It isnt a glitch, you saved right when you were about to get hit on low life. My recomendation, press ` and type in "god" then enter. it will make you invincible. Then take it off. Nobody likes cheating :)

Rofl. Doesnt matter. Just try it. Or if you can get gameshark codes, thats my Recomendation. Just try it.
If that doesnt work, try to just find some good cheats to warp to that level. ;)
