This video help me decide to build my site in iweb. I bought a domain as well as a popular posting site (Dyndot). I did everything I'm supposed to do, but cannot get my site uploaded by Easy iweb, nor through and FTF exporter Cyberduck. It's been a week now of going back and forth with the host site staff neither I, or the staff there can figure out what I'm doing wrong. I built a web site through iweb about 4 years ago and remember have huge problems back then. Anybody else?

@roelsluper Do you know when you first opened iweb ? There was a 'site' button in the top left corner . Click that and the the mobileme thing comes up . Then there is a drop down menu click 'Local folder' from there its pretty much the same :) Hope this helped xx

@nospoc Click on the website name in the left website layout directory column. Your first option under Site Publishing Settings is publish to and you drop down menu choose folder. His video was for the old version. Hope this helps.

Out of all the video tutorials that 'help' you upload iWeb sites to the internet - yours is the best by a million miles and was the only 1 that worked for me. Cheers dude!

If a person publishes the site to a folder instead of mobileMe and use easy iweb publisher, he cannot access personal data on a different computer connected to the server using files in his external or flash drive.

Is there other way to let two people work on different macs without having to use mobileMe?

dekuscrubbyfan.. Hey sorry this didn't work out for you. I'm not the author of the tutorial. Was just saying that if you have iWeb09 and you know the FTP address of your hosting sight, you can put that in the server box of the FTP settings section along with the user name and password you created for your hosting sight. My recommendation is to go with Mobile Me for the $99 then you get hosting, email, 20GB disk storage and more. Remember, you have to purchase your domain name first. Approx $5 US

I finally got the configuration right and a "Site successfully uploaded" once I submitted. However, when I go to the website via Safari, none of the updates are up. Does this take some time? I updated the entire site so I may just be being impatient. Any thoughts? TY in advance.

You can publish directly to an independent ftp client in iweb 09 som this video only apply to iweb 08 or earlier versions.

It does work. See:
