".
