  • Do Chuck!!!

    (Hungary)

  • He knows nothing about the PE!

  • Jesus, do some fucking research before you interview an icon like Chuck D!

  • the 70's throught the late 90's where the best, it had the best music and artists, I LOVE WATCHING THESE OLD INTERVIEWS AND VIDEOS! i wish i had a time machine!

  • maybe thats why he likes them?

because he see's in them what he saw in himself

and how can you steal a political ideology?

    x

  • You can like or dislike whatever you want but yout going by negative speculation and false thinking you can build into stereotype for you to believe in. If you didn't you would recognize that hypocritical statement of even bringing up SOAD which is a good band in my opinion but have much more mainstream acceptance in the media and by the youth of today. Not to mention they were on a major label aswell. SOAD would actually be a band "mallrats" and "Hot Topic-er" fans would go for more so.

  • Yeah, whatever, dude. So my argument is flawed and inconsistent, but nonetheless I stand by what I said SOAD is a band I support even though they are Hot Topic band. My logic is inconsistent on Rage, corporations and music. That's life, nothing is consistent.

  • @mcmikec48 no people are just stupid and dot listen to SOADs lyrics they arent nearly as frank as RATM

Hot Topic Bands - A7x, BFMV and other gay shit

  • bob marley did his protests with smooth rhytms but RATM practically screams it out. u cant hate RATM because between Bob Marley and RATM they're 2 totally different genres.

  • they both are aware of whats wrong.. but choose to express it differently. their message is all the same, the government sucks. just diff ways of dealing with it i guess.

    YEAH CHUCK D!

  • ratm and bob marley are both awesome

  • plus zack and bob has the same hairstyle :) ha

  • uhhh they don't use use everything. They are influenced in part by them everyone knows that. RATM are proud of Public Enemy as an influence. You act like it's a big secret. And I'm sure Rage didn't barrow evrything from them. Please don't bullshit to make it out to be something else other than one influence amoung others. And if you can influence a good message towards the youth would you then go oh look that kid stole that from me! No don't be an ass displaying hype to what only you like,

  • Do Rage even share everything in common regarding politics? And this band is distinctive and Tom Morello has a unique style. So on a level of just composition I don't see how you can't be down with rage even alittle. They fuse some nice elements to the metal and Zack brings a element of intensity to back the riffs. Shit some such as myself would say how the fuck you can say anything bad about this band with Redman in your favs.

  • I used to listen to Rage but after a while I wised up to a lot of things. For one, I got tired of everybody thinking Rage was the band that created political music PERIOD. Another, it doesn't make any sense to me that a band that talks a lot about "politics" was signed to a Sony label, one of the hugest corporations in the world. To me Rage was always for suburbanites and mall rats. System of a Down is a more unique band, I always recommend them to ppl instead.

  • Yes they did sign to that label and while in some views even in my own in a way I see that as a little hypocritical but perhaps thats a false way of thinking about it on my part aswell as yours. Most clothes even non-name brand stuff is made in sweat shops so it's hard to not support something like that which some would go against even myself. And it's not always a bad thing musically to have a major deal it simply depends on what they let you do with it.

  • And SOAD wete signed to Columbia Records so your argument is flawed aswell. And no one says Rage is the first to do political music that seems more to be the way you feel because you don't like them. No one has ever procliamed they were the first to have political views. Many people have even a little knowldge of punk rock which built itself around political issues. And your also making a generalization about RATM's fan simply because it's not in your taste.

  • Ummmmm...and get a radio show, or something, dude. Bitch people out there. I heard Howard Stern is getting too old and Dee Snider is annoying. Maybe you can debate them.

  • Perhaps you could actually say something with some thought behind it other then your bias agenda commenting on a video of something you don't even like. I don't like everything but I can say when something may or may not be in my taste but to bullshit about it is another thing. With little substance behind anything you have said your now just throwing empty insults as you have done before. Which after all is what you came to do.

  • And all music is a form of art whether you favor some or not dosen't change that. And I like a little Marley and often his possitive feel but that seems odd to compare regarding feel or composition to this band. Please you act as if as whatever you have to like must all be trully groundbreaking and gifted beyond belief. Yeah sure because Redman is so developed musically. Great what music trully needs another fake thug perona supported by many unoriginal samples. Take your bullshit elsewhere.

  • @mcmikec48 System lost me after "Toxicity". I can still respect their message.

  • We need more people like chuck D [2]
