all zebras get pretty big. they average out at about 6" but have been known to get up to 9"

depends on the species of African Cichlid. The largest breed can get up to 70 cm (~28 in). The ones I had the largest was about 6-7 inches, the smallest full grown was about 3 inches.

Unfortunately the Mom fish died before the babies hatched.  I had a bunch of baby fish in that tank that were of varying species, they were all cute though :)

Spawning cichlids is easy, but making hybrids is WRONG. You should be banned from all pet stores and be neutered yourself so you can't breed or even have any sort of sexual activity! wait one mouth.if you have other cichlids in the tank besides the parents ..take her out and open her mouth up till fry start falling out in a separate tank or fry tumbler (same water and temp).its an easy process (stripping) open her mouth and dip her head in and out of the water until she spits all the fry out....if there are no other there cichlids in the tank she will release them herself..the fry should be free swimming after 30days.. the parents will take care of the fry when free swimming

The female looks like a crossbreed between a bumblebee and a livingstoni.

Yeah if you just leave them to themselves then as long as they're African Cichlids they'll interbreed. Our gravel was crushed rocks specifically meant for African Cichilids. We also had a digital PH meter we bought from Dr. Fosters and Smith. Our tank was a 120 and we had about 75-80 fish. Just be sure to have lots of places to hide. Serious breeders will take the holding female out and into another tank until the babies hatch.

You just need to have a large variety of fish...and let them be on their own. I didn't do anything besides make sure the temp was at 82 degrees Fahrenheit and make sure their PH was around 8.

My cichlids are not very territorial.

They act like community fish.

I'd had about 20 in there in one time.

Regular water changes is important. Every two weeks with big filter. Adding new fish is the challenge.

Overcrowding cichlids helps ease the agression. It's hard for them to chase one around the tank when 20 are in the way.
