  • Walt Disney saw him in the movie THEM and from there got him to come in for an interview for his TV series he was working on at the time---Davy Crockett---

  • Bacana!! Aqui no Brasil a série Daniel Boone com Fess Parker fez muito sucesso na década de 1970.

  • bye daniell boone por siempre estaras en nuestros corazones gran actor fess parker good bye forever

  • Great actor, I watched Daniel Boone all mornings here in Brazil!

  • assiti muito esse grande personagem da tv grande daniel boone.

  • Not only a great actor but a wonderful man that, along with his wife Marcy raised a beautiful family. One of a kind and one of the last heroes of my generation. My favorite two shows were the Daniel Boone Show and Bonanza... it's sad that not many from those series are left with us. Ed Ames is still going strong and still sounds great with his wonderful singing voice... check him out here on YT... Mingo is still a great singer!

  • Thank You Fess for being part of my childhood. Rest in Peace while waiting for the rest of us in the beyond since: March 18 2010

  • Can't hear Fess --

  • Bless his family, I hope they help keep his memory alive for the public.

  • fess was the last of the tradtional TV actor's,

    wholesome, personable, traditional value's,

  • Always remember you, Fess Parker.

  • icon of Americana...

  • inesquecílvel!!!!! fez parte da minha infãncia!!!

  • This is great because Parker is old there but his voice still sounds the same. I wanted one of those coonskin caps in the worst way as a kid but couldn't get one so since I was tanned with long raven black hair I always played Mingo and my friend Ashley, (whose Dad got him a coonskin cap) got to be Daniel. Anyhow a great show and good memories. Parker was typecast, though, mainly because he was 6' 7" tall!

  • @4freespeech Are you serious? He was 6'7"?

  • This brought a tear,I havn't seen Fess since Boone. Damn Father time! R.I.P. Fess

  • another legend we will never see again a proper cowboy

  • Yea, I had my coon skin hat too. To me Mr. Parker was Davy Crockett! Thanks to him for his wonderful portrayal of a true American hero.

  • i knew this guy before he pasted away he help my family alot

  • only problem is he wasnt in the dirty dozen........

  • I loved him in the Dirty Dozen.

Class act, no doubt he will be missed

    RIP Fess

  • @Veekator

That actor was clint Walker not Fess.

  • Unlike today, during the 50s-60s & 70s, kids had great role models on tv to look up to. Fess did an outstanding job. His portrayal of the character was Christian, unselfish, honest, tenacious, & had a strong persuasion of trying to do what was right. Type of guy that kids, black or white, could emulate. That's all but gone now and we have a rude, obnoxious, "family guy" generation today to show for it.

  • Rest in Peace, Mr. Parker. You will be never forgotten!

  • R.I.P - Mr. Fess Parker (Daniel Boone)

  • My dear friend Fess, you were the kindest man I have ever known in my life. You were a true man in every sense of the word. I Loved you and Marcy both so much. To be around you was magical, just to see the love and respect between you, I never wanted to leave! My heart is with Marcy, Eli, and Ashley at this time. Farewell for now my friend, with much love. Star

  • You made 2 well known pioneers of this great country come alive. The country will be short a mighty fine man. I hope the younger generations will view the old reruns- it might be the only way they even have an inkling of an important time in the young beginning of the USA . God Bless the family

  • R.I.P. Mr. Parker

  • I met the man & his family, very nice, sweet and good sense of humor. A big lose...all my sympaties for his wife Marcella and children...& grandchilds

  • I watch reruns of Daniel Boone now and as a child I enjoyed his shows, although I was not born when he made those shows. We need more actors like Fess. God bless his family and RIP Fess, you were one in a million.

  • a little boring and detailed but such a very humble man..

  • We're gonna miss you, Fess!

  • My Mom saved my Coonskin cap even after I had long since grown up. She has passed away, but I found & still have the cap. And I can still sing the words to both Davey Crockett & Daniel Boone ( The original ones, & the rather dirty ones we made up). Great memories.

  • Thanks for the memories, Mr. Parker RIP

    Dave

  • I love each and every episode of daniel boone. Also he starred in a wonderful movie called " Smokey", everyone who loves Fess should watch this movie if you haven't already. Love you Fess

  • I love Fess but he single-handedly promoted the MYTH that Daniel Boone & Davy Crocket wore coonskin caps.

  • As a rapidly ageing baby boomer...I want to thank Fess Parker for all the warm memories I still have of Davy Crockett. Everyone of us had a "coon skin hat."

  • Fess Parker IS Davy Crockett.

  • He was so important to me. I watched Daniel Boone. Fess was like the Dad I never had.

  • I shook hands with Fess when I was 8 years old back in 1967! WOW, he was my hero!

  • This man is still good looking in young & old life, with softness , charisma, gentleness all rolled into one. Wish the men of today, were half as good Jx

  • Wonderfull guy..I grew up watching Davy Crockett.(reruns, i was born in 1967).......I didn't realize untill a couple years ago that Fess all so played Daniel Boone on TV untill the DVD's came out .....I only knew about Davy Crockett...

  • me alegra muchisimo ver a fess el legendario dadiel boone soy un admirador y seguidor de la serie daniel boone i am very hapy to see you fess i am you n.1 fan i have posters and the complit clleccion of daniel boone

  • He said San Angelo, TX. My mother said at one time they lived in Brownwood, TX, actually next door neighbor to my mother on Durham Street.

  • Fess Parker is more a man at 76 in this interview than any other of these pitiful excuses for "men" in acting today. How I miss those shows like Daniel Boone! I don't even have an antenna, and certainly not cable on my TV, as guys like Fess and his shows are long gone. Just filth now.

  • He could put on a coonskin cap, & STILL pass for Daniel Boone!

  • THIS is a MAN!!!!

  • I loved watching all the Davy Crockett / Daniel Boone shows that he was in. Nobody could've played that part better!

  • Great guy...
